Done. :3
Aaj3g, I love how pastelly-colored that picture is. It's insanely cute-pretty. heart
I think that'd make a really stylish piece of vector art, especially with your lipgloss looking like that.

Yeah, I like vector traces too. I wish I were better at them.

If you have a good editing program they're really not too hard. It's just creative tracing and coloring.
You just need to know how to use layers effectively, which really takes maybe an hour to learn on a good program. And color blending, but again, that only takes a little while to learn how to do.
The only problem I have is that I use my mouse, since I lack a tablet of any kind. It still works, but the lines are a little shakey.

Really? All you have to do is trace and color? gonk
I always assumed it was mathematical and done by layering different shapes on one another, which I definitely do not know how to do.

Maybe there are people who do it that way, but it's more just a deliberate coloring method.
Take a picture, create a layer over it. Outline the picture (Basic shapes, curves, anything you want to stand out).
There are some decent tutorials on it if you google for it.

Crimson_And_Clover, I know someone who looks a lot like you. By any happenstance do you live in Iowa?
Urby and Sirius, you're just as gorgeous as ever.

Alright so I finally went out and got a memory card for my camera, and I just went picture crazy with it today, and then thought what better people to share some of them with than those in this lovely guild a b c(me)I took alot more pictures, but don't feel like sorting through them all right now.

BZZTWRONG re: VECTORS you are kind of describing what vector art winds up LOOKING like while in reality, vector art is art made up in a program such as Illustrator, although photoshop does have the ability to make vectors as well, where instead of recording the image as pixels, the image is recorded as a sort of "program" or mathematical equasion (although that affects the program in which you are making the vector, you don't really need to know how to interpret that to make vectors). a real vector image can be infinity enlarged (or shrunk) without losing quality. so instead of a hugely enlarged picture looking pixelly, it still looks smooth. vector art is done using the Pen tool, instead of the usual Paintbrush tool, where you click and drag to create smooth lines and then you can set strokes and fills and gradients and stuff THIS LESSON HAS BEEN BROUGHT TO YOU BY COLLEGE SEE, MOM? I DID LEARN SOMETHING. edit: and dictionary.com SAYS Quote: vector graphics (Sometimes called "object-oriented" graphics, though it's nothing to do with object-oriented programming). The representation of separate shapes such as lines, polygons and text, and groups of such objects, as opposed to bitmaps. The advantage of vector graphics ("drawing") programs over bitmap ("paint") editors is that multiple overlapping elements can be manipulated independently without using differenet layers for each one. It is also easier to render an object at different sizes and to transform it in other ways without worrying about image resolution and pixels.
