Oooh. I get that. I click no to not abort the script and it works just fine. Sometimes I get the message two or three times, though. ):

I've tried clicking no, and then going to do something else. I come back an hour later and my computer is still frozen solid. If I click yes, and refresh a billion times, I can get in eventually. But having the wrestle with the stupid thing for two hours is not my idea of good times. I wish Gaia would wise up to the fact that Flash is not practical for everything. In fact, it's not practical for a good 75% of the things they use it for.

Yeah. I think it needs a huge re-design because of all the problems it has. I wish they'd never overhauled it in the first place and given it a million useless features...because I never had problems loading it before even with a large number of items. But they did, and now I think they should look into the changes they made and make the whole thing a lot more simple and user friendly.

My computer seems to handle it fine, but then again, it is brand new. I'd let you use it for your arranging needs if it were possible. ):

Yeah, my computer is just a little younger than Gaia itself, and only a laptop to boot. But there are tons of people with even shittier machines out there. If Gaia is as strapped for cash as they keep telling everyone, they should understand not everybody buys a new system ever year or two.

Pyre: Sorry! Just making sure! XD

I also heard that Adobe Flash Player (version 9.0.115) had something wrong with it. Maybe you could download an earlier one?

But that is a lot of hassle. sweatdrop

Gaia is a very intensive site to upload, isn't it? :/

Edit: Also, your sig's link isn't working. I think you need to take out the "amp;" after the "&" sign.

And yes I would get pissed if someone said I was a racist pig-eating decadent imperialist.

Haha, that's exactly what I was wondering. Does it have a bad connotation like the term Oriental does?

Old people are funny. They have the sweetest intentions, but sometimes they don't realize... the things they say or do when they're trying to be friendly. xD
I'm pretty sure everyone works with stereotypes to some degree regardless of culture.

Haha, for sure. We've all had our share of uncomfortable cultural experiences, whether it's a group of guys following my sisters and I while yelling "ching chong" after us, or my boyfriend having decreased chances of getting into the grad programs he wants because he's not from a low-income family of a minority ethnicity. Or a teacher at my international school assuming that I couldn't speak English because I looked Asian (she'd forget every time I explained to her that I was from the USA. I'm a native English speaker and hated being talked to like a 3-year-old, haha.)

But everyone does the best they can. An open mind goes a long way.

People discriminate alot against my mother and I. stare (Also, when I go to places with my dad, they assume I'm his mistress. E.g. at his work the guards thought I was his girlfriend so they said I couldn't join him in his office. until I showed them my ID and dad explained that I am his daughter..)

If there is one thing I can't stand, it's racism. I hate it when people display their ignorant racist points of view. I tend to get into discussions all the time, no matter what table I sit at, because of this.

Luckily, the neonazi graduated.

Completely off-topic to what everyone else is talking about, but I totally just taught myself how to juggle. Without breaking anything around me or hitting myself in the face ridiculously much - which is saying something, since I'm one of those people that manages to stab themselves in the eye when simply trying to move a strand of hair out of their face.

Carry on, I just had to share my glee somewhere. =D

This is a chat thread, you can't be off topic. razz

I can't juggle, I tried, but I can't. I also miss rhythm.

I have a pretty decent sense of rhythm (except when it comes to dancing, and then I just fail), but I'm not quite at the point where it looks like there's a rhythm to my juggling - it's more just me randomly tossing three balls in the air and not dropping every single one of them.
The first time I ever tried juggling was nine years ago, and I mostly hit myself in the face. It was just an in-class thing, and I never bothered after that...but my boy juggles rather well, and I've been watching him and another of our friends practice juggling for a couple months now, so that probably helped a lot. Silly boy left his hackeysacks here, so I had something to practice with.

And you could be off-topic if you tried...maybe...? *shrug* I had a theory for how it'd work, but I lost it.

Maybe you could be offtopic by going into great detail about one topic? Like talking about the constitution for days instead of just making a new topic about the subject. razz

Haha, yeah, especially if no one responded to what you were saying.

Man, for some reason a couple days ago I was trying to remember stuff about the Constitution, 'cause I used to know a lot - we were required to take this huge test on it in 8th grade and had to pass it to graduate - and I don't remember any of it. None of my classes after that ever went into any detail about it, which is kind of sad.

I'm pretty sure you can look up the constitution online. razz

I remember when I took my German course - which is in the same street as where my dad works, so I had coffee/tea with my dad at his work before going to the Goethe Institute - one of my dad's young Italian trainees asked him who I was, what my name was and how old I was. sweatdrop

On the last day I got to know a girl better from the course, she goes to uni in Glasgow. She's great. She went to her prom in a tuxedo. xd
