He'd come to class after they came to fetch everyone apparently. He'd already been awake when they had come to do the roundup and the only thought he had was when was he supposed to know when they wanted people to be in class? Still he didn't complain or argue and listened to the lecture when he'd arrived with a small amused expression.
Get a mount? Alright. Endzela seemed less than confident about this but he was all about doing the 'impossible'. Thus when they were told to go in search he did so with a small salute to the two instructors before he meandered along poking about the brush around him. As he was particularly leaned over and peering at something there was a tug at his pant leg which startled Kettil as he looked toward the source even Endzela let out a small surprised screech.
"...Huh. That looks pretty suitable." Kettil said with amusement.
Endzela's earhorns perked up a bit, "It smells funny and seems like it'd be too small."
"....Maybe, but it looks like fun! Let's have fun, Endy." Kettil laughed a bit as he moved to rescue his pantleg from further destruction.

Lassoing the dragon was the easy task. He had been about to lasso it thanks to some practicing from yesterday's class (and after), and had the rope around the dragon's neck upon his first try. However, trying to earn the dragon's respect is a little harder. Were they going to intimidate it or...? His thought was cut short when the dragon started moving with an unnerving calm. Is he really going to try and tame this guy? Jack yes!
Baring his fangs, Clyde let out a low warning growl. His eyes baring into the dragon's, paying attention to its every movement. He took a step closer to the dragon as the poor thing took a tiny step back. It looks intimidated but was it going to respect him?

Perhaps Fallow's eyesight wasn't the best, but his hearing was. The Púca had picked up on the sound of howling faint and faraway a few minutes after leaving the tortoise behind, and his tail swished like a neon glowing lightbulb in the darkness of the greenery as he pursued it, trekking mindlessly through the undergrowth and discarding vines and leaves from himself with one giant shake here and there. Of course, by the time he'd trekked what felt like halfway across the War Clan's jungle, he was starting to believe that he had been hearing things and his ears were faulty from all of this horsemen nonsense and he'd ought just turn around and find something el --
A shadow lunged from the ferns to his right, and Fallow gave out an ear shattering howl of his own.
The wolf was large; ridable even. White and furry and looking very hungry, it stared him down with large golden eyes, its jaw hanging open to reveal sharp teeth and a pink tongue. Fallow vibrated with instinct and excitement. "Be gentle," He said to the wolf as though it would listen, "do not eat me."
Of course, it didn't.

With his eyes still on his to-be mount, Clyde scooted ever so slowly towards the dragon who was staring right back at him. It doesn't look like it's about to run away and all it was doing was just, well, stare right back at him.
"I'm not going to hurt you." the varcolac mumbled, his eyes never leaving eye contact with the small dragon. It doesn't seem to not like him at least...However, was he doing this correctly? He'll find out later on, maybe he can try to pet it and see if it'll smack him with its tail. He drew in even closer and right about now, the two were only five steps away from each other. Reaching a hand out, Clyde held it ahead of himself, waiting patiently for the dragon to take the hint.
It blinked at him once, and then twice before, slowly and cautiously, wondered over towards the outstretched hand. The dragon gave it a sniff or two before nudging it with his snout. The varcolac gave a sleepish grin as he drew closer to the dragon and gave it a nice pet on the head.
It wasn't running away. Thank Jack. Clyde's hand trailed down the dragon's neck before attempting to climb on the creature. It didn't seem happy the first time, but after a couple more patient attempts, Clyde was on the dragon's back, riding at full speed back to the class.

Finding it difficult to sleep, in fear of the upcoming class, Mei hardly slept at all. When the two horsewomen came to wake them, the doll was already up, and thankful that she didn't need sleep us much as other students required. Though, she did wish she had something calm her nerves a bit. She knew, she just knew they were going to be riding something today. Horses? Or what, she had no idea what so ever. But it terrified her. When instructed to head off to where the class was to take place, Mei left with other students who were already awake along with her.
Waiting was probably the worst part of this. When the whole class was assembled, she waited and listened as the two women began to instruct them on today's task. Well, they only confirmed what she feared. Though, she was at least thankful to discover they would not be riding any horses. But then again, was that really a good thing? What else would they be riding, and would it be safe? Not likely.
Upon being told to start searching, Mei headed off in a random direction in search of any sort of mount. It would be a lot easier if she knew just what she was to look for. Anything large enough she supposed.
Walking around for a while, she came up with nothing. Well..this was good.

They stared at each other for a long moment and the goat only let out a bleeting sound at Kettil. He wasn't sure if that was an insult to his mother or what.

Kettil tried to adopt a bigger more intimidating posture, "You will come with me, goat, if you wish to live."
Goat stared in an unimpressed manner, turned and just walked away.
...Kettil deflated. Somehow that was a harsher blow to his ego than any ghoul could manage to muster at him.
Endzela laughed at him. A lot

Thankfully, Amarus had not been sleeping very soundly. She might nap often, but she didn't particularly need a lot of sleep; it was just out of boredom that she would pass out. Instead, she'd spent the night playing with her skellyphone, wondering if it would do anything, or she would just have to stare at it. Come on, text messages. Not that she was expecting any, it would just ease the tedium. She could get up and go for a walk, but she wasn't confident she could get out of the hammock without killing someone accidentally.
The clansmen arrived shortly to break her out of her hideous tedium, at least. Just what she had been afraid of. Amarus, the day before, had been extremely apprehensive they would make them ride something. It had seemed like they would not, but... well, surprise. Now it was just a matter of what she was able to encounter. She would, as they indicated, have to go out and find a large mount. Good thing she was fairly short in the first place, so almost anything would be ride-able provided it wasn't a small mammal.
Without complaint, Amarus went off into the jungle. At least they were on solid ground; she'd never complain about any activity that allowed for that. And, lasso in hand, she searched for a creature she could tame. It turned out that she didn't need to search for it, because something had found her. A wolf, eying her with hunger. "I would not be tasty in the least," she told it. "But come closer?" Amarus tried to avoid using her lasso, but the wolf started to escape, which was when she bound it.
She tried to use the technique that the sisters had talked about, but instead of picturing Fear armour, she folded her hands into the symbol of Ko: harmony with the wolf, to become its companion and rider rather than its conqueror. She would conquer it, in a way, but not through violence: merely enough Fear around her to make it understand that she was not edible, but rather a valid opponent.
What next?

With a deep sigh and a glare at Endzela upon his shoulder he went about his search again. It seemed the fates really wanted him on a goat because after a little bit of searching a new goat was chewing on the tail end of his shirt in a manner that suggested a carefree attitude.
...This Goat would be different...?

Freeing his shirt from the maul of the goat he dusted it off and offered it a happy grin, "Hey, buddy~. Wanna help a boil out? My last goat left me in the dust and I kind of need a--,"
There was an interrupting bleet and another attempt for his top.

Huffing, Mei turned to head off in another direction. This class was going to be harder than she had thought, if she couldn't even locate a mount to tame. And even if she did locate one, would be even manage to tame it? She had no idea what all lurked in this jungle--nor did she want to find out..but she would.
Weaving around some jungle brush, her foot caught on something, sending her flailing towards the ground. Landing less graceful than she had hoped, she groaned and rubbed her side before looking for the culprit that had tripped her. Her guess would have been she had tripped over a vine or something, but nope. She found her ride! "Helloooo~"

Of course, Mai was one of the students that was flipped bodily out of their bed. She stared up at the horsemen from her spot on the ground as they made their rounds, waking the other students from their slumber. She could only blink in surprise, there was really very little higher brain activity going on for Mai at that moment. Goodness, what time was it anyway. She couldn't have been asleep for more than 9 hours. This was just heartless!
Despite her lack of rest, the ghost managed to pull herself together enough to float lethargically to class. They were to be catching mounts today? Well.. alright, that seemed interesting enough to warrant an early wake up. But just barely. When is was time to go out into the jungle, Mai was ready. She'd remembered to bring her lasso from the day before and she held it tightly as she embarked.
To her surprise, she found a mount almost right away. She had been about to climb up atop a boulder to get a better view of the surroundings when she realized this boulder was actually a good-sized dragon. It eyed her, expressionless and waiting.
Mai thought for a moment, but decided this one just didn't feel right. She moved on.

Her hands still folded in Ko, she waited. And watched.
That was all it took, for the first step. The wolf lay still, and watched her with its feral eyes, the hunger fading only briefly. It looked fever-bright, however: it was watching her, wasn't it? Waiting to see what would happen, and waiting to see what kind of an opponent she could be. If she could tame it, or walk away a failure.
Amarus approached the wolf, her bells ringing gently, her hands still folded into Ko.
