MoonMirrors xTrueBlissx The hosts are sins and the co-hosts are virtues. All of them are demi-gods. Sorry ^^; but, I meant the 'helper' co-hosts(not the secondary hosts, but the..err.. other ones ; )) oh sorry i get confused with the terminology smile They can be some sort of enchanted being yes- demons ect. I am leaving that up to the room's to decide, so based on your room's style and plot, that will be the kind of being you would be. Also I suppose the room's can have an option of having a human in them that has been keeping them updated on the human outside world if they wish

Okay. I like this plan. Then each room can be designed how they want since it's a different dimension in each one.

I still think it would be a good idea to have the same species of co-host in each of the rooms to have a stronger sense of unity between the rooms.

Half-gods and demi-gods mean the exact same thing. "Demi" is Latin for "half." I think it might be good to have the official room roleplayers as humans so they can interact more with the regular human guests on their level.
The only objection I have to the sins and virtues being demi-gods is the connection with Greek mythology. The demi-gods were always moral humans unless granted immortality by the gods. I know that the seven deadly sins has nothing to do with Greek mythology, but I can't get that out of my head after having a Greek themed ball last year.

Demi-gods were granted inmortality. Half gods were the children of gods. though the words are the same, the meanings differ a little bit.

SorceressJacklyn Demi-gods were granted inmortality. Half gods were the children of gods. though the words are the same, the meanings differ a little bit. Demi-gods and half-gods are the same thing in Greek mythology. They are the children of gods and humans. If you think back to the demi-gods in mythology like Perseus, Theseus, Heracles, Aeneas, etc, you will realize that they all had regular human life spans. There were a couple demi-gods that were granted immortality, but most of them lived moral lives. (Trust me on this. I've studied this stuff for years before I finally got my English degree.) With that in mind, having sins and virtues as demi-gods would mean that they are mortal and only have a temporary influence on Earth.

The Sins and Virtues (host and secondary host) could be lesser gods: no human blood within them, but none really hold much power on their own. They all work under Sin and Virtue. The co-hosts could be blessed and cursed mortals (humans, elves, centaurs, and other Gaian beings), who serve the Sins and Virtues. They are given immortality, regarded as a curse by some and a blessing by others, so they can remain in servitude with the Sins and Virtues until either cuts them off. The now mortals would continue life from their frozen age to old age and death.
I think that solves the "what the hell are they" problem, and it could also be used within some rooms plots as well.

Now that the co-host thing has been taken care of, what about the rooms? If each of the rooms opens to another time and place, could we still use riddles across the rooms? Or, do we need to find another way to unite the rooms and build a story?

Don't we need to keep working on the plot? sweatdrop There are still big things to discuss. People in the Sloth room are wanting to know if the doors in the tower will lead to somewhere in another part of the world or to another time or what. If the doors do lead somewhere else, then we have a huge plot point to consider. If the doors work as teleportation devices, that means that the Sins and Virtues can be found even without a special key or something by just going where they are the regular way. Sure, the Sins and Virtues still have sway over people irl, but we going to play it so that their powers are stronger or weaker than normal?
