Bana sat up in the bed and looked over at Irene. Bana dug through her pockets for the items that Mariah gave her. Bana pulled her hands out with 4 items in them. Niko's Necklace, the candy Irene bought, Mariah's charm, and the fake necklace.
Bana looked up at the sleeping Irene. 'What if I’m wrong? There’s just as much evidence against Mariah as Irene...and my mommy was evil and she would never have wanted her powers to be sealed....' Bana shoved the charm and Niko’s necklace into a pocket. Bana took the candy and chanted a small spell causing the candy to melt and take the shape of the necklace then harden. 'Miss Irene has been nice to me, and even if it was fake...its more than most people do. I'll figure out later how to get mister Niko from her. Mister Niko and Miss Yuki are strong, they wont let Miss Irene kill them easily'
Bana put the fake necklace in her pocket got off the bed and walked over to Irene. 'Irene will get candy, Mariah will go with what she started with, and I'll keep Irene’s real necklace. It always looked really pretty' Bana quickly switched Irene’s necklace for the candy necklace and ran.
When Bana finally got to the forest she stopped running and caught her breath for a second as looked back at where she came from then down at Irene’s necklace and tucked it in her pocket, then turned around and started running again. 'I have to get farther away. There’s no telling how long my spell on the candy will hold. I never was as good as mommy with this stuff.’

Yuki walked through the forest, humming softly. She knelt beside every plant she saw, checking for healing properties and plants she had never seen before. Before long she had a whole gathering of herbs in her arms. With a content sigh she stood up finally, starting back to the deserted village. She paused when she heard something running through the forest nearby. Frowning, she went over and saw the end of Bana's tail vanishing around a corner. "Huh? Bana?" She called the childs name, wondering whether it was her or some strange racoon.

Bana paused when she heard her name. 'That sounded like miss yuki. No I cant let them find me just yet. They wont understand. They still trust Miss Irene.' Bana took off faster into the woods. 'If there going to hate me its better to avoid it till later...'

Irene groaned and yawned. Slowly, she opened her eyes to see the ld man on the bed Bana was sleeping at. "Where's Bana?" Irene said suddenly alert. The seat under her suddenly turned to ashes and Irene fell to the floor. "Ow! What's going-" Irene felt water below her, and a small bolt of lightning escaped her body and went for the old man, who simply tilted his head to avoid it. Irene regained her powers, which was hard because she was fully charged. It wasn't out of control however, because the necklace still existed and stayed a connection to her so long as it wasn't destroyed. Irene looked down to her necklace. "What's wrong with the necklace?"
The old man shook his head. "Irene, that's not your necklace. It's a fake. As for the whereabouts of Bana or your necklace is uncertain." Irene gasped. "Oh no, someone must have taken my necklace while I slept and kidnapped Bana!" Irene's fear made her powers cease. Irene at one point tried to make them work, but her fear paralyzed her power. Irene shook her head and walked out of the room. "Irene my child, where are you going? Something evil is going to happen, I feel it! It's safer for you to stay here." Irene stopped for a second. "I can't Merlin, Bana may need my help. I think I know who took her, so I'm going to pay a visit to an old friend. Tell Niko and Yuki that I'll be back soon WITH Bana."
The old man stood up quickly. "Irene... I've done something terrible." Irene shook her head. "Nonsence, nothing you could have possibly done coud possibly change what I think about you. You're like a grandfather to me. Now I'm sorry but I have to go." Irene ran off before he could protest. Merlin sat back down and spoke to himself. "Irene, You don't understand... I'm the one who ruined your life." Irene ran out of the door and into the woods.

Yuki heard the pattering of feet quicken; whoever it was had sped up. Confused and slightly curious, she abandoned her search for herbs to follow the footsteps. If it was Bana, then Yuki wanted to know why she was out here when she was supposed to be asleep. Something just wasn't right.
Niko looked up as Irene ran past. "...?" Since Bana had taken a different route, he hadn't seen her. Before he could call her name, she was already gone. He glanced back at the old mans house, then stood up and followed Irene into the forest, staying a distance behind.

Mariah's charm indicated Bana was on the move. "Excellent..." Mariah ran off to find a pace where Bana would run into her. She found the perfect spot at a clearing. She sat on a fallen tree stump and summoned a cry.

Irene continued to run, but saw noone. Her heart skipped a beat, and a fireball escaped her hand. It was small, but it hit her in the side where her arm rested. "Aah!" Irene bent to where she kneeled and held her side. Her power escaped once more. Irene breathed a few heavy breaths. "I gotta find Bana. I don't care if my necklace is in the hands of Mariah right now... I just have to find Bana and make sure SHE's all right." Irene got up and started running again, holding to her side. There was no blood or any injury, while she was doubled over she managed to heal herself. But there was a hole on her outfit exposing her side.

Bana stopped running when came to the clearing. Bana heard someone crying and quickly spotted Mariah. 'I guess i should give her the necklace now..' Bana reached into her pockets and grabbed the fake necklace and walked up to Mariah. "Heres your necklace Miss" Bana said as held out the fake necklace to Mariah and looked at ground still fully catching her breath.

Mariah looked up and saw the necklace. Being sure to keep the charade, she took it slowly. "She didn't hurt you did she? I would feel awful if she did."

"No, Miss Irene is probably still sleeping." Bana looked up at Mariah. "I switched Miss Irenes necklace with a fake just like you asked me to. Then I took Miss Irenes necklace and left just like you asked. Then I found you and gave you a nacklace, its all yours." Bana told Mariah wording her sentances so they were true.

Irene heard a voice somewhere nearby. "Bana?" She heard what Bana said, but didn't see her yet. "No, that can't be Bana... She would never..." Irene felt betrayal in her heart, but felt like there had to be a logical explanation. Irene never gave Bana any doubt... Did she? Irene spotted them and stayed in a clearing to find out what else she needed to know.

Mariah had the necklace clutched tighty in her hand. She felt no need to read Bana's mind, because in her hand was the proof that Bana really believed her. "Wonderful! Now Irene will first lose control of her power, and become weaker until her powers are no more!" Mariah motioned something behind her. "Thank you Bana." She said sounding less friendly.
"Now the only person that could ever stand in my way is powerless." The bandit that attacked Bana before put his hands on her shoulders to keep her from running. He was no aware this girl was more than she seemed. "And you Bana can rule at my side if you wish. I am truly, very proud of you. I will get you anything your heart desires, anything at all, and when I'm dead and gone the bandits will be under your rule. What do you say?"

Bana was surprised by the bandit showing up again. Then quickly realised that he was with Mariah "YOU LIED TO ME! YOU SAID MISS IRENE WAS THE BAD ONE!" Bana yelled at Mariah out of frustration then reached down and grabbed her braclet as it glowed. "You said Miss Irene was going to harm Mister Niko, you lied..." Bana was glaring at Mariah now.

Irene dashed out when she saw the bandit and realised Bana was in trouble. "Leave Bana alone Mariah!" The wind around Irene swirled and sort of whipped her. Irene fell to the ground in pain. Again, her clothes cut but this time she hurt herself internally.
Luckily, there were only a few bruises. Keeping her powers inside was harder now that she was angry, but in her mind she believed that this was the work of her powers dissappearing. She shook her head and slowly stood back up. "Bana, run! I-I can hold her off for a while. Yuki, Niko, and the old man can keep you safe until I come back!" Irene took another step, but she was trying so hard to keep her power from getting out of control it was hard to move.
