Doesn't seem like I'm needed here anymore.... Now that Katerina was here, Ava really wasn't needed anymore. I need to get me a more lethal weapon..... Ava thought about how easily Abigail had countered her staff. Maybe I should upgrade to a spear of some sort...... Ava shook her head slighter, switching her thoughts back to the situation at hand. She noticed Sam near the door with his neck bleeding. If you leave that cut that way, it's going to get nasty later. Ava crept towards him, careful not to be noticed by Abigail. She then proceeded to rip off a strip of fabric at the bottom of her shirt, enough to that the bottom of her scar was revealed. Wrap this around your neck for now and apply preassure to stop the bleeding. I don't have anything with me to keep it from getting infected, so that will have to do for now. Ava knew her first aid like the back of her hand. Hey, when you're traveling alone in a hostile world, a doctor isn't always an option.

Α ѣ ɨ ɡ ɐ ΐ ɫ ~~Ș ȋ ɬ ɘ ȵ ϯ ɧ ȃ ɴ ɖ As I thought I’m one of those bad things…Abigail had not really expected Retribution to hand Sam over. After all, they were all about this honor and loyalty. Things that Abigail had long lost.
Ignoring his comments, Abigail shifted her grip on Sam, Abigail felt him move, but there was nothing much that she could do as he slammed his head backwards, sending her back against the wall. Hard. Screw the morpher. This was not working, Abigail had to go on the offensive if she wanted anything done.
Blood dripped from Abigail’s cut lip, giving her an even more feral look. She had heard the archer girl’s last question, and took Sam’s interference as a way of avoiding it. These people, these Altered. They had all been saved. Abigail had been nothing more than a little girl. She had not chance. It was too late to save her now.
These thoughts were quickly dropped as Abigail sprang after Sam, who was near to the door. It was a sideways lunge, one that would throw the archer off. As it were, as Abigail passed her, she snapped a free hand out to grab the girl’s bow. She was a dangerous one. Abigail did not like ranged combat.
As Abigail continued her path, she struck out with her staff at anyone near enough to pose a threat, her free hand snapping towards Sam’s temple.…that happen to good people. [[Sorry for the late reply]]

Katerina let go of the bow as Abigail grabbed it, taking out her Sai instead. As good as she was at archery, Katerina was actually better at close ranged combat. Dodging Abigail's staff, she hit a pressure point on the inside of the arm she hadn't hit, making the arm basically dead weight. Katerina then hit another pressure point at the back of Abigail's neck. If hit the right way, Abigail would be knocked out, and Katerina would proceed to knock her down, positioning one Sai directly above Abigail's solar plexus, and the other between her eyes. ((In case it wasn't clear, Katerina hit the pressure point on the arm she hadn't hit earlier with the arrows. And I know, no dialogue! I've got something epic in store for the next post!))

(short suckish, brainfart sorry >.<) “N-not really enough time to treat-“ Sam started, panting, but stopped in mid sentence when Ava crept closer to him and tore the hem of her shirt for him. He took it somewhat gratefully and did as he was told, “It’ll do..” He whispered, nodding in thanks and smiled a bit. It instantly vanished from his features though as Abigail leapt for him, “Whoa!” The morpher yelped in surprise and ducked and rolled off to the side narrowly avoiding the on coming blow

Ava followed Sam's example and dodged. What happened next was a blur. Jesus christ nel cielo..... Ava murmered softly, crossing herself. I don't remember her being this good..... When they'd been kids, Katerina was always good at archery and fighting, but she'd never been this good. You got yourself a teacher, didn't you, la mia sorella. Ava said this with a small smile, not really speaking to anyone.

Α ѣ ɨ ɡ ɐ ΐ ɫ ~~Ș ȋ ɬ ɘ ȵ ϯ ɧ ȃ ɴ ɖ The very best, of course I’m one of those bad things…Abigail felt the bow leave the archer’s hands before she took another running leap towards Sam. There was a sharp jab in her back of her arm, but Abigail almost didn’t feel it. It had, after all, missed the intended target. With all the experimenting on Abigail, her pressure points had shifted ever so slightly, and the extra step had done its job, bringing Abigail quickly out of any danger zones.
Another quick bound sent Abigail’s blood dripping onto the floor as she missed. Her hand hit the wall but she rebounded to smash at Sam with a flying kick. At the same time, she haphazardly threw the bow with incredible force towards the staff girl.
And still Abigail found the time to grin once savagely, “Oh yes, the very best.”…that happen to good people. [[Sorry for the hold up. Hope I didn't mess up your epic next post. btw, anyone follow sentinel follow me. Please? ^^]]

Katerina swore violently when her pressure point attack didn't work. Katerina prefered not to use lethal force. Both of her parents had been devout catholics, and had passed the faith on to both of their children. Needless to say, Katerina tried to follow the commandments best as she could. Tendon cutting might work.... or I could go back to the solar plexus.... Tendon cutting would have to do for now. The solar plexus was absolutely a last resort. If Katerina hit that part of Abigail's body, it would cause her lung to be punctured. Katerina rushed Abigail, cutting the tendons in both of her ankles. Good teacher? Hmmm.... I suppose so, but my first was better. I believe that you're actually aquanted her, Miss Silenthand.

I wasn't talking to you, Signora. Ava held her staff in front of herself to block the bow. La mia sorella means my sister in Italiano. And I'm rather sure you arn't my sister. Ava said with a mischevious grin on her face. But of course, if I took out the "my sister part", it could have easily applied to youself, Signora.

XSenkoX "I didn't hang around." Vlase spoke simply without any regret in his voice. He never regretted his actions that kept him alive. The others could risk themselves for 'selfless' reasons. "I didn't catch her name or anything more than what I already told you, except that there are already several of your people there to protect the target."
"I can direct you to them, but I will not engage." Vlase spoke quietly, retreating back into his shell rapidly. He was still walking in rigid military fashion and there was a crispness to his voice, but his speech was fading back to bitterness and snippy phrases. He tugged slightly at his gloves unconsciously and rested his hand on the stock of his pistol.
~~~
Parris blinked once. He wasn't used to having people doubt what they were told about him, so this was a new one. Think fast, think fast... I don't have a family story like Indigo... Then Parris hit upon something fascinating, a sickening smile growing behind the scared expression he was showing the boy.
"I don't have a family like Indigo, so there's no one to really agree or disagree with me," He looked away like he was embarrassed, "But please, you have to trust me, I got so tired of them using my powers to hurt the captured Altered... I had to escape..." Parris reached over and touched a small, dying plant that was trying to grow through the cracks in the cement around them. A pale aura appeared around his hand and the plant began to glow as well. When he pulled his hand away, the plant had been replaced with a healthy sprout. "I can do that to people too... that's what they had me do." His eyes misted slightly and Parris looked a lot like he could bust into tears at any moment.
"You believe me, right?" Mentally, Parris was cracking up. He was now happy that he had spent time working on his bullshit routine. If the kid didn't believe him, Parris might have some trouble... but for some reason, people believed the guy that healed plants. Such strange people. Bailey nodded, taking in every detail Vlase gave, but unfortunately his information didn't give her enough to know what was going on. "Yes, bring me to this person. If they really are with the Institute than I have no other choice but to attack." She didn't wait for Vlase to follow her and instead hurried off down the hall hoping he would follow and lead her in the right direction. Her people's lives were at stake and she would not sit back and let an Institute destroy her home. And if this person was after one of the new people, than Bailey would really be pissed.
Vlase followed after Bailey, catching up quickly and directing the girl down the halls without a problem. He was fortunate enough to be able to remember the hallways after only travelling then once. Nearly a photographic memory, actually.
Vlase stopped several feet down the hall from the fight, tuning to her and stepping back slightly, "This is where I stop. You and your comrades can die for each other, I will live to finish this fight." He turned back the way he had came, quiet words accompanying his sidelong glance at her, "Do not mistake my actions for cowardice, either. We all have our reasons, mine are not fuelled by a fear for my own life."
With his delivery run complete and his disclaimer added to the end, Vlase began walking away. There was still a large portion of this place that he hadn't seen yet, which would be a problem if he needed to get anywhere fast. He headed back to the infirmary, planning on going the opposite direction of it.
Bailey had been about to verbally attack Vlase for not helping Retribution and her people, but thought better of it and kept her mouth shut. She understood where he was coming from, this wasn't his problem. She had never seen it as cowardice, but she did see him as a very cold hearted person. She mumbled a thanks for leading her to the intruder.
She was surprised someone else hadn't informed her about what was going on. There were a couple of Altered standing in the hall all after a woman with a staff and she seemed to be after Sam, one of the Altered Bailey had brought back to Retribution. She didn't need to ask if this person was with the Institute, her posture and her person said enough to let everyone around know who she was. Still out of sight, Bailey bended down and removed the knife she had retrieved earlier. She had no idea who she was about to mess with, but she figured things were about to get ugly. If this woman could turn off people's powers, than she was going to have to fight the old fashioned way.
She stepped out from her place and addressed the Institute in a loud voice. She was hoping a few of the guards would hear her and come help remove the villain. "What the hell are you doing? Leave those people alone! If you want a fight, you have to start with me."
Α ѣ ɨ ɡ ɐ ΐ ɫ ~~Ș ȋ ɬ ɘ ȵ ϯ ɧ ȃ ɴ ɖ A good fighter knows when to cut losses and move on. I’m one of those bad things…Abigail wasn't sure if her blow had hit or not. However, she had learned a little something about the archer girl. She tended to go for wounds that were not leathal, but would put a fighter out of commision. She was smart, and Abigail was wary of her.
So as it were, Abigail had just enough time to react to her lunge at the ankles. However, not fast enough. One of the blows sliced right above the tendon Abigail was sure that the archer girl tried to hit while the other hissed into air. It was enough.
Abigail had to fight to keep herself up. She would still be able to move but now she was severly crippled. This became problematic. The idea was to get in and get out, and obviously this wasn't happening anymore.
Gritting her teeth and not deigning to respond to either one of her assailants Abigail knew it was due time to make an orderly retreat, no matter how much she loathed it.
This thought process took only a few seconds by which time Abigail had already automatically reacted and slammed her staff down towards the archer girl, who had doven towards the ground to slice at Abigail's ankles.
At this point, the door was flung open, and Abigail, who was standing rather close, immediantly caught sight of none other then Bailely. What a suprise. Perhaps the idiot heads from the Institute were closer than Abigail thought they were.
Abigail was done with talking. It only brough distraction. Instead she uprooted her staff and took a heavy swing at Bailey, hoping to move her from the door.…that happen to good people. [[sorry you haven't heard from me in a while, I was waiting for a post from Kames but...no response yet. We'll see. Oh, and thanks for joining Touched!!!!!!]]
Bailey knew her powers were going to get her no where with this fight and if she wanted to get anywhere, it would mean using her senses to the best of her ability and not getting hit by her opponents weapon. Still, without a weapon of her own, other than the puny dagger in her hand, things didn't look good for her. Still, a staff was a large and large weapon and the force of it was more than enough to blow Bailey back into the hallway. She took a deep breath and looked around, trying to figure out what the hell she was going to do. There were others in that room, but with the Institute's ability to drain powers, the abilities were useless. This fight had to be a weapon fight, so Bailey had to find a weapon other than the dagger.
She looked down at the small weapon and grinned. A dagger was small, but it was still a weapon, and a sharp one at that. It would take pure luck for things to work out in her favor, but she had to trust herself. First things first, Bailey had an idea. Still standing out in the hall, Bailey threw the knife down the long hallway and watching as it fell to the ground and slid a part of the way. But before it stopped sliding on the hallway floor, it suddenly lifted up into the air and floated there. Bailey wouldn't be able to use the floating knife to her advantage within the range, but at least she had a good idea of what that range was. Yes, Bailey was affected by this Institute's power, but it only canceled out her abilities within the range. Because the knife was outside of the range, Bailey could manipulate that and other objects, but it just couldn't come within the range.
Bailey now had an idea of what she was dealing with. There weren't many Altered with this ability, but they had been heard of. Because she could manipulate the knife outside of the range, but there would be no way of getting the Institute to get out of the range ((duh)), Bailey had to focus on the idea of there being about a 30 to 35 range of the power. Of course, she had just wasted a good two minutes of fighting time on trying to figure things out, but still, information was always good when fighting an opponent. Especially an Institute one.
Bailey headed back to the doorway and reached down to her belt where she kept her two daggers and removed one. She wouldn't be able to make the knife float with her mind, but she could sure as hell throw it the old fashioned way. Bailey whipped the knife out of her hand and towards the woman with the staff's face with great speed and hoped she would at least do some damage to this woman. If not, she only had one dagger left and the entire base was at stake.
((I absolutely love the fact that Bailey just kind of does her own thing for a few minutes and throws a dagger down the hall and ponders about things while the rest of you guys are getting killed by Abigail. Isn't Bailey an amazing friend?))
Katerina gritted her teeth as Abigail's staff came down on her left shoulder. She did her best to ignore the pain, and gripped the staff firmly in her left hand. Katerina then proceeded to punch Abigail's solar plexus, a part of the breast bone that was in the middle of the ribcage. The bone was home to a gigantic nerve cluster, and if broken, could puncture a lung. Katerina had hit the bone with enough force to break it. In case you're wondering, she tried to save you. Isibeal I mean. She really did. But she had to take care of two children to, and that kind of put a damper on things. Katerina wasn't trying to make conversation, but more trying to distract Abigail. She was hoping mentioning Isibeal would bring out some sort of reaction.
