Demyx purred as he was patted. Despite the purr, he was a bit annoyed at Luxord's statement.
"Heeeeey! I'm not stupid!"
Grumbling a bit, the sitarist rested his head on Luxord's shoulder, pouting for extra sympathy value.
"And it's not nice to call him a stick in the mud...even if I dunno what that means..."
Green eyes shifted to Felicia a moment, pout still in place.

Felicia gave Demyx a sad puppy dog look. "It means he is making me feel very very upset and sad..." Tears were in her eyes...she looked close to crying. Of course it was all fake. But just by guessing the way that Kaleb and Demyx acted, they would surely fall for it. She sniffled a bit and her 'tearful' looking eyes moved back to Kaleb. "If you would have me, I'd love to join you at the book store." She rubbed her eyes a bit, returning them to a normal look. What an actress, she thought she'd get an oscar for a performance like that.

He turned his head and nuzzled Demyx. "No, but you are rather silly. Just makes you, you." He liked that Demyx wasnt all that 'together' most of the time. It was a welcome reprieve from himself and the others.
Looking at Felicia he sighed. "You know. Fake tears are rather insulting. And that is not what a 'stick in the mud' is. It just means i am dull and borring, not tha i am rude and upsetting to people"

Kaleb glanced away from the conversation between Luxord and Felicia, and didn't even notice when she looked in his direction. Confrontations made him nervous, even quiet and not-so violent ones like this, and once he got that anxious knot in his stomach it would take at least an hour of quiet time to make it go away.
He took a step back as he bit his lower lip, but then the neon sign from the bookstore caught his eye. "I-I'm going to go see if the bookstore has what I'm looking for. Felicia, if you are still dizzy, please sit for a moment before trying to walk." The small mage nervously bowed his head a bit, before turning and making his way towards the bookstore. He fully expected the rest to follow at their own pace, but even the brief walk across the food court would be enough to get his thoughts back in order.

"You shouldn't lie..and he's not dull or boring, so don't call him names! Hrmph..."
Demyx nuzzled back, purring a bit.
"I don't think you're boring..."
The sitarist's gaze followed Kaleb as he walked off.
"We gonna follow him?..."

She glared at Luxord. It was his stupid fault that there was a fight. He he hadn't shown up all gung-ho, Kaleb might have stayed. Shaking her head and sighing she walked away. "Fine, you all suit yourselfs. I don't need you guys anyway! And who do you think you are coming in like you own the place, I was here first you know! But fine, whatever, I don't care!" She huffed and slowly went after Kaleb. But before totally getting away from them she turned around. "Hey, beard-o, you already have someone to care about, is it that hard to see that I might want someone like that too?" She looked...fairly upset, and not like from before, this was real emotion. Knocking over a table as she gripped onto it as she turned around dizzily. Trying to look all serious when you're not feeling alright was probably a very stupid move on her part. But she was determined. She went through the food court and arrived outside the bookstore. "Been a long while since I went to one of these..." She spoke to herself.

"Women." He shook his head. He'd seen Kaleb first so technally she wasnt 'there first' he'd had first dibs. Besides, he hadnt come to care about Demyx that way at first so she wasnt going to find people like that if she ran around thinking that she could 'own' people like that.
He petted Demyx. "I dont know. I really dont think he likes confrontations and i highly doubt that Felicia and myself are going to get along"

Kaleb had been able to slip into the bookstore like it was the most natural thing. It was a relaxing and reassuring place, and with every deep breath and aisle passed he could feel the tension slipping from his shoulders. Near the back of the shop he found what he was looking for, the small selection of giant magical tomes.
The mage smiled as he approached them, and tilted his head so he could read the titles printed in gold leaf along the massive spines. Some titles didn't appear until he touched the book itself, wizards could often be pretty picky over who they let read their writings.

"Mmrph...."
Demyx sighed, leaving his head resting on Luxord's shoulder.
"You guys shouldn't fight...any of you...it's stupid really..."
He watched Felicia go, and glanced over to the store Kaleb had disappeared into.
"If...we aren't going after them...where are we gonna go?"

Felicia stepped into the store, looking around. Now where would she find a little mage in a store like this.
...better question...where WOULDN'T she find him. Eyeing the "Pornography" sign above a bunch of shelves she shook her head. He wouldn't be there...no matter HOW hard she wished.
Looking all the way in the back she heard some noises. It could be him. It probably was. She'd have to go up to him tactfully though. He seemed afraid of people...or atleast women.
Tiptoeing through the store, making her way next to Kaleb she spoke softly, trying not to startle him. "Looking for anything in perticular, Kaleb? Can I help?"

"I know we shouldnt, but some personalityes weren't ment to get along" He shook his head. Felicia was just going after Kaleb because he was cute, there was no way in that short time she had formulated anything other than that, hell it took a few days for him to care for Demyx like he did.
"Do you want to go after them? If you do we will, otherwise i bet there is a cookie shop in here somewhere"

Despite Felicia's best attempts, Kaleb's startled jump nearly cleared half a foot as he covered his mouth to keep from yelping. "S-sorry," he appologised when he recognized who it was, "I-I didn't hear you coming..."
The small healer wore a sheepish look, accentuated by the blush spreading across his nose. "I d-don't know if you would be able to help," he stuttered, adjusting his glasses. I"'m looking for something on accelerated cell transdifferentiation and higher order conversion tables, but I'd expect it's protected with a weave so only mages with the required magical strength can read them." He placed a delicate hand on the spine of a large book to demonstrate, the title, Parallel Forks of Noahl's Third Prophesy, appearing in a flowing gold script only when his hand touched the book.

"Maybe we should follo----wait..."
Demyx paused, ears perking up at the word cookies.
"There might be a cookie shop here? Let's go there!"
The sitarist giggled happily, for the moment remaining on his perch on Luxord's back.

Felicia paused and watched Kaleb. "Want me to be honest with you?" She laughed a bit. "I have no clue what accelerated cell transdifferentiation and higher order conversion tables mean..." she laughed more. "But whatever it is, it soulds pretty interesting. The last person I met like you was more of a science person, til magic started creeping in his life. Then he sort of balanced them both and become some sort of amazing person."
She coughed loudly. "Kaleb, about when I first met you, I have to apologize. I didn't mean to scare you. I didn't know you were afraid of women...or people...or whatever it was that you're afraid of about me." Felicia smiled a bit. "If you're afraid of women in leather then I'm sorry, this is all I have to wear and considering there's nothing under this, taking it off is out of the question..." she paused "...unless...hehe...nevermind."
Putting her paws together she gave another chipper smile. "Even if I can't help you, do you mind if I hang around and watch you for a while?"

He chuckled. Always with the cookies. "Then we shall go find you a cookie, or two." Most malls had cookie places, or at least shops full of sweets, for thoes impule buyers.
"After we find you a cookie we can see about finding Kaleb"
