She had just finished drying her coat when a wave hit her. She growled in surprised and turned to see the first cub she met. His name unknown to her. A second one appeared as well making her wonder how many children were actually here. Would she have to play Den Mother again? She chuckled gently and went toward them. "Hello, Little Ones." She spoke gently to them, motherly tone thick in her voice. "I don't think we have been introduced...I am Leanna...but you can just call me Lee-Lee." The lioness couldn't help but chuckle at the name that was given to her by her brother, Karver. Flicking her tail gently, she looked at them both. "And who are you two handsome cubs?" Atleast she was getting to know some of the pride members. In time, she wished to know all of them...

Sano's head popped out of the water, a grin wide on his muzzle. "Well, my name is Sanoshi, but most everybody calls me Sano for short." Bowing, his tail flicking out of the water. Standing up, his head bairly poking out of the water, he again grinned. "Lee-Lee eh? interesting...." he laughed, and ducked under the water, swimming off.

Tengai was a bit surprised by Sano's sudden appearence, grinning faintly in spite of himself as the kitten lunged into the water. He turned his attention back to to Leanna as she introduced herself. The cub's ears twitched as she spoke to them in the way his mother have, though he said nothing. Maybe it was a coincidence.
... he didn't think he liked it, though.
It didn't stop him from offering her a small smile as he tilted his head in greeting. "My name's Tengai. Just Tengai -- I haven't really got a nickname, sorry." The smile grew a bit stronger at that. "Nice to meet you Lee-Lee."

She smiled gently. "It's nice to meet you both, Tengai and Sano." Her tail flicked gently as she stretched. "What can you young cubs tell me about this land?" She wanted to start a conversation with them...as well as learn some information. Leanna, however, would not go past sensitive boundaries, such as the recent loss of the queen. Her heart gently fell for these cubs, wondering if one of them was the child of the departed queen. She suppressed a sigh, trying to happy for them. Leanna began to dry the wet spots on her coat, flakes waving gently.

Sano poked his head out of the water, and climed on a rock, to get a better view of Leanna. "Well...you'd have to ask Tengai about these lands...i just got here...not two weeks before you." Sano gave a nod toward Tengai. "but, I can tell you that your very safe here. Ferrian and Lady Wistaria will be sure of that." Grinning, he gave a shake, attempting to get the water out of his fur. "I have a question Leanna, if I may, what brings you to our pride?" He asked, smiling. as he hoped that that wasn't to rude of a question. Kall had taught him much better than that. "I'm sorry, Leanna, that was rude of me." He said bowing, "you don't have to answer that"

Tengai sat down, fidgeting for a moment as he settled. "Well... um... there's a whole lot to see. All the land's really pretty. There's grasslands over there, the mountains there..." He smiled fondly as he peered out across the water, tailtip twitching thoughtfully from side to side. "This part's my favorite. Especially the falls. I remember the first time I saw them, back when -- "
-- when mom bought them home for the first time. The first time they met their father and the rest of their family. He faltered for a moment, ears back, before flashing Sano and Leanna a sheepish, weak little smile. "Nevermind. That's not such a good story." He was fidgeting again. "But, yeah. I could probably show you guys around sometime, if you wanted. Hearing about the land's nothing compared to seeing it, you know?"

Ferrian caught a glimpse of Sano leaping into the water, and he, Tengai, and Leanna all meeting. He smiled and went back to wading through the waters, wondering where Inishiro was once more. The blue coated Prince had been distant, silent.. Always leaving at dusk, returning at dawn.. Slipping away from the Den to spend the day. He didn't seem to want to be anywhere near his family. Sensing Wistaria's closeness, Ferrian grinned. For a moment he forgot about his family's troubles. His mate was close, his whole world. "Wistaria?"

Leanna gave both cubs gentle looks. Her tail flicked gently. "What brought me here....don't worry Sano, I can answer. I guess...you can say that I wanted to start my life over..." She smiled at them gently and noticed Tengai's tone in his explenation. "Yes, I'd love a tour of your lands. Whenever you are ready to let me see them, Tangai, Sano, let me know." Her ears twitched gently causing her flakes to quiver. "Well...I wonder what I can do now...are you all hungry? I can catch something to eat for us?" She questioned them gently giving off a caring and loving smile to them.

Sano nodded, thankful that he didn't upset her. "actually, i am quite hungry..." grinning sheepishly, he glanced at Tengai, sending him a reassuring look. Sano knew that he'd be ok, but after the death of his mother, Tengai just wasn't the same. It upset Sano to know that his friend was sad, but so was the entire pride. He chuckled, thinking of this as a 'rebuilding season'. He shook his head, and turned his attenton back to Leanna.

Wistaria slipped into sight, wearing a smile of her own. "My love... " She came to pause near the edge of the king's pool, that pinprick of nerves coming back into play. But no amount of nerves could have stifled the joy bubbling within the lioness, shining nearly so brightly as the love it was nestled comfortably alongside. "There is something I need to tell you, " she purred softly.
Tengai frowned a little at her explanation. "Why would you want to start your life over?, " he asked, brow furrowing. Wasn't it better to hold onto you still had? It just didn't make sense to him. Ever since his mother had died, he'd tried desperately to hold onto whatever pieces were left behind. Even if more and more it felt like a losing battle, he couldn't imagine running off and forgetting about them... they were his family!
He seemed to shrink away after that, shifting awkwardly all over again. "Nevermind. I just... nevermind." The cub shook his head. Moving right along.
"Anyway, I'd be glad to show you guys around... just let me know when you want to go, okay?" He stood up, backing up a step or two as he flashed them a small smile. "I'm not too hungry right now, sorry. You two go on ahead."
... which might have been convincing if his stomach didn't take that very moment to rumble its displeasure, loud and clear as the falls themselves.

"Its...complicated..., Tengai." Leanna gave a gentle sigh, tail flicking. "Maybe, one day I will tell you, but not today..." She looked over at the falls. "There is already too much sorrow in these lands..." The lioness's ears twitched as she heard the rumble of the cub's stomach. She looked gently back at Tengai. "Alright...I suppose a hunting lesson shall be in order?" She got up, the silver scar upon her left hind thigh glimmered gently in the faint light. She would limp from time to time upon that leg, but it mad her remember the dangers of a hunt...and for her to be more precise and careful in them. Leanna chuffed at the ubs gently. "Follow if you wish." She left the coolness of the falls back to the heat of the lands. It was getting late, and she would need to hunt quickly. The blood began to simmer in her veins as the excitement pumped through her heart. She felt young again, picking up her pace. Her flakes gently quivered as she tried to sense prey nearby, her eyes full of unwavering determination. The hunter's instincts slowly flooding over her...

Sano blinked, watching Leanna head off. "i think...i'ma gonna watch from a tree...you commin' Tengai?" he asked, his proper speech gone. He figured since she was a new friend, that she'd understand. Locating a tree, and not waiting on Tengai, he climed up, and took a seat, where he could view Leanna hunt. This was going to be fun. He smirked, watch Leanna. "she's a good hunter." he commented,to no one in particular.

Striding out of the pool, Ferrian gave a gentle shake to free his coat of the water. Free of the water, he paced to her with a loving smile and nuzzled her cheek. "Something to tell me, Dear Heart?" He prompted, purring in her ear. "I await your words." He wondered at her excitement and silence, nervousness and joy, but was awestruck at the beauty and life within her very presence. She was stunning.

Her claws sheathed and unsheathed out of her paws. Her muscles grew tense as she came closer to the small herd of gazelle. The pickings weren't the greatest, but she would have to go for one that would feed herself as well as the little ones. Providing leftovers wouldn't be bad either. Steadying her breathing, her primal eyes gazed over until she saw her target: a wounded female lagging behind the group. Flicking her ears, she weaved through the grasses, keeping low to the ground and down wind, she paced herself, getting closer and closer...until her muscles were ready to spring...

Sano watched as Leanna went after a gazelle. "she zoned in the the weakest one right away...." he wispered, eyes wide. she's amazing... shifting in the tree, and trying not to make to much noise, he waited, and watched.
