Lrak smiled when the girl came in. He was suprised to find it wasn't the usuall girl.
"Please, come have a seat," he said as he poured the girl a glass of wine and gave a chuckle as he looked at the girl. "I'm not that big and scary am I?"

Ombra barked out a, "No!" then winced at the force of her tone. "That is you're not scary. Or big. But you're not small either! You're perfect." Again she noticably winced at her choice of words and made her way to the table to set her own food down, narrowly missing the turned up end of the carpet. She did a small hop and skip to avoid it and ended up landing less gracefully in her chair than she could have hoped for. Realizing that if she opened her mouth again to try and repair the earlier damage she would only make it worse, Ombra kept her lips sealed and her eyes adverted. Her cheeks were burning with heat and she knew an embaressing blush had spread accross her face.Yes Ombra, she thought to herself, he'll now be falling over himself to pay attention to the clumsy, loud, girl in his tent.

Lrak gave a barking laugh at the young woman's actions. It had been so long since he had seen some humanity.
"I definitly needed that. Stareing at stiff soldiers and obediant twits is enough to drive anyone mad. Now young lady, what is your name, and what do you normally do in my army," Lrak asked as he took a bite of his food. It was the slightest bit cold be he didn't mind. Made him feel more like the commoner he was born as.

Ombra couldn't bring herself to answer him without meeting his eyes - she may be a lot of things but rude wasn't one of them. She secretly wished he wouldn't address her as young lady - she wasn't a child and he was hardly an old man! "My name is Ombra and I help with laundry, cooking, breaking down and setting up camp..." Ombra waved a delicate hand in a circle as if to say whatever needs to get done. She could of course fight as all children of Ignis are taught to do so but it wasn't her preferance.
Now that she had answered him she needed something to do to occupy her hands. She began to eat to keep herself from nervously smoothing her clothes. She had checked her appearing in a shield that had been propped against another tent but she didn't exactly have time to groom.

"So you are part of the backbone of this army. I thank you very much for that," Lrak smiled. It was very true that without the help of the support staff, most of this army wouldn't be able to stand on their feet. He sipped at his wine as he watched the girl eat.
"How do you like it here in my army, Ombra?"

Ombra considered her response before answering, taking a bit longer to chew her food so she had time to mull it over. "It's hard work and there are days that are longer than others. But I enjoy it because I know that we are making a difference and that the world will be a better place for it. I only wish I had joined sooner"
She was still nervous around him but she smiled a bit at the end and her face was transformed into something warmer and more approachable.
Ombra felt as though he was being very engaging on her behalf so she braved an answer she had always wondered in the back of her mind. "What will you do when you've completed your goal?" The goal being to free Shadow and receive immortality in return. And Ombra never doubted that he would in fact accomplish this - he was just too forceful and...well...him.

RabidKitten Tilki made her way through the bush, yawning dramatically behind her hand. It was late and dark and she was tired but she hadn't quite found the perfect place to sleep as of yet. She was very particular about her sleeping arrangements. She was currently in her fully human form as her tail got in the way more often than not and so she wasn't able to make use of her enhanced hearing to alert her to the mostly sleeping figures nearby. Dunya's meditation had encouraged a soft looking bush to plump out a bit and it looked just perfect to the sleepy fox. Poking it experimentally with her staff to ensure there were no other occupants first she happily crawled into the bush to sleep the rest of the night away. Her feet poked out and she snored rather loudly at times but she was too tired to let that be of any concern to her. Ombra approached Lrak's tent a bit nervously and stopped at the opening to explain to the guard she was here to find if Lrak had finished his meal so she could clear the remains away. She had bargained with the usual woman who handled such things a week's worth of laundry washing for this opportunity. She had of course seen Lrak several times since she had joined with his followers though she had never had the chance to be so close or Spirits willing gotten to actually speak to him. He was a charasmatic man and he was willing to do great things for his cause. Ombra was not just a little infatuated with him. After she was searched she waited outside while the guard stepped inside to determine what Lrak's wishes were. Dunya could feel a new presence approach them, and with the extension of the tree he was connected with he was able to deem it non-threatening, and some what familiar. He let the new comer lay, he was to tired for a confrontation anyway. tomorrow would be another day.Davian had finally reached Unda after what was possible his worse boat ride ever. "A curse on the water spirit and her..." he ran quickly to the edge of the dock and hurled, to say he was sea sick was an under statement. Davian was how ever quite comfortable in the tropical weather of this Island. "Now to find my boss's college."

"I am going to rule the world," Lrak said with easy as he ait the last of his meal. After much traveling as a young man, the idea came to him that if he united the world, shadow would be much easier to find.
"Once the world is made immortal, it will need someone strong to keep it together and explain what has happened. Who better then the person who gave it this gift?"

Ombra nodded slowly as she took this in. She was enamored of the man but even more importantly she believed in his cause. As though she had been a dog who had been whipped too many times, the first sign of acceptance and she gave her loyalty away. With a ferocity that would have shocked her mother.
"Yes Ombra began nodding as it clicked together for her, we will need your guidance even more strongly then." Here she met his eyes, feeling emboldened by her excitement for his ambition to be achieved. "I'm glad that I am here to witness your crusade My Lord" The circumstance of his birth may not have awarded him the title but Ombra felt strongly that he was so much more deserving of it than many whom it had been granted to.
After a few heartbeats Ombra came back to reality and realized that her fearless leader probably had attendants constantly apprising him of his own greatness. With a speed that would impress even the weapons master she cleared the small table and smiled somewhat nervously again to Lrak. "Thank you for dinner and conversation, I enjoyed both." Enjoyed being quite the understatement. Moving swiftly to the closed flap she hesitated and for the life of her couldn't stop the words that demanded to be let free from her mouth. "Your collar is askew My Lord." Even while she had been distracted, her fingers had been itching to adjust it during their conversation. So with an awkward curtsey she fled the tent and his presence.

Lrak, surprised, looked down at his collar and gave a smirk. She had been much more entertainment then he had hoped. He stood and took off his shirt, revealing muscled abs covered in scars. He never really thought past uniting the world. It almost sacred him to think about it; for when he did, Lrak felt a need burn inside of him. A want for something he wasn’t sure he could slate. The man pushed the thought away as he lay down on to his cot. All Lrak really wanted was to fulfill his mother’s dyeing wish. To see Shadow placed among her siblings. To give her freedom.

Selina gave a large yawn as she stretched. She glanced around her to see that the fire had died down and the sun was beginning to come up. She noticed Kristen by the tree and was surprised to find Dunya engulfed in roots. Quietly she walked up to him. He didn’t seem to notice her so she walked around him to get a better look at the thing that connected to him. She let out a gasp when she saw the girl sleeping in the bush that had grown up. She ran straight over to Kristen a shook her shoulders.
”Kristen! Kristen! Something is over there,” the little girl cried.

Kristen, a bit dazed, jumped a little as she looked at the two fet poking at it. She put a finger to her lips, signaling Selina to be hushed. Creeping over to the bush, she pushed a few of its branches away to find a girl sleeping there.
'What in the world...?' Kristen thought to herself. Not wanting to walk her, she carefully retracted the bushes a let out a small sigh. She needed sleep....Pressing a few, but not complex buttons, Kristen devised a cloak to cover their camp area that would keep out the weather and making them harder to see. And of course, keep out unwanted bugs or animals.
"Now I can rest in peace," Kristen said finally. Why hadnt she think to do so before? Not that she would've slept anyway with everything that happened. With a few more buttons, Kristen had a light-weight twin-sized matt, blanket and pillows. "If you like, you may sleep beside me Selina."
Before she knew it, she had already begun to fall asleep....

Tilki didn't even bother to wake up as the bush around her was disturbed. Growing up, she had shared a sleeping area with her 4 siblings and they were none too gentle in their sleep. As a result she had developed some very heavy sleeping habits. Hugging her staff closer to her body the young foxling rolled over and graced her company with even louder snores. Ladylike she was not. Hopefully for her come morning time the group who was still as of yet unknown to her would be in a forgiving mood.

Ombra rushed back to the mess tent to dispose of the dishes, then she was off in a hurry back to her own sleeping area. Her life wasnt one of indulgence but she had managed to make a deal with one of the driversto allow her to sleep beneath his wagon at night. The ability to stay out of the elements, was to her, quite the luxury - especially after a hard day of cleaning, cooking, etc. But as tired as her body was she couldn't get to sleep, her heart was still beating twice its normal speed and her mind kept replaying the evening's conversation over again. It was a night that Ombra was sure would be dear to her for the rest of her life.

It was a dream, or at least Kristin thought it was a dream. A woman walked in blinding light, her eyes, face and clothing were too bright for Kristin to see. Even shielding or closing her eyes did not make the brightness go away; it was engulfing, and yet not painful. The woman smiled, placing her hand gently on Kristin's arm. She felt cool to the touch, her arm seemed to tingle. The woman smiled sadly, and as the tingling sensation receded, so do the woman.
Kristin jumped up from where she lay, her arm still buzzing. 'Maybe I just slept on it wrong...?'
The others still seemed to be asleep, but the sun started to lazily crawl into the sky..

Selina hadn't seen anything to do but lay down with Kristen after she had gotten her up. She had been to afraid to wake the stranger and didn't know what to do about Dunya so watched the sky as she laid next to Kristen. The sky had seemed so bright to her, but as she lay there, Selina could clearly make out the stars still in the sky. When Kristen finally jerked from her sleep, Selina quickly sat up and turned towards her.
"Someone's over there sleeping behind Dunya," Selina said with concern and frustration as she pointed in the general dirction of Dunya.
