Dolsia mewed again, and her short little legs carried her slowily to the top of the hill. She sat down, looking around all lost-like, and mewed again, "bubba?"

Rell materialised out of the darkness, smiling down at a little female who seemed to be searching for one of his pride-mates. He crouched and smiled.
"Greetings lost one." He said in a gentle voice. "I'm Rellick, and this is my Pride Lands... You wouldn't happen to be searching for Aygra, would you?"
He recalled the little male mentioning a sister when he agreed to join the Pride.

Brooke appeared behind Rellick, treading softly.
'Boo!' She whispered into his ear. 'Hey, Rell.'
She turned her focus onto the little cub.
'Here, I'll take her back if you want. Aygra may have followed me out.' She added, peering into the darkness behind her for a sign of the cub.

Rell smiled a hello to Brooke, slightly surprised to find her still awake. He had been restless, and gone on a late night patrol. On the way out, he had run across a small band of hyenas... On the way back, a cub.
"It must be our day for visitors. " He said dryly. "I'll be returning to the den... Is Aygra lost out there?"
He turned to the darkness and cocked his head. "Best get this little one to the den in any case, and then find her brother."

Dolsia was lost for words for a while, while the two conversed, "oh, ah, yes'sir. I lost my brother, Aygra." She nodded.

Brooke shook her head.
'Naw, if he followed me out, I know where he'll be.' She said. She knew she had followed a very distinctively trail, so that if the cub had followed her out and lost sight of her, he could still find her way to them with no problem.

Rell smiled at the little femme.
"He's here... Safe and sound.. Are you hungry or thirsty little one?"
He glanced at Brooke and flicked his tail. "How about you find him while I take her back to the den? Since you know his trail so well..."

"uah, I dun wanna be no trouble, but,." She continued in a smaller voice, "Buy yeah, I am kinda thursty,.." She looked down at her little feet shyly.

'Alright.' Brooke nodded and turned back up the trail. 'Aygra? Aygra, y'out there?' She called softly into the darkness, wondering if the cub had come out at all.

Amaree woke in the middle of the night to a strange sound. It was howling, but not like the regular wolf howling... were the hyenas back? Amaree nestled Revyn and got up, jumping from rock to rock til she got down to the den. She walked out of the den slightly so that the moon didn't quite shine on her. She looked warily out of the den toward the sounds of the howling. She hoped they weren't back. That they weren't even coming. Amaree glanced over at the kills that had been picked over. Maybe it would be wise to watch over them for the night. Amaree sat down next to the two carcasses and kept her eyes open for a long as possible. When the howling seemed to be gone, she jumped back up to her ledge and immediately fell asleep next to her adopted cub.

When the barking started, the Dark Prince was torn from his slumber. Grumbling under his breath at the yapping mongrels, the adult forced himself to get up. Why did he have to go look? It wasn't his responsibility. He just wanted some good shuteye.
Yawning, he noticed the yowling went away when he had wandered far enough away to be irritated. However, another scent caught his nose. That and a new one.
Jay spotted Rellick's scarlet coat in the darkness and he was awake. "Hey Rell..."
Aygra leapt out of the dark, tackling his sister. "Where have you been?"

Dolsia was tackled to the ground by her brother, "hahaha! Bubba!!" She laughed and batted at him, "I think I should be asking you that question!"

Brooke grinned at the two cubs, looking at Rellick. 'There we go.' She said. 'So, were you done the patrol, or...?' She added. If he hadn't been on his way back to the den, she didn't want herself or the cubs to be in his way.

Rell's golden eyes were turned toward the darkness, though he flicked an ear at the sound of Jay calling him. He had just gotten back from patrol, and wouldn't you know? Those mangy mutts were back. He growled and shook himself.
"Brooke.. Find one of the other lionesses and take the cubs to drink, then back to the den with all of you..."
He turned to eye the dark adult. "I would be very appreciative if Jay went with you as well."
With a soft smile he faced the night, claws unsheathed. "I have some business to attend to."

Amaree was shaken awake by the noise of the den. Brooke was running around trying to wake everyone up. But for what? At this time of night, Amaree couldn't guess. She nudged Revyn. "Get up sleepy head, there's something going on..." Amaree took the sleepy cub in her mouth and jumped down. She put Revyn down and padded over to Brooke. "What's going on? I thought I heard hyenas earlier, and I woke up. Are they back?" Amaree was a little weary of what was going on. She hated hyenas although she had never so much as seen one. But the smell of fresh meat brings out things that are more horrible than hyenas. She looked around, making sure she could count off everyone, including the new cub that had suddenly appeared. The Pride was growing already. She looked around for Rellick. She spotted Jayvn and headed to him instead. "Where is Rellick? Don't tell me he's gone out there by himself. What if there are too many hyenas for him to take on by himself? Jayvn, please, please go after him..." Her eyes pleaded with the adult male. One teenage lion against three hyenas was even a scary ratio. She didn't want anything to happen to Rellick.
