Chaos sliced and hit the blade against the air stopping his movement. Some of his sweat flung off and into the air as he stood there. He was breathing heavily and didn't move. He finally spoke. "Leave or I'll kill you Lotus..." He dropped the blade now going to wipe the sweat from his forehead and such. The blade he had been holding embedded itself deep into the earth and he slowly turned around. No kindness was in his eyes. He was deadly serious. Something was far different about him since the last time she had seen him. His eyes were now fully gold and not changing back...he was not the chaos she had known only a few days before. "Oh and your memorization of my moves matters little any longer Lotus...it matters very little if I'll never teach you or deal with you...I have one fight left in my life...I must defeat my opponent to prove to myself my strength...Now leave or I will kill you now...you have no business in this town...these people will teach you nothing and dislike outsiders who happen their way in...leave Lotus...your father wouldn't want you to die for a worthless reason as to pursue his hitokiri just to try and learn his techniques to eventually and hopefully kill him...Lotus you're hardly a few years younger than me...so I tell you again...leave or I will kill you...your business with me is meaningless if you are dead." He picked the weapon back up as if it was a normal blade and put it on his shoulder before walking out the room past her to go work on making blades. He didn't care for her well-being any longer...he would not let her interrupt his training...neither would the rest of the town...

Lotus moved in front of him, absolutely livid, "YOu listen to me, Chaos, I was not interrupting anythign, you're the one rudely interrupted my life so you could "prove yourself" Now I have no family and nowhere to turn. I have a right to be in your precence because you're the only connection I have with my late father so that makes you my older brother by adoption. Besides, death is better than being lonely and angry, I have no idea what to do with myself, pompous murderous b*****d, I have no idea. My only purpose is to either be by your side or trailign behind. I'm not leaving and you can try to kill me if you want to but I won't let you do that either because if I can't have a life with my father, you cannot have a life without me!" She had successfully said this without yellign at him thougth she wanted to pound on his chest until she had run out of energy but she had not been able to stop the angry tears streaming down her cheeks.

Chaos' hand moved quickly and laid itself across her cheek flinging it to the side leaving a red mark on it. Chaos' eyes stared at her piercing her mind. He spoke calmly with a slight bit of disgust in his voice. "A foolish girl who has not found herself has no reason to be in my care...I never proved myself by killing your father...I killed him from an order and feel no remorse for it...If you'll stop this pity trip you're on maybe you'll see your father is in you...maybe you'll see he's always been with you because he never left...And death will never be better than a life lived to the fullest...if you give up your life you give up the only thing you have going for you...I tell you now...if you are going to follow me I will not except this behavior...I will not live with your acting of pity because I killed your father...that is the past and it is no more...I will not accept your pitiful excuse for power...if you wish to be my pupil you will have to be better than this...you will have to show me a reason why I should even consider you good enough to be near me much less train under me...You're a foolish girl who has nothing because she sees nothing...Stay here until you damn well calm down and when I return you can talk with me when there is more sense in your head than pity and tears..." He moved around her and out the door before she could stop him. He would return since that was his home for the moment. He walked to the smithy's and began work taking off his shirt and putting on an apron to begin the fire charmer's job.

((*whisper* MOD!))
For a second she was stunned adn felt her cheek, she listened to what he had to say and ever so slowly her anger filled her like a glass, PITY?! That b*****d thinks I pity him!? She didnt' turn or follow when he left her she stood there boiling in her idignant rage, He wasn't even listening...She paced furiously, too angry to know what to do with herself, she really wanted to destroy something but instead she sat on the floor and closed her eyes and took a deep breath. She fought with her fury and wrestled it down into a little box in her mind and closed it. She took another breath, stood up and, drew her sword, "Weighted." She felt her sword become heavier than it usually was. She went through her excercises slowly, with the sword, it was a bit heaviar then last time she weight trained so she was winded a bit sooner but she completed three sequences then did her cooling down excercices. As she did this, the rage stopped fighting in the box she had put it in so now it rested inside like a deadly present just waiting to be opened. As she cooled down, she was muttering, "I wasn't trying to say I wanted to be a disciple of yours..." she cursed a bit, "You weren't listening, you never listen, never, ever, ever..." She continuted muttering to herself.

Chaos worked through the rest of the day making more and more swords always finding flaws in his work that others couldn't see except one...one that stood in the back and watched with a smile on his face. The other smiths and such couldn't understand why Chaos was so hating of his work...but this one in the back understood. He approached Chaos slowly and tapped his shoulder. Chaos turned having left the furnace and nodded. "Hai?" The older man smiled and bowed his head slowly. "I saw your work...and the flaws that lay in it...I would like to help you...will you accept young one?" Chaos looked into the wise eyes of this old man and bowed his head in respect...if you will take me..." The old man takes Chaos to the furnace and they work until daybreak. The hammer can be heard throughout the village his eyes focused as the old man councils him. Chaos works long and hard making more blades than he had made in the past few days. He worked long and hard tanning from the light of the fire and the ash and heat. He finally finished a pair of twins that shined with the silver light given to them. He smiled for the first time in a very very long time. He looked at the old man but he was gone. He looked around and sighed finishing up with the handles making them as perfect as the blades. Fulled and prepared to fight. He put the blades on each side of his body and walked putting his yukata back on as the sun slowly rose. He put the original Masamune on his back and stopped at his door looking in at Lotus. He stared at her for a long time. "If you're coming let us go...time is precious now and must not be wasted...if you don't keep up I will hold no remorse for you...understand?...good let's go" He turned moving from the doorway...if she followed fine...if not fine as well...
The old man watched them leave and smiled as he stretched a little bit. A young man walked up and yawned as he looked down at the old man and then out at Chaos. "Grandfather...why did you help him?" The old man smiled up at his grandchild. "Because he needed help my child...he needed guidance to overcome the challenges in his life...and now he can." The young boy nodded and turned walking back to the house slowly. "Whatever you say Grandfather Masamune" The old man smiled as he watched Chaos leave their town and turned walking himself into the house to rest...that boy had made the blade that not even he himself could...he had dubbed it Muchitsujo for the disorder, confusion, and chaos that was imbedded into it. The perfect weapon for a man like that...and he would be the only one to wield such a weapon...The only one whose life was the definition of the twin swords name...He bowed slightly when he got to the doorframe back to the man named Chaos...it would be a long journey for him to finish his life...a long time indeed...

After a long silence one man finally stood up in the room.
"For real? How can I trust you won't just run away like you did the last time? And what if I don't even want you anymore? I have a lot stronger men now. So strong that not a single woman can ever get as good." He laughed loudly... and so did the rest of the room, but the others didn't really sound like they thought what he said was funny. Nervously the laughter died out, even the first so brave man became silent. Now everyone were waiting to see how Yumi would react.
Yumi didn't react in any way. Her cold eyes just looked straight through the man.
"Oh? Then I'll ask who these men are... I assume you're one of these?" She didn't even wait for an answer, the next second a dagger was held to his throath.
"..." Pearls of sweat appeared on the mans forehead.
"We'll I guess this proves I haven't lost my touch just yet." Yumi hid the dagger in her clothes once again. Still ignoring everyones stares, she walked over to the spot the man had been sitting and sat down. Without saying a word, he moved over to a more uncomfortable place to sit.
Yumi sitting down broke the ice, everyone welcomed her and those who still remembered her exchanged a few words.

Chaos left the village and headed to a boat and used it to sail back across to the mainland. Whether or not Lotus was with him was of little to no concern of his. He left the boat and headed through the countryside toward the spot he had told Yumi. Two days... was what he was thinking. He sighed slightly his face never changing. He would rest and then be ready to fight with her. He breathed slowly as he approached the open field. He sat down under a Sakura and closed his eyes. He was preparing his mind and body. Rest is a weapon... He sighed knowing his master had told him that and nodded. "I trust what you say master..." He wasn't asleep, but he wasn't awake. He needed the rest but would not lose himself in it. That was another thing his master had taught him. To always be on ready. Even when you're not...

During the evening Yumi managed to gain everyone's trust once more. She was even given some missions, missions Yumi was very pleased with. As soon as she opened the first envelope she realized she had somehow moved up in rank, these missions were at least twice as hard as the ones she was so used to... the missions she found boring and mostly had no problem completing. Before leaving Yumi wrote a small note to a low rank member.
The low rank member walked over the fields towards the spot Yumi had told him to go to. She hadn't given him much information, but he trusted in her and he still had a lot of alcohol in his blood. Without thinking more about what was expecting him, he walked over the fields. There, though a still a bit blurry, the boy could see a man... no two?... one? He continued walking. Good, now I won't have to wait. He walked up to Chaos.
"Mornin'... no wait... evenin? I have a small note from Nakashima-san." He somehow managed to get the note from his pocket.
"Hmm... let's see... she isn't interested in fighting you, since she sees no reason in it. Right now she's got other matters on her mind..." He stops...
"Sounds like she's planning something... hahahaaa... poor looser, did you really think she'd care about fighting you... hhaahhha." He stopped and his eyes widened, horrified he put his hand over his mouth.
((Yumi never intended to fight Chaos... maybe another time? Sorry... I just find it too soon to have such a "final" battle...))

Lotus was cleaning her weapon when she felt the most odd sensation in her chest. It soon turned to pain, and she clutched her chest and looked up suddenly. Some type of string shot out of her chest, it was pink like sakura blossoms and it went thorugh the wall. An image of Chaos sittign under a Sakura tree surfaced as if she were looking into the surface of water. The string went to him. She didn't know if he felt anythign but she did it hurt like the 6 shades of hell. Then she heard...no felt a second heart beat, slower than her, relaxed. Lotus woke up with a start, she had drifted off to sleep sitting against the wall of the room. She had not dared enter any other room, this wasn't her house. She listened. Silence Then she heard it, lub, dub. She stiffened, the slower heartbeat was in her head. She blocked it out and it quieted significantly, "What the heck is wrong with me?" She stood a bit shakily. Her sword told her that Chaos was no longer in town but what scared her was that she already knew he was.

Chaos opened his eyes slowly and rose looking at the boy. His hand moved out as the boy stared at him with wide eyes. He lifted him up off the ground and squeezed his neck slowly. "Then I have no choice but to make her...I will not stop until I fight her once more...you will live boy...but without the use of a way to speak...it will get you in trouble only anyways. The boy would try to struggle but Chaos threw him down with his hand still over his throat and into the ground. He knocked him unconscious with that hit and then opened his mouth and cut the tongue out with two simple cuts making sure he wouldn't bleed to death as the boy woke up screaming...well moaning and humming. Chaos tossed him from him and looked at him with cold golden eyes that pierced his eyes. "Go to Yumi...tell her I will not rest till I have fought with her again...Our fight was never finished..." He looked at the boy as he winced running and holding his nonexistant tongue to go back to Yumi and try and deliver the message. He would eventually find something to write on and with. He would deliver the message along with himself tongueless. Chaos stretched slowly and spoke softly out into the darkening night. "You wish to run then?...I shall become your nemesis Yumi-san...I shall fight you again and finish our battle." He slowly began walking from the Sakura and then stopped looking out to where he had been...the unseen island. They would be asking her to leave soon...they would not teach her and wouldn't allow her to be there...He sighed slightly and shook his head and began to walk...he would follow her trail. He may not be the 'good guy' or the 'bad guy' but he was the hunter of Yumi...he had become her nemesis even if she didn't think it. He would protect when he found out things. He would stop her when he could. He didn't care who it was against or why...he wanted her to see he would not stop.
((Who said it would be a 'final' battle wink and I myself wasn't fully expecting her too anyways))

She felt the heartbeat quicken just a smidge and she hurried even faster. Her own heart was racing like a scared rabbits adn her breath came ragged. Once again she saw the sakura trees. An image hit her, a little boy, in pain. She flinced and bit back a cry of astonishment and put on an extra spurt of speed, cresting the small hill. She saw him in the distance and another figure, smaller...

Chaos walked slowly from the sakura trees sensing something behind him and turned looking back seeing someone on the ridge. He stared knowing who it was. He motioned his head in a motion for her to follow him and turned to begin walking again slowly.

Chaos walked slowly keeping his straw hat down as he thought. The boy had run a nice sized distance...and he was still running from the looks of it...Osaka?...no too far. He would find him soon then. He looked ahead his hands resting on the blade crosshilts at his sides. He breathed slowly and without sound. His heartbeat was inaudible but still beating. He would find Yumi...he would find her and thwart her efforts as often as he could...this would his choice now...his only one it seemed.
