She returned to the room from the little wash room she had once she was in dry clothes, her hair back in a simple braid, to keep it out of the way. It was hard to keep her eyes open, with how exhausted she was, and she just went over to join Alric, hanging up her wet clothes as well.

Alric took this time to take his dry clothes into the washroom and change as well. Once in dry clothes he returned to hang the rest of his up before sitng in the chair near the foot of the bed.
Rin looked extrremely tired both mentally and physically. Hehoped that she would now rest because she needed it and because it would allow him time to think.

Lying down on the bed, she just sighed, pulling the covers over her in an attempt to keep warm, while her eyes slowly shut. However, she did not see Einar, like she thought she would; instead her world was black, something that both relieved and scared her.
"Alric..."
She spoke softly, yet with a little bit of a plead, wanting him to lay next to her, to reassure her she was not alone again.

Alric watched her lay down and soon after heard his name come from her. It suprised him hearing her call for him....he wasn't uite sure if she was dreaming or if she did it consciously.
Alric stood going to the side of the bed....placing his hand on her arm.
"Rin?....."

Sighing, she opened an eye to look upon him warily. She hadn't wanted him to be concerned...
"You should rest too."
It was all she could think of to get him to perhaps be beside her... the comfort she needed...

Alric sat on the edge of the bed.
"i'm more worried about you esting"
His hand slowly stroked her arm unconciesly.

"Can... you lie by me?"
It was something she never did; ask something of someone, especially that personal... Yet with Alric, she knew he wouldn't mind... she just hoped that...

He noticed how cold she was and he figured it was for more warmth that she had asked him this.
Alric swung his legs onto the bed allowing Rin to scoot over slightly so that he could lay down.

Moving away a little bit, to allow him room, Rin allowed her eyes to shut again, sighing as she felt the warmth of his body. Cuddling to him, when he lied down, Rin soon fell asleep, her head on his chest.

Alric enjoyed how she snuggled to him. He noticed when she fell asleep and he was allowed to think freely. His mind continued to return to how he could have lost her that day. What if he hadn't found her before the boat sailed. What if he wouldn't have been able to get to her in the water.
His mind continued until he finallyfell asleep due to exhaustion.

Rin did not dream that night, just holding onto Alric, sleeping soundly. This was perhaps a good thing, for when she awoke the next morning, she felt a little better; the chip that had been on her shoulder was lessened.
Looking up at Alric, she sighed, before shutting her eyes again, snuggling closer.

Alric hadn't noticed how much the chase and saving her had taken out of him. This was the irst time he had not woken befoe Rin. He slept soundly with her next to him. He didn't even stir when she moved.
His hand stayed around her from where she had snuggled to him and the two of them rested peacefully for the first time in ages.

Not wanting to get up herself, Rin allowed herself to slowly drift off again, not wanting to think quite yet. When he awoke, she would be asleep again, which seemed natural these days.

Alric finally woke from his sleep. He was dissapointed in himself for sleeping so long. He looked down seeing Rin's eyes still shut her face resting on his chest.
He let out a sigh as he allowed himself to relax. She needed her rest and he would allow her to have as much as she needed.

A little while later, Rin slowly began to stir, her eyes fluttering open as she looked up towards him. He was awake, she noticed, her cheeks flushing a little from both the warmth of their bodies together, and remembering how she had asked him to sleep by her.
Alric... was someone I really needed, and I'm glad to have him here with me.
