Illitashia eyed the tiny cub, now hanging from her prey's neck. The sight of the tiny huntress amused her, and with the realization that the beast was dying, she sunk in claws and teeth again. The antelope crumpled to the ground.
Elli stepped off, walking gingerly as she favored her left side. The shadowed imprint of a hoof marred her pale green coat, and she hissed when she tried to move. "Desert take it."
Her golden eyes fell on the beast with disfavor.
Rellick urged his playmates into the grass with a delighted shout, hanging back to eye his brother. "You know it was momma.. So do Jade and me.... "
He muttered, then slunk into the grasses. "Dad will see to it."

Areli loosened her jaw, dropping down to the ground. "That was fun." she smirked, hitting the beasts neck hard with her paw once, then again, with her claws extended. She looked at Elli. "Ouch." she said again, looking at the hoof mark. "Thats gotta hurt." she said, then looked at Illi.

Illitashia smiled at Areli then stepped over to Ellidanio. Rubbing cheeks with the other lioness, and asking her if she was alright.
Elli smiled. "Yes yes.. Nothing worse than the other times I've been kicked.. Softer than most actually.. Now.. Shall we take this back?"
Illi nodded, and turned to the antelope, siezing a leg. "Yes let's."

Areli bounced alittle from excitement. "I sooo can't beleive I just went on a hunt with you guys!" she said.

Both queens smiled at the bouncing cub.
Elli nosed Areli and nodded. "Yes and you did quite well.. Why don't you go ask that lazy husband of mine to come help us drag this back?"
Illitashia eyed Elli, thinking. 'You know full well you're doing that because you can't help me drag it back. You're hurt worse than you let on dear friend.'

"Well... I could help carry it... but... whatever." she said, then looked at Elli. "I think you are hurt." she said, turning to see Elli. "I think thats why you want me to get him." she said all smart-like.

Elli moved forward like water, fighting back the spike of pain, and rolled Areli onto her back. She nosed the cub with a smile. "I'm fine. But we need Rackna's help. Two lionesses and one cub are not enough to drag back an adult antelope. Run along."
Illitashia nodded solemnly. "Besides."
She said with a mischievios wink and smile. "It is still early in the day, and I would not wish to work so hard, when we can make the King do so...."

Areli giggled at their words, then rolled back onto their paws. "Okay, I'll got get him then." she said, and bounced alittle, then started to jolt back to the other lions.
When she got there, she looked around at all the lions, but couldn't find Rackna. "Where is he..." she murmured glancing around the area at the others, but, no Rackna. "Dangit..." she said to herself.

Brooke blinked.
'So when stuff like this happens... You guys just sit here and wait for you daddy to get to it?' Her voice was washed with incredulity. These lions sure had it nice. It was hard for her to accept that she would have to become more or less like this if she wanted to fit into the pride well. But it was just so hard, just to sit and do nothing where she normally would have had some ruse to scare the hyenas away. She shook her head. 'Wow. I guess it really is different...'

Tay watched the rest of the Pride from the safety of Solio's legs. The dreamy eyes moved from lion to lion. She was glad to be home and leaned into a blue leg. Now that she was no longer traveling she felt a bit sleepy. "Solio-mother?

Rackna stiffened, his eyes straining for a glimpse of the hyena that had challenged him. His eyes narrowed as they picked out the odd pattern of hyena fur among the undergrowth. He growled low in his throat, threatening the hyena. Standing defensivly over the small white cub, he let out a roar, one so low and deep it seemed to shake the ground beneath their feet. Usually, hyenas weren't that big of a problem, but that's when he was by himself and not on his way to check on his possibly injured mate. He just prayed the cubs would stay home and not come to try and find their mother or him.
"Yes Tay-yibah?"
Solio replied kindly, glancing down at the cub with an affectionate glace. She chuckled softly at the cub's sleepy expression. Solio suddenly remembered that Tay had only been here for a few hours, and she was probably rather tired... and hungry.
"As soon as the hunting party returns, I can wake you if you wish."
((Rackna has taken Briseis with him, and they are almost with the hunting party. He's not at the pridelands... ^^; ))

-TS- Alex She stayed planted in her spot, "My name's Kish'ya... Who are you?" She paused a moment, "You're very pretty." She wasn't used to communicating with other lions and often spoke her mind freely. ((Sorry for taking so long to reply, I blame my short attention span Xp)) Wategra rolled her yeahs, "yeah, thanks lil one,.." She patted her on the head with a large paw, perhaps a bit harder than she should.

The small cub smiled and curled up, purple tail feathers floating over her nose. Tay was quickly asleep, dreaming of unknown things and things that cubs dreamed about. Never hunting, but of sun and peace.

"Its not like we want to."Rellick smiled at Brooke. "There could be dangerous stuff out there.. And even if we don't get hurt by a hyena or wild dog.. Dad would sure be mad if we went "looking for trouble.." Wouldn't you say Jade?"
Jadera nodded. "Yeah... That sounds about right. So lets hide, Brazen is the seeker!"
With a laugh she leapt into the grasses and dissappeared.
