Saterth watched Lintana also wondering why she didn't want to be with her mate...
"I am or I'm going to be infected with what ever this thing is. I don't want anyone in this weyr getting it! Especially you, J'rel! I can't stand loosing you again!" Lintana was in hysterics, tears ran down her cheeks as she scooted farther back against the wall.

"What are you talking about?" He didn't stop forward because he knew she'd only freak out more. "I;m not about to loose you either, and if you think for a second that you're going to be miss hero that saves the day by sacrificing herself, forget it. Just calm down and let's talk this out like civilized people ok?"

Lintana glared at J'rel, she couldn't see how she could make him understand. "Perth showed...not our Perth, but an older Perth showed me..."Lintana explained to J'rel what Perth had shown her. As she finished she broke down in tears again and realized her own fear of Perths memories, "J'rel, I don't think I'm going to survive this!"

"Then we die together, because I'm not leaving." He stepped forward a step seeing if she'd back off. "Listen, we'll get everyone screened and monitor every move of people outside and inside this weyr." He stared hard into her eyes. "I don't care what you say, you'll survive, and so will I. However, we should be more concerned about that Z'Arian and his Eisel. They are going to be leading their own weyr, and they are the ones we should worry about. You hear me?"

Lintana slid down the wall. She knew she was being selfish and she hated herself for it. But she couldn't even think about something happening to J'rel. Lintana hid her face from J'rel behind her arms. She didn't know how he could face her after her selfish needs.
Saterth hung her head low and nudged Lintana softly on the shoulder. She felt Lintana's pain.
You are not selfish for wanting your loved one unhurt.

"Lintana..." He stopped. He walked over and bent down to kneel so he could be eye level with her. He moved her arms and looked at her. "Listen. It's going to be ok. We'll figure something out. And what happens will happen. But I'm not letting you beat yourself over it. Got that?" He stood and patted her on her shoulder. Then he turned to go clean up and get ready for bed.

Lintana looked J'rel in the eye and her tears stopped. She believed him as much as her heart would let her. She felt shameful. While J'rel was getting redy for bed she got up and pretended to brush and oil Saterth. In the end she just ended up falling asleep curled into a ball in Saterths arms.
Saterth crooned softly and looked up at J'rel.

J'rel shook his head, but smiled softly. At least Lintana wouldn't be trying to keep him or others out anymore. She wouldn't be left alone to fight this. J'rel nodded to Saterth, telling the dragon to let Lintana sleep and crawled into bed.

Lintana was having a frightful sleep. The images Perth had shown her had mixed in with images she had of her weyr and other weyrs slowly dieing. She kept hearing Saterth's moaning and the wale of dragons morning their dead. She woke up with a fright, and looked about. Saterth was sleeping and so was J'rel, she sighed in relief.

BiC|| Eisel woke with a start, a feeling of being lost and in danger pervading her senses for a split second before she realized where she was and relaxed. An anxious feeling stayed with her, however, and Umbrielth revealed herself as the source. Lintana thinks she is sick, Mine, the queen reported uneasily, sounding nearly distraught. I'm sure everything will be fine, love, Eisel replied absently, noting that it was still the wee dark hours of the morning. She didn't feel like going back to sleep, though, so she got up and went back to her own weyr to change out of the clothes she's slept in. Is Lintana awake? she asked Umbrielth on a whim.

Lintana had quickly fallen back asleep but just as quickly woke from a restless nights sleep. She started gasping for air, she felt as if she were drowning. She told herself to calm down and take slow breaths, but all she got were short shallow ones. She looked around and saw only darkness. Fear crept into her head, was she blind? No. Her eyes registared to the darkness and she could make out the large shape of Saterth sleeping next to her. It was just before dawn. She let out a sigh that was cut off by sharp coughing fit. She was beginning to see how sickness killed to easily. Her lungs felt heavy and her coughing cut at her soar throat. She had felt fine yesterday, besides being scared out of her wits. Lintana tried remembering back to when she could have recieved the illness. Two weeks ago she had been with T'Kla, disscussing how to go about persuading the other weyrleaders to let them create yet another new weyr and for it to be run by very young riders.
Saterth woke up at Lintanas coughing fit. She set her head next to Lintana as her eyes whirled with worry. Do you require anything? Should I wake J'rel?
"No" She tried to whisper butwas surprised when no sound came out. SHe felt at a loss untill she remembered her mind. The incubation period is about 14 days. That was the last time I saw T'Kla. We need a way to tell the healers as soon as we can. Don't wake J'rel up. He needs all the rest he can get if he catches this sickness. Lintana stopped and listened. She felt more than heard Umbrielth anxiousness. 'Eisel must be up then' she thought to herself.

Eisel frowned as Umbrielth passed on the message that Lintana was awake. "She shouldn't be..." she murmured to herself, already striding down the hall towards Lintana's weyr. After some consideration, she switched courses and headed to the storeroom first to stuff some things into the pocket of her skirt before continuing to the Weyrwoman's room.

Z'Arian woke as Esiel left, but didn't follow, she might want some time to herself. Instead, he stood, and slipped on his boots to go outside and take in the morning air.

Lintana layed next to Saterth and felt the golden scales of her belly. Lintana put a hand there and was already feeling very slight buldges. She sighed and began to worry about the new eggs.

J'rel wandered in thought as he stared at the ceiling. He was unsure of what was going to happen. All he knew is that somehow, this weyr would fight back. He'd try his hardest to make sure no casualties were faced in the coming sickness. He heard Lintana moving around, but didn't turn. She probably though he was asleep.
