Shaitani eyed the food with a hunger eating at his stomach, "Maybe we can play more after we eat," he said, the word grinding oddly from his mouth. "I'm kind of hungry as well." He trotted over the the corcass and tore at the flesh, glad to get some sort of food in his stomach.

Xiao crouched behind her sister, a concerned look on her face. "Kun Yi... why must you always fight? You're going to get us into trouble..." Her voice faded off, she didn't want her sister to get mad at her next.

"alright" Akira said sitting down to wash himself, still watching the two new kittens 'maybe i should go introduce myself...but then again...i don't want to get my ears ripped off by the red one...' he thought and shivered, licking his grey pelt 'but the blue one seems friendly' he thought

"It's not like we're staying long enough to get into trouble." The red cub snorted. "What's he going to do to me? I'm not of his Pride." Annoyed amethyst eyes swung towards the older ones eating from the carcass. "Is there going to be anything left when they're done?"

Leanna gave a deep throated sigh. The red one was so pugnacious, she was going to cause trouble. "Already in my mind, Sir." She replied when he asked her to watch the young one. Looking over at Xiao she smiled. "Alright, let's get you some food." Moving over to the carcass, she unsheathed on claw and began to cug strips of meat off the hind-quaters. Once she had about 6 good strips, she carried them over to the two cubs. "If you need any more food, do not hesitate to ask. I will get it for you..." She scanned over to the two cubs and lowered her muzzle to the eyelevel of the red one. "And may I ask again..what is your name, fierce fighter? Or could we just call you that?" Leanna wasn't being sarcastic in any way. This cub would become a great lioness one day, she could see it. The sitter tried to give one of her encouraging smiles wishing the little one could trust her more.

Kun Yi blinked and then gave a ghost of a smile. "I like that name..." She lowered her head, watching her sister for a moment before looking back at the liger. "Fan Kun Yi...we're twins...at least that's what momma said before she died." One strip of meat was hooked and pulled over to her sister and another was grabbed for herself.

"Oh..I apologize for your mother's untimely death..." Leanna gave a concerned look, but quickly banished it from her thoughts. "You do have a beautiful name, though. I suppose I may call you Kun Yi for short? Or maybe I shall give you a nickname of my own..." She racked her brain for nicknames that fit this young cub well. She had quite a many, but she wanted to pick the perfect one.

The cub chewed thoughtfully before shrugging. "It doesn't matter either way. We're not staying long." She watched Leanna to gauge her reactions. Xiao Rou might want to stay but she wasn't as content. In her stomach, she had a feeling that just might be forced to stay by the one lion who knew her.

Leanna kept a placid face not sure of how to react. Slowly choosing her words, she began. "Well..maybe you could stay until you can be on your own...out there as a cub is..extremely dangerous. Bad things could happen...maybe for the sake of your sister..stay. You're the only family she has..and family should stay together..." She got in absent look in her eyes remembering her family. Karver had his pride while Anya was with a neighboring one. She stifled a sigh wondering how they were doing.

Kun Yi growled at the older lioness. "I can protect my sister!" The black and red tail slashed through the air, a clear sign of her annoyance. Who did she think she was? Of COURSE Kun Yi could protect her sister! She'd been doing it since the day she was born, hadn't she? The red cub didn't trust anyone else to do it. Not that black and white poof of a King or this lioness.

She was losing her cool. Leanna could snap on this cub at any moment. Her muscles quivered to do so, but she held it back. 'No confrontation...' she thought and slowly gave a calm gaze at her. "I didn't say you couldn't protect your sister. I didn't even mention that. All I said was that maybe you should stay here for the sake of your sister if she so choses to stay here. But if you want, I'm not going to stop you at all. That's your choice and that's your life, but don't endanger your sister because of your pride!" The last part she spat out as her frontal fangs began to bare. "Could you live with yourself if you sister was attacked by a bigger, stronger lion? If she was crippled for the rest of her life because of an injury you thought you could protect her from? Or maybe from a disease only young lions can get. Nature has many cruel ways to bring life and end it. You should cherish yours and your sister's." Leanna hoped to get her point across. If not, she would give up. She's done as much as she could do. If Kun Yi wanted to go out, then fine, but she shouldn't endanger her sister because of stupid cub pride!

The red cub recoiled from the verbal attack. She snuggled back into her sisters' side, ears flat against her skull. Amethyst jewels stared back the liger lioness, gleaming brightly in the cave light with tears. Kun yi rapidly blinked, refusing to shed them. She didn't even want to think about that! Her sister would live, and she'd make sure she did.

Leanna's gaze softened at the cub, but she didn't say anything. She hoped that Kun Yi would understand that she's just too young to protect her sister now. Maybe when they were older would she understand, but they were just babies. Shaking her head, Leanna let them be and trotted over to the meat pile. She nibbled on some of the meat.

On the other side of the lioness, Nola swollowed a chunk of meat before looking over at the other two cubs. "Even if you can protect her fow can you be sure that you can protect your self? Don't you care about your own life or how your sister would get by without you?" She said before curling up again. "Your lucky to have found a place that might let you in. Stop and think for a change." She couldn't help but be annoyed by the other cub's behavior. It was reckless. It would get her and her sister killed and that was something too tragic for the small female to fathom. She had seen such things in her old home...felt like she was lucky such things didn't happen to her before she found Ling's pride.

Leanna couldn't help but smile quietly at Nola's comment, but didn't talk much. She simply nodded agreeing with the cub that was wise beyong her years. Slowly yawning, she quickly went over to some water to wash off her paws and muzzle. Going back into the den she curled up at the entrance guarding it with her body. Nobody could get in or out unless they awoke her. Yawning, Leanna closed her eyes and dozed off slightly finally able to get some rest.
