"alright...might as well get going." she began to head that direction. It had become cold, winter of course setting in, and standing still caused the somwhat old mare to get cold, quick...and she didn't like the cold. the more she moved, the warmer she felt, the happier she'd be.

Aku fell into step beside her, and kept the pace comfortable for the mare. He crowed with glee internally that she had risen to his bait. A daring plan was what he was doing. But he was having fun with this. Outside though, he appeared calm, and he looked around interestedly at the surroundings. I haven't really walked anywhere. I might have to do this more often. This is fun.

"sure, its tons of fun, for the first mile or so..then it gets painful. and you have to walk around every obstical, like a lake, or a stream. esspecially when its cold...thats the worst..." she said, keeping a steady pace as her legs warmed up again before then begain to throb. If she ever ran away again she would have to plan it for warmer weather.

But if it's cold, wouldnt you be able to walk over the lake or stream? Especially now, they would have been able to freeze. Or is it not cold enough yet for that? He had no intention of walking long distances, but she didn't need to know that.

Tie snorted. "thats not what i ment. I ment the coldness can make walking painful, unless your some young idiot with no experience. but i'm...not old...but i'm not young neither...so the colder it is, and the farther i walk, the more my stupid legs hurt..."she snorted again.

I'm sorry your legs hurt. At some point, I will probably myself get to that stage. But then again, I'm a demon. I'm not quite like you. It may never happen, or it might come sooner. He shrugged. I don't know myself. And there are none other around here that are older that I can ask.

Tie just snorted and raised her head a bit. She stayed silent however and continued onward, speeding up her pace a bit. What was she doing? A part of her whispered that she was in danger, making a bad desision...but another told her that perhaps another stallion would be good for her....even if it was a small thing...it would be good.

He kept an easy pace with her, making sure the mare did not fall behind, or get too far ahead. It was an easy pace they kept. As the continued to walk, they took the rise that lead to the valley with the apple trees in it

Tie's eyes wandered to the stallion. She watched him...thinking...was he really as nice as he seemed? If so then why was he alone. He was, accept for the slight evil look, rather handsom. He would have no trouble getting a mare, or several...unless they had a reason...or were any he had met turned off by the fact he looked evil, being a demon as he was.

Aku walked along, respecting the mares silence so it seemed. He was actually plotting in the silence between them. He thought he recognized this mare. She belonged to one of the main herd leaders. What would happen if he found that he had lost his mare to him? He grinned evily, though kept it from his expression.

Tie sighed a bit and spoke finally. "Why are you alone?" she asked simply. the curiousity was to great. for a demon he seemed vary nice....and Tie was never one to easily be fooled into kindness. She was vary harsh, even to Racer at times, tho he understood her words when no one else did. She began to feel sad, almost to crying, but shook her head and stopped it. Racer had made this desision. He chose Macha over her...it was his fault.

Aku shrugged. Not many will allow themselves to be close to a demon. We are too.... 'demonic'.... for their sanity. So, not many stay around when I arrive. it's alright though. I like to be alone. No one can betray you, or hurt you this way. He said it a bit forlornly.

"hmm...i used to think that way...until i met Racer...and lived at the ranch and got to know Lita...the human who cares for us if we need it. I cared for Racer as he grew up until he grew to a stallion...and then he became my mate..." she let out a some what shuttering breath as she looked away, eyes wet with tears. "he was my mate...before that jerk picked his mother...the worst demon i have ever seen...over me...." She snorted. "that little witch has attacked members of our herd! and he defends her? I don't care if her mate left her, she has no right to attack an innocent angel!" Tie was rather pissed now, and a bit surprised...she had told a complete stanger about her and Racer! She fell silent after this outburst.

Aku nodded. I can see why you would be angry with him. Especially if someone had hurt some of your herdmates. Though, maybe he had a good reason for defending her. I wouldn't know though, since I have not been around your herd. I mostly stay out here. That's how I know about the apples.

Parent or not, heart broken or not, she had no right. and if he wants to let her stay, he can count me out. thats why i'm out here...to get away from him." she responded.
