She placed her hoof over his heart, "We will not let that happen."

"Of course not. My heart could be in no safer hooves than yours, my love." Sinthos sighed, his body feeling heavy again. "I think we should sit down."  

[Angelique DelaMort]

"I think we should rest," she moved to support him.  

[sunchaser9000]

"I believe that is a good idea, much as I do not wish to admit it." Sinthos slowly teetered toward the couch, "Actually...the kitchen would be better...I should eat something and take in some fluids."  

[Angelique DelaMort]

"Right...I am so sorry, I continue to forget you do not manage energy as I do..."

He shook his head, "You do not need to remember such things. I should be able to manage my energy consumption on my own." He poured a glass of water and rummaged though some cabinets, finding a bag of dried pears. "Would you care to sit with me while I eat?"  

[Angelique DelaMort]

"I would not leave you in this condition," she said staying by his side.

"You could. It is not as if I have never been in this condition before. And those times I was not fortunate enough to have anyone else to share company with." He picked up a slice of pear and nibbled on it. "I could do so again without too much trouble."  

[Angelique DelaMort]

"But I would not want you to."  

[sunchaser9000]

"How did I find you?" He smiled and ate another dried pear slice. "I am quite sure that I was not looking for you."  

[Angelique DelaMort]

She shrugged, "Sometimes these things happen..."  

[sunchaser9000]

Sinthos nodded, "I believe they do. You seem sad, Firebolt. Is there anything that I can do?"  

[Angelique DelaMort]

"You can take better care of yourself," she said. "I still worry for you."  

[sunchaser9000]

"I will do my best." He had finished off the pears and moved to drink the rest of his water. "Are you ready to work on your chamber some more?"  

[Angelique DelaMort]

"I don't believe you have rested nearly enough, my love."
