Cathy and Captain Rachel's attention suddenly snapped back to the ship as both the sky shark and the Shadow Skirter emerged from the stormfront. The lightening, thunder and rain suddenly ceased around them, now nothing more than a broiling mass of dark clouds behind them. The stormfront had done its job, allowing the Shadow Skirter to reach the Steelforge fleet:



The massive fleet was an awesome sight to behold. Hundreds of ships spread out before them as far as the eye could see. Some seemed to be as small as fishing ships, others were larger than even battleships. There were various different types but every single one was armed to the teeth. At first nothing happened when the Shadow Skirter and the sky shark emerged from the clouds, as if the entire fleet were looking up at them with surprise and alarm. Then the shooting began. Hundreds upon hundreds of guns turned upon the two newcomers and in an instant the sky was filled with explosions. These cannons were much larger and more advanced than those of the Shadow Skirter. Explosive shells raced past the small pirate ship as Captain Rachel dodged and weaved as best she could. One tore into the nose of the ship, its explosion rocking the entire vessel and blowing a chunk out of its bow.

The sky shark was taking the brunt of the attack; red blotches blossomed all over the beast as explosive shells easily found their mark, tearing into its massive body. The sky shark didn't seemed too concerned with this however. As it saw its new, larger prey it pulled away from the Shadow Skirter, heading straight for the nearest battle ship as its massive maw opened wide.

Meanwhile, aboard the Shadow Skirter rats were racing back and forth across the deck, doing their best to help the Captain change direction and putting out fires as more explosions hit the ship. Atticus found himself being lifted out of the darkness until he once again lay upon the deck amidst the chaos of the attack.

Within several minutes fighter planes began to bubble out of the carrier ships like angry swarms of wasps, their engines screaming as they came straight for the shark and the pirate ship.



In the middle of the massive fleet sat their target; the capital ship known as "The Siegebreaker", piloted by Admiral Alex. Captain Rachel began steering through the storm of explosions as she did her best to aim for the flagship.




Cathy ran to the bow of the ship, her hair and tail streaming in the wind. "We've gotta get close enough to get you guys aboard!" She called to the team, doing her best to be heard above the explosions. "There's no way we can take it down from the outside without a fleet of our own!" The fighters hadn't reached them yet but they were fast approaching. Cathy watched them warily as they came. "Dodging shells is one thing but dodging these fighters will be another! You guys have gotta complete the mission before they shoot us down! The sky shark should distract most of them but we can't hold out forever!" The Siegebreaker seemed to grow larger and larger as they approached, dwarfing the pirate ship almost as much as they sky shark did. Cathy grabbed her ears as they got closer to it. "How in the world are we supposed to fight something like that!?" She yelled.

While he was busy seeing everything happen through the eyes of the rats, Atticus' consciousness would return to his body as he felt it lift slowly out of the darkness and seconds later he would appear back on the upper deck, his wounds completely healed. Opening his eyes, Atticus would be welcomed with a chaotic scene. Explosions in the air, bullets flying pass him and multiple air ships. Oddly enough, Atticus did not seem too distracted by all of this as he had seen it all through the rats. Standing up, Atticus looked around for Shira and saw her writing the shark, smiling he would call out to her, "Now who's being reckless?" Looking over towards the direction Cathy was, Atticus would have a serious look on his face, "You sound like you are giving up." he told her as he walked beside her and placed his hand on her shoulder, "Don't worry, we will be able to succeed." he said, smiling. Looking at the ship as they got closer to it, Atticus seemed to have another reckless plan in his mind. Transforming his hands back into swords, Atticus would prepare to jump aboard the gigantic airship.

Captain Rachel didn't seem to believe Atticus when he said he was the demon who would destroy the world. "Sure thing, just try not to do it in my lifetime." She walked across the deck as they approached the Siegebreaker. Cathy made sure they were all lined up on the edge of the Shadow Skirter, ready to jump when the Captain gave the word.

Meanwhile, the sky shark tore into the fleet. It hit its first target with the full momentum it had built up while chasing the Shadow Skirter. The massive battleship literally tore in half, both sides spinning away like tops as they plummeted to the ocean. There would clearly be no survivors. This slowed the sky shark down enough to swallow a smaller frigate whole. Shira would be able to hear the wood and metal crunch and break as it was crushed by the shark's powerful throat muscles when it swallowed. The shark continued on its rampage, bleeding from dozens upon dozens of wounds. Clearly the fleet would kill it sooner or later but for the time being it was tearing them apart. The shark shot past two cruisers, the wind of its passing knocking them off-balance. Being less maneuverable than the Shadow Skirter, they were unable to recover and began nose-diving towards the ocean miles below them. The fighters reached the shark and began buzzing angrily around it, firing their rockets and mini-guns into the beast. It would only be a matter of time before they realized that Shira was controlling it and would focus their firepower on her.

The massive ships began breaking formation as they attempted to get into positions that would make it harder for the sky shark to kill more than one at a time. One of the massive battleships was too slow and the sky shark chomped down on it. The beast's massive teeth tore through the engine room, setting off a chain reaction of explosions that sent the ship careening out of control as it died.

Finally, the Shadow Skirter reached its destination and flew over the open hull of the Siegebreaker. Cathy began pushing off the Weapons and Meisters one by one, causing them to fall onto the hull below them. When she was finished, Captain Rachel walked up behind her. "Go with them Cathy. They need someone who knows the layout of ships. I can handle things up here." Cathy looked at her wide-eyed. "What!? No! Captain I-" Before Cathy could finish the Captain gave her a shove off the side, causing her to fall onto the hull with the rest of the group.

Both engines Il for the farthest one Trey said as he got ready for a fight Hmm wont this be fun Niko,Iko let's go Trey said as he jumped down on to hull of the massive ship waiting for the other's to arrive Alrighty let's show them what we can do A yellow flame bursted into Trey's eye as the soul charged pistol he had was loaded and ready to go.

Cathy looked at the two as she slowly got up. She was still upset that the Captain had pushed her off and looked back up at the Shadow Skirter angrily as it flew off, several fighters hot on its tail. She rubbed her head and turned back to Trey and Lucien. "First we'll have to find a way in. We can't do much damage from out here," she told them. She considered Lucien's question for a moment. "Well, there's gonna be guards all over the place, but I'd say the bridge where the Admiral is will be the most heavily guarded." She walked over to one of the many hatches that led inside the Siegebreaker and kicked it slightly. "Anyone wanna tear this open?" She asked them. The massive turrets scattered up and down the hull continued to swivel and roar as they tracked the sky shark, doing their best to bring the massive beast down.

Cathy pulled out her custom pistol and made sure it was loaded. "Once we kill the Admiral and destroy the engines we'll only have a little bit of time to escape before the ship sinks. The Shadow Skirter should come back to pick us up, so we should make our way back out to the hull." She looked back to the sky worriedly as she thought about the Captain before giving a sigh. "So Trey wants to go for the engines and Lucien you want to go for the Admiral? What about you Atticus?" She asked.
