Wistaria couldn't contain a purr of her own at her mate's affections, head tilting ever-so-slightly to a side in response to his nuzzle. She leaned up to lick his cheek, heart pounding in her chest.
Much as she doubted he would react negatively, she did have to wonder just how he could cope with the news. "My love..." With a deep breath, the lioness tilted her muzzle upwards. Her voice came out at a near whisper, soft and sweet as could be, "You're going to be a father."
Tengai finally clambered into the tree after Sano, slipping onto the branch next lowest to his friend's. He felt his own muscles go tense as she prepared to spring, eyeing the female she'd chosen.
... a female. Was that gazelle a mother too...?
The cub shook the thought from his head as best he could, growling softly to himself. No. This was different. The gazelle was wounded; this was life, not murder. He couldn't afford to allow himself to start thinking it was anything but.

((Just a note, I didn't actually kill off Fayola, its Kall discovering another lioness and making a mistake.. She's only "dead" until DB Rps her.. Its just a plot twist for the Kall/ Rakastaa and Ini issue..
Please no one be mad at me.. ))

Ferrian nuzzled her again, smiling as she licked his cheek. He felt he couldn't ever love anything more than he loved his mate, and was about to tell her so, when she gave him the news.
"Father?" He echoed, eyes going wide as he leaned back to look into her gaze. "I'm a... father?"
Joy burst through him and he roared it across the Pride Lands, prancing around her like he was a cub, mane floating in the wind. "Beloved this is most wonderful news! Would you be well enough for a celebration?"
Somewhere in the mountains, Kallivenion heard his son's roar of Pride. A family. Ferrian was acting king of Cyan Serenity, and his mate was about to give him a family. The thoughts brought back Kall's memories, memories of first meeting Fayola, their cubs... He bowed his head and sank deeper into the darkness of the mountain, the bleakness of his own broken heart and dark spirit..
Settled in her retreat, the sister of the new king was deep in meditation. A storm not long ago had caught a tree on fire, and Dash had managed to salvage a branch as it still burned. The wood burned curiously slow, so she had stocked much of it, as well as the different herbs she threw into the fire. A single stick of the wood, settled with a few other branches, would burn for days. Comming out of her meditation, Dashira roared in joy, dashing out of her Shaman's Retreat and covering its entrance quickly. That taken care of, she ran as fast as she could toward the plateau, eager to congratulate her brother.

Fayola's emerald figure appeared at the borders, she had been gone so long. Her journey wasn't supposed to take her that long but while she was out she had met a lion and his cub, Aken...they were venturing out and while in the oasis' a storm had struck and lasted for a few moons, she was just getting back now and excited as ever to see her family and whomever else had roamed or new. She roared, announcing her prescence again...reunion. Her tone soft and melodic it seemed.

Sano's ears perked up, eyes darting to the outskirts of the lands. He poked his head out of the tree, and saw, in the distance, a spot of green.
what the...?
"hey Tengai...do...do you see that spot of green out there?"
he asked, pointing in the direction of the roar. " i'm going to go get Ferrian..." jumping out of the tree, he ran over to the pool.
is that...Fayola?

Fayola looked out and seen someone she hadn't met before...was she in the wrong lands. Surely, not she had remember the landscapes where she had first entered...She stopped and called wondering if this lion would answer her this time. Her ears flattened upon her head, wouldn't Kall be welcoming her back as well. Did something happen while she was away? It was as if she had vanished off the Earth in her own lands...well she kind of had for that short ammount of time.

The magenta was about to spring when she heard the roar. The gazelles' heads shot up and immediately sensing danger. They suddenly sprang away, eyes wild with fear. Cursing, the lioness sprung from her hiding spot trying to chase the wounded female. She seemed to be surrounded by her herdmates making it harder to catch. Leanna did not want to give up this chase, however. She tried with all her might to catch up, muscles burning. At a risky attempt, she leapt, on any of the gazelles. Ones back hoof caught her jaw. She whined in pain falling back as the rest of the herd went away. Leanna laid there for a while, her body slightly sore. Getting up, she wiggled her jaw gently seeing if it would still work. Sighing, she turned to face where the roar had come from. Curious, Leanna began to trot to the boarders.

Sano trotted up to the king's pool, to talk to Ferrian.
"Ferrian, Lady Wistaria, i'm sorry to intrude, but i do beleve we have a visitor..." he said, his regal tone returning. "and she seems like she knows the lands very well." he nodded, turning. Pointing with his paw, he spoke again.
"she's out that way..." i...i think its....Fayola.... Sano shook his head. Impossable, she dead...Kall said so....

Ferrian, too absorbed in his mate and her news, had missed the first call. But at Sano's appearance, and the lioness's second roar, his head shot up. Pinning his ears, he glanced at the border, not willing to believe his ears.
"Sano, stay with my Lady, guard her." He said to the cub, and placed a paw on the lad's head for a moment. With a final lick to Wistaria's cheek, he sprang away to the border, still not sure what to believe.
Kall lifted his head, still hidden deep within the mountain. The faintest echo of a roar rolled to his ears, but he dismissed it as a mere dream, a wish. Fayola could not have returned... He bowed his head and wept for his true love, and slowly fell into a fitful doze.

Sano gave a nod, proud to know that Ferrian had trusted him to protect Wistaria, and he'd be dead before he'd fail him.Watching Ferrian bound of, he turned to Wistaria and grinned.
"so we're going to have new little ones roaming round eh?"

When no one, returned and others just scampered off it irked her as well as frightened. She padded through to where she had seen the unknown Sano go. Her ears flickered as she knew her prescence and scent should be known soon. She had lost sight of the male and looked around...it might be dangerous to call out...especially if another pride had taken over, it could be an ambush. She denied that fact and called again. As her head turned she had had managed to see a familiar face. "Ferrian!" her eyes widened gladly. Her tail flickered happily as she went to him.

Leanna came upon Ferrian and the strange green lioness. Her tail twitched gently, but the hunt mistress kept her distance. Her eyes stared at the other, ears flicking. Slowly, she came closer, eyes wary, body taut. The lioness gently pawed at the ground wondering who this 'stranger' was.

Wistaria watched as her mate bounded off, overjoyed at his enthusiam... but worried by the way his ears had pinned at the strange call. Who was it that had called...?
She turned to smile at Sano, teal eyes sparkling happily. "Soon, yes. Can I trust you'll help keep them out of trouble, young Sir Sano?, " she said, a playful edge to her voice.
Tengai crept after Leanna, though more slowly. It was almost a labor to move at all. His heart was pounding, trying its hardest to find the balance between joy and fear. Had he really been right all along? Just a bad dream, just a nightmare, not real...
But what if it wasn't? He honestly wasn't sure if he could take it. It would be the straw that broke that camel's back, without question.
When he was near enough to see the truth for himself, it was almost as though time itself had stopped with a painful jolt in his chest. He hovered at a distance from his mother, brown eyes wide and unbelieving. Tears quickly welled up in them. "... Mom... ?, " he said softly, voice cracking. Was it really her?

Sano grinned and nodded.
"of course, Lady Wistaria." turning in the direction that Ferrian raced off in Sano growled. "I wonder who she was...."

Fayola looked to her son whom had tears in his eyes, "Well of course its me," she went over to him and nuzzled him as she always had. "I missed you," she looked at him sincerely, something was off. She licked his fore and then sat upon her haunches, "What's wrong? And what's going on?" she looked to where Ferrian seemed stunted and a lioness beside Tengai.
