Yue wrinkled her nose at Tao. "Suit yourself. I want to go have fun; I'll leave you to deal with our intruder." Striding out of the building like a conquering queen, she scaled the nearest tree, never once letting the gauzy fabric of her clothing get in her way. Sliding through the treetops almost entirely unnoticed, Yue made leap after impossible leap through branches that shouldn't have been able to support even her light weight, a feat made possible by the silvery light shining down on her. She loved travelling like this, and the rather long journey to the nearest village large enough to suit her purposes hardly bothered her.

Staff in hand, the glowing girl dimmed the light shining off of her so she could sneak undetected through the dark alleyways and dimly lit streets until she reached the building that brought her all this long way. Listening through the papered windows of the geisha house, she paused at one in particular when she heard the tell-tale signs of a man being "entertained". Slipping through the window unnoticed, she stepped around the perimeter of the room, soundlessly concealed in the shadows.

The man's belongings were tossed carelessly in the far corner, and Yue was just relieving him of some of the weight in his coin purse and was about to take her leave when she heard a series of dull thwacks and crude expletives coming from the couple on the other side of the room. Enraged at the senseless violence of it all, the man probably one more in a long string of brutes who beat her for some perceived sleight at his bedroom performance, a stupid excuse to let out their aggression on someone weaker than themselves. Many such houses took care of their ladies and would never allow the customers to mistreat their hostesses in such a way, but the reason that Yue chose to thieve from this particular place was she knew that pretty much anything short of murder was allowed to occur within these walls.

Predictably, no one came at the sound of the woman's screams. Gripping her staff with white knuckles, Yue thrust out the end of her weapon into the man's larynx, crushing the vocal cords before he could make a sound. A second blow knocked him off the battered woman and across the room, lying prone on his back. The terrified screams of the prostitute lying nude and bleeding on her mat were cut short in pure shock. The terrible silence of the room was barely broken by the rasping gasps of Yue's stunned victim. A deadly smile crossed her lips as she strode deliberately to his side. "So..." she began softly, her voice carrying no further than the floor at her feet, "...so you think that you can hurt her? Not so tough now I suppose." The man glared at her, his hubris not breaking even in the face of death, but he couldn't even catch enough breath to spit on her.

Yue gathered enough power from the light filtering through the open window until her unadorned wooden staff glowed with a soft light. Raising the weapon high, she struck straight downward into the man's chest. The power Yue fed into it allowed the rod to not simply bruise his ribs, but shatter through them, crushing the heart and snapping the spinal cord beneath it.

The woman shrunk back in terror as Yue turned her blood-spattered visage towards her. Reaching one hand into a hidden pocket, she pulled out a large gold coin. "I have no illusions about supposed virtue or your options from here on out, but by the gods, take this money and get the hell out of here." She tossed the golden coin, and it landed on the woman's naked stomach. "Take that and leave this place. If you travel three days north there is another house, called The Lotus Petal. A woman named Yijin is the owner, she'll take you in. At least there you won't be beaten."

Before turning for the rest of the loot from the dead man's belongings, Yue kneeled before the woman and placed her hands gently on her bruised cheeks. The woman winced in pain, but the expression eased away as a cool, silvery light flowed into her. The light quickly faded, but when it did the bruising and cuts were completely healed. Yue's power could only deal with relatively minor afflictions, but even simply this was fortunate for the young prostitute who could literally not afford to have a marred face. "You'll find your infection is gone as well," Yue commented as she turned from the astonished figure, referring to the nasty side-effect of one of the woman's more frequent liasons. "Do try to be a bit more careful in the future." Without another word, Yue exited the room and closed the window behind her, disappearing into the night.

Yue was about halfway home as the sun's rays began to rise over the horizon. She had plundered a few more sites in the village before taking her leave, but none were as noteworthy as that first one, though she did find a lovely opal ring set in silver, one find that Yue fully intended on keeping. As she neared home, Yue dropped to the ground and began a more leisurely stroll through the forest paths nearer the opera house. She struck a path to the left, one that lead to a secret freshwater lake that poured its contents down a long cliff and into the ocean below. Yue wanted nothing more than to wash the dried blood off of her skin, clothing, and hair.

About halfway to the lake Yue stopped short at the sound of another person coming towards her, but relaxed when she realized it was Kagami. "A good morning to you, Kagami-san. I trust the rising sun finds you in good health and happy of spirit?"

Yue smiled to herself. Although she didn't know the woman very well, she instinctively liked her. Even though from appearances the two women appeared to be complete opposites - Kagami's auburn hair and eyes had a distinctly warm, earthy feel to them while Yue's silvery hair and violet eyes were cast from the cool night air - but still there was a sort of quiet kindness and congeniality. She doubted she'd ever get very close to the reserved woman, but she did like to be around her.

[My apologies on the overly long post, as well as any erronious comments I may have made towards Kagami's character. I tried to stick to what was explicitly written on the bio's page. Let me know if I need to change anything in my post.]

Kagami looked up with a warm smile, her earthen colored eyes looking up at Yue as she closed the small book of poetry and folded the book into her gloved palm. The golden light made her auburn hair appear the color of a dying flame, the natural highlights glowing in the sun. Her voice was very measured and soft. "Good morning to you Yue-san. Indeed the morning light has brought good fortunes. I hope that the sun brought such well wishes to you as well although-I must admit in the most kindest intentions-it looks like you had an adventerous evening." Her smile widened a little, noting the dried blood. "Your pursuits were successful I presume?" Yue's appearance reminded her much of the subject of the poetry in the book that was clutched in her delicate hands-the serene moon. Kagami wanted to make such mention, but she didn't think it appropriate. She pursed her lips, holding back the words that had started to form in her mind.

Yue rubbed one of her blood-stained cheeks ruefully, without much effect. "Indeed, it was adventurous; however I assure you that what I did was well-deserved, for all involved. And I believe that overall the night was a success. Oh, speaking of which, I thought of you when I spotted this." She rifled in the breast-pockets of her top until she pulled out a gold choker set with a very large cats-eye jewel in the center. "I do hope it will bring you pleasure. So, what is it you're reading?" she queried, indicating the small volume the Kagami held clutched to her chest.

Kagami gave a surprised smile and slipped the book into a fold of her dress, holding and inspecting the detail of the piece of jewlery. She lifted her head to look Yue in the eye with a warm expression and whispered in admiration "Its beautiful..Thank you so much Yue-san. You shouldn't have.." She put on the collar and clasped it on with her gloved hands which dove back into the folds of her dress for her book of poetry. The cover was covered in silvery blue silk and thick in volume for its size. Kagami offered the book over to Yue to look at. "Its a book of haikus about the moon..some of which remind me of you a little as far as comparing the celestial being to a woman. You may have it." She blushed softly, bowing her head a little but looking up once again. She felt better giving Yue giving a gift in return-especially something she may appreciate.

Tao caught somthing sliding down the wall across from him and his trained eyes pin-pointed the location. He knelt down and held his arms open.
"I wont hurt you, there's nothing too valuable here so i don't think you were trying to steal from us...er...me." He sat all the way down and left he hands at his sides, taking off the intricate sleeves that held his katars and allowed him to move as if there was nothing there. Setting his 'sleeves' aside he put his hand on his knees and waited for her to move.

Yue stammered, unable to speak for a moment, but replied with a deeply respectful bow. Finally, she recovered her ability to speak, "My deepest thanks, I will treasure it. I was about to head somewhere to rectify my dismal appearance... you're welcome to join me if you'd like." The woman gestured with an opalescent hand splashed with rusty crimson down the slight path that lead towards the hidden lake. Yue knew that Kagami was very reserved, but her presence would not bother Yue while she was bathing, so she felt it was only polite to offer, even were it to be refused.

Kagami blinked as if stunned for a moment at the unexpected offer, her attention straying from Yue for a moment. She was remarkably modest for the most part unless she had drunk too much sake on holidays. She felt it'd be rude to refuse and yet she was terribly uncertain about revealing her own nakedness in front of someone else. A paradox. She folded her hands in front of her, figgeting her thumbs. Quickly she returned to her graceful decorum. "I would enjoy keeping your company. Would it bother you greatly if I only were to sit at the water's edges? Perhaps to keep bothersome unwelcomed guests away?" Kagami looked up at Yue once again, waiting for an answer, hoping she'd be honest with her.

Tomoyo silently walked through the forest, her sword slung behind her back and sheathed. Shadows whisked around her, hiding her from the sight of any passerby-not that it would be likely, so deep in the forest. Had someone really looked, they would have seen a slender girl with pale white skin, contrasting sharply with her ink black hair. She wore a simple kimono embroidered with ocean waves, which would have been normal enough if not for the rather large blood stain that covered the whole front of the garment.

"Yue-san, Kagami-chan. A pleasure to see you once again," Tomoyo said quietly as soon as she was in earshot of the two. She ignored the strange endings that she assigned to their names. It was a remmnent of something long forgotten, though certainly not missed.

Kagami looked with her earthen colored eyes from Yue to Tomoyo with a small smile. "Good morning Tomoyo-san!" Instinctively, her hands went to the pull the slipping fabric of her gloves out of nervous habit. She didn't know Tomoyo very well, her solotudinous shadowy aurua made her always curious of what was on her mind. She eyed Tomoyo's beautiful kimono, her eyes swooping along the graceful blue pattern, and then freezing upon the blood stain.

The frightened thing watched with eyes growing wider every second as the strange man came nearer and nearer to her half-cooked hiding place.
He had said that he wouldn't hurt her, but Melora wasn't so sure she could immediately trust someone who prided themself upon being a member of a group of thieves.
Her throat clenched with a silent gulp and she shifted in her spot nervously.
He... Tao? Was that the name she'd heard him being called moments ealier? Perhaps. Whomever he was, he wasn't dressed as someone would expect a friendly person to be dressed, blades everywhere, his face covered, the untamed silver hair, he actually appeared rather frightful to her.
Although, his aura said something different about him, he didn't feel angry or dangerous, but calm and a bit tired, almost.
Melora still couldn't say, it wasn't as if she knew this person very well, at all. The only thieves here she ever met were... one seemingly nice, and one who tried to kill her. Of course, she'd been asking for those attacks. But that Kuro, whatever his name was was so rough, he simply had it coming.
Melora's eyes flicked open once again. She'd been daydreaming! In such a serious situation she'd been rambling on in her mind!

Well, all in all, it didn't matter one way or the other if she wanted to show herself. It was obvious from how quickly this man had caught unto her presence that he'd find her, or, had already found her and was simply waiting for Melora to present herself.
She took a deep sigh, no long intent on being silent, and stepped out. Revealing herself from her previous hidden position nestled in between the wall and a bureau covered in knick-knacks.
"Hello." she said in a very soft voice, trying to keep her eyes to the ground, although, it wouldn't matter anyway, for Melora was far from eye level. To be frank, she was more belt level on this man.

Shinobu appeared out of the corner of the feild her sister was seated in, not far from the headquarters, but far enough to know her situation was hopeless.
She took a deep sigh, then panted for a moment beofre noticing her sister.
Shinobu went to wave to Aoki, but then she noticed the cat seated beside her sister, and her eyes grew to the size of dinnerplates.
"Eek!" she shrieked, running up to her sister and scooping up the cat. "I found you! Why did you run off! I-"

Shinobu turned her head slowly to where her sister was seated, as if half expecting an attack from the direction in which she was maulling the cat.
"Sister... I... uh... you found a cat!" she exclaimed in a fake state of shock.
"Um... ah... shiit. Uh, Aoki-chan." she placed the cat down in her sisters lap once more, its fur ruffled and all staticy[is dat a word?]. "Where did you find him?"
