"The mall is just a few blocks that way," She pointed as they started driving in that direction, "And you will do no such thing! I get my pay check next week and I will be paying you back, if not in money then I will just find something to do to pay you back!" She hadn't ment for it to sound so dirty but she wanted to pay him back, mooching was just something she didn't do. They pulled into the parking lot and She took a deep breath before starting to move.

Jeff heard Connor and felt a little bad that his tv was too loud especially now that his new friend liked Connor so much. He turned down his tv then caught the scent of blood. He got up and leaned against the door. "Are you doing alright man?"

"M'fine," Connor called back, staring at the hole-laden ceiling. He just wanted Jeff to shut up so he could sleep. The pills were already kicking in. "Just... sore." Not a lie, but not entirely the truth, either.

"Ah, but you are in my care," Curtis pointed out, "any my guest." He continued to grin. She would break. He would make certain of it. "Besides, being around for eighty nine years allows you plenty of time to save extra money."

"Hey wait a second. Connor?" Luka pretended to be surprised. She walked over and pushed the door open a crack. The first thing that she noticed was that he was shirtless. The second thing he noticed was that he was covered in bandages. "Oh my God, what happend?" She ran over and knelt beside his bed.

Kat froze. "You've been around how long?!" She was a little concerned that he had just said that he had been around for eighty nine years. "You're joking right? Or did I hear you wrong?" She couldn't nor wouldn't beleive he was that old and still looked so fine.

Either the drugs were making him hallucinate, or that really was Luka kneeling beside his bed looking concerned. Connor blinked several times and rubbed at his eyes, but when she was still there he had to admit to himself that she was real.
"I... um... pissed someone off." He smirked wryly. "I know, it's not shocking." He took a second to realize that she had just emerged from his suite mate's room. "...What in the world were you doing in Jeff's room?" And though he didn't vocalize it, he also wondered why in the world he even cared.

Curtis should have guess that this information would be surprising to her.
"You heard correct," he admitted, his expression becoming slightly serious. "I am eighty-nine years old. I was turned into a werewolf by Hitler's men at the age of twenty, and have therefore not aged since." He was silent for a moment. "That is why I grew so tense when you mentioned the Neo-Nazis last night. Those monsters mutilated me, and I witnessed them destroying the lives of countless others."

Kat had no idea what to say, she wasn't expecting something like this. She didn't eben have an idea that people had teh technology to mess with people that way especially 69 years ago. He looked so serious. She just couldn't beleive that this man, who was so good looking was really 89. She almost dropped her jaw but thought that would be inapropriate. "I don't think there are words that can explain anything about how I feel." She reached out and grabbed his hand. He didn't have a 89 year-olds hands and she had kissed him earlier and he certainly didn't feel like he was that old. She wanted to comfort him but at the same time she wanted to slap him for being 89 and not telling her last night. Then again there probably wasn't a good time to tell anyone that he was 89, it wasn't his fault that he had been mutated by Nazi's. "Let's go in, you can pick out anything you want me to wear." She tried smiling to try and make him less serious.

Jeff went along with Lukas act. "I didn't know you two knew each other. When did you guys meet...wait, man is that blood on the bandage on your hand? What the hell?" Jeff slipped into hte room looking freaked out.

"Like I said, I pissed someone off," Connor repeated, trying not to groan in annoyance. Why couldn't he just sleep. "I'll probably have a doctor look at it tomorrow." Luka knew he was a hunter, but Jeff didn't need to know. He was human and therefore did not need to be involved. His question still hadn't been answered, so he just dropped it.
"I just downed some pills. I should be good until tomorrow."

"Sounds like a good plan," Curtis consented as they walked into the mall. He couldn't recall having ever picked out clothing for a woman for any reason, but he was certain that he could at least help Katra look nice. Well... nicer than she already did.
"Lead the way," he told her.

She moved stiffly throughout the mall but had fun watching his face as she would pull out shirts and pants and skirts from the clothing racks. In the end she bought two bras, a pair of jean and a pair of slacks, two more tank tops, three fitted tee's, a nice patterned shirt and two new skirts. She was tired and wanted to sleep as she made it back out to his car. "We should go to your place and sleep." She yawned and rubbed her eyes.

Luka had smelled the scent of wolf on him and she was pissed. "Oh hun." She very lightly trailed her finger down the bandages on his chest. "I hate to see you like this. If something happend, if you didn't make it, I don't know what I'd do. But you did bring this on yourself." The hand that was tracing the bandages reached down and grabbed his crotch. Her eyes blazed with fury. "It was her wasn't it. I warned you. Now give me one good reason why I shouldn't just tear them off."

At first, he was completely and totally speechless. This was partially because she was so boldly groping him and partially because of her threat. Luka was one of those whom he sincerely believed would carry such a threat out.
"Because I like them right where they are and so do you!" he gasped out. His face had grown quite hot and he couldn't help writing in discomfort. "I was just doing my job." Now he was not only flustered and embarrassed, but also annoyed. He kept his voice low and quiet, however, so as not to disturb Jeff or draw his attention.
"You may not like it, but the mayor does not want you here." He began to grumble. "It's not like you have to worry now, anyway. Her mate not only broke my ribs, but my gun, too. And my knife is still there."

"Sleep sounds like a wonderful idea," Curtis agreed as he held open the car door for her. He cleared his throat once he was also seated. "I um... only have one bed. It's a futon, so we will be sharing."

Kat smiled. "Thats fine, I don't mind." She was actually a little excited about it. She was positivly beaming with delight as she rested her head against the window of the car as they started the drive out to his place. She dozed in and out of sleep the entire drive there. She was completly out of it when they finally reached the cabin.

Jeff listened in and had to stifle a giggle as with his wolf hearing he could hear every single word of what went on behind the door. He could also smell another females scent around Connor and he did pick up a faint smell of another male also. 'So he is telling teh truth, I want to know who these other wolves are...'

Luka calmed down and let go. "You're right, I do like them there." She looked over all of his bandages agian. "Seeing how most of your body is relatively intact and that your getting paid to do this sort of thing, I just can't believe you usually run into this sort of problem." She rummaged through her purse and pulled out a cloth wrapped package. "Here, they're bound to want some revenge, especially the mate. You'll need this more than I do." She set the package on the bed next to him and unwrapped it, revealing a small silver knife. She crawled around the bed and climbed in, sitting cross-legged between him and the wall and fingered his hair. "What on Earth am I gonna do with you?"

"I also usually have my truck, and usually just work out in the woods, and so usually can do my hunting from a safe distance," Connor mumbled. He was well aware that he was doing worse at this assignment than most others, but surely his reasoning served to explain that. He sighed.
"But someone's brother has recently rendered my truck just about useless."
Connor looked over the silver knife, confused.
"Why in the hell do you have one of those?"

Since Katra was completely groggy, Curtis chose to carry her into the cabin. The clothing in the car could wait to be carried in later. It wasn't as if someone was going to be breaking into his vehicle and stealing things all the way out here. With Katra slung over his shoulder (as he needed a free hand in order to open the door), Curtis entered his home and set his guest on the flattened futon. After removing his shoes and shirt, he joined her and instantly fell asleep.
