"Nothing in particular," she replied, her green eyes looking up, "Was there something you wanted to talk about?" She was actually wondering a bit about what they were doing. Here they were, spending three days worth of a date together, and they didn't know exactly where they were heading with it. She supposed it was better to let it go wherever it would go, but it didn't hurt for her just to ask the question to herself once in a while.

"Something I want to talk about in particular? Well, not really." He thought over it a moment, his list still not formed on conversation topics despite trying to draw one up. They could talk about the date they were on, which was probably the longest date any namrah have ever been on. Actually, that would be an interesting way to start a conversation. Then it could probably go on from there. "I think this date we're on is the longest one in the history of Namiah," he said with a laugh.
(*thows confetti* Yay! biggrin )

Talitha blinked at first when it appeared they had been thinking of the same thing. Then she laughed and replied, "Yes, we're going to have to see if anyone's been keeping track, we could have a record!" Her tail flicked back and forth a little uncertainly as she wondered if he wanted to go into a deeper discussion regarding their date. "Have you been on any other dates?" she asked, hoping she wasn't being too blunt in her curiosity about the general topic.

"No, I've never been on a date before," replied Lexis, not minding the directness of the inquery. While he said it the incident that occured in his teenhood crossed his mind, when he had overheard something said by Sara's human friend Slushi regarding him and a female namir who was not yet in Namiah. He wondered if he should even mention it, considering that it really didn't matter any since nothing happened (he couldn't even recall if he even met the girl in question), and decided against it. He might bring it up if it went closer down that route, but as of now he'll just let the conversation be about them.

Talitha thought for a moment, "I'd try talking about my dating past, but I don't really have one since the only male Namrah I'm not afraid of is you xd " She wondered if the length of their unusual date meant anything, then decided not to think quite that hard about it yet, trying instead to think of another question she might ask and wonder if Lexis had any questions for her.

Lexis pondered for a moment. That one detail aways made him wonder about Talitha's past. He wasn't sure if there was an instance that caused her to be scared of males, or if she just didn't like them. He decided to leave that topic alone, at least for now. Why bring up possibly bad memories while on a date? "So what was your childhood like?" Lexis inquired. He didn't know much about Talitha's past when he thought about it. She probably didn't know about his own childhood either, so this might be a good way to get to know one another better.

Talitha laughed a little nervously, "Well, I didn't really have a childhood... I sort of just appeared one Halloween..." Switching the subject off of her nonexistant past she asked about his, "What was you're childhood like?"

Lexis wasn't too surprised to hear that Talitha didn't remember her childhood. He knew that there were many namrah out there who didn't. It's one of the mysteries of Namiah, much like the mystery of those parentless eggs that appear every so often.
"Mine was pretty nice. I remember that Seth used to watch me when I was little because I didn't live near my mom or dad. He taught me how to read, though I was more interested in playing or listening to music. I think it was Chaos and Adaire who taught me how to swim. As a teen I really didn't socialize that much though. I don't think there was a reason why either. I just stopped hanging out at the clearing quite so much. I came back as an adult though."
After telling Talitha roughly what his life story was, he felt a fish start to nibble a bit. While it was interested in the food, he could tell that it hadn't quite latched on yet. He waited patiently for the fish to bite.

"That sounds really nice!" Talitha said, her ears twitching happily, "My first time in the clearing was during a breeding spree..." Talitha stopped to shudder a bit. "That was when I became afraid of males, I didn't want to be forced to be with someone I hardly knew for the sake of seeing how cute our offspring would be..." she didn't know quite why she had started about that, but it didn't seem as bad now that she actually knew a male and knew her owner wouldn't force her to breed.

"Yeah, the humans can get pretty excited about breeding, so much so that some of them do pair namrah up with another. Sometimes I think they get more excited about it than the actual parents." His mind turned back to that incident with Pierrot. Since the incident related perfectly to the topic at hand, he figured he'd mention it.
"Actually, there was this one human who was a friend of Sara that wanted to pair one of her namrah up with me. Luckily Sara was hesitant about it and her friend backed down. As a matter of fact, I don't even think the namir she was trying to pair me up with was in Namiah at the time. Weird, huh?"
The fish began to nibble more, until Lexis knew that it was time to strike. Pulling up on the string to get the make-shift hook to latch onto the fish, Lexis felt a struggle on the other end as if the fish was in pain. He smiled, happy that the hook seemed to work, and started to bring up the line.

Talitha sat bolt upright when he started to explain about the match-up, relaxing visibly when he said it never happened. She looked up again in excitement when the line began to move and he began to pull it up.
(Ack, horrible post...)

Lexis continued to pull upward on the line, noting by the strength of the opposing pulls that the fish must be of fair size. Not a giant, but that was just perfect in Lexis' book. No need to snap the only line they have. Finally, with one great pull, Lexis pulled out a flopping fish onto the surface of the ice. "We got one!" he exclaimed, happy that their fishing pole worked.
(That's okay. ^^)

"Yay!" Talitha said, bouncing up and down in her excitement. Her ears twitched and she paused in her bouncing as a question came to her, "What do we do with it now?"

Lexis lifted up the fish and looked at it. It was still flopping around a bit. "I suppose we have to kill it so that it doesn't flop all over the house." To be honest, he wasn't all that great at killing fish. Especially when they were flopping up a storm like this one was.

Talitha winced and hid under her tail, highly disliking the idea of killing it. "Couldn't we just bring it to Chaos like that and let her take care of it?" she pleaded.
