He shook his head, "You do not need to remember such things. I should be able to manage my energy consumption on my own." He poured a glass of water and rummaged though some cabinets, finding a bag of dried pears. "Would you care to sit with me while I eat?"

"You could. It is not as if I have never been in this condition before. And those times I was not fortunate enough to have anyone else to share company with." He picked up a slice of pear and nibbled on it. "I could do so again without too much trouble."
