Not hard enough!

I’m one of those bad things…

As soon as Bailey was out of the way, Abigail sprang foward like a racehorse from the gates. She barely even felt archer girl's blow, which landed on her already sliced ankle. The pain registered but Abigail's mind was focused on getting out and surviving. She may have worked for the Institute and she may have prided her reputation, but Abigail wasn't interested in dying.

Taking a prescious moment to ascertain which way she should run, Abigail took a long stride that sent her out of the doorway and towards Bailey. Abigail attempted to swerve around the dagger but it struck with enough force to draw a grunt from Abigail. Reaching down she yanked it out of her leg and continued to run, crimson dripping out behind Abigail as she tore down the halls.

Fully aware of what Bailey was doing, Abigail sprinted closer to the girl and returned her dagger, through her shoulder if all went well. Then Abigail continued to run down the dim hallways, knowing that she was at a disadvantage right now. She needed to get OUT.

…that happen to good people.

((Quick question before I post. What happens when a person uses telepathy on Abigail while they're out of her range?))

((Eeeh. School and personal issues are keeping me away from the internet, and therefore away from this.

I'll try to get on later tonight and post both here an Malice. I'm not sure how I'll fit Ras into all of this, but I'll find a way.

On the bright side, if Abigal is running out Retribution she might lead everyone up to Indigo and Parris biggrin ))

Useful?

I’m one of those bad things…

Abigail was just midly suprised when no one pursued her. Hmm...perhaps retribution was not as well organized as she thought. Oh well, better for her. And if she was lucky, then they wouldn't have moved by the time the Institute sent her out again. Next time though, she would bring back up. Not a group to work with, but actually back up.

As it were, Abigail hurtled out of the entrance, pausing to strike the two guards at the door unaware. They collasped into a heap. Abigail was pretty sure they were dead now, but she didn't stop to check. Instead she bounded away.

Then she saw them. The little group she had so easily left behind. The group with no experience at all. It made Abigail want to curl her lip but she drew closer. Perhaps....perhaps they would be useful after all, and if they died in the attempt, oh well. Not a problem for Abigail.

…that happen to good people.

[[I'm winging it slightly here cause I'm not exactly sure who's with the rest of the Institute group XD]]

((Sounds good. I'm ganking control of the rest of 'em for a while, since who knows where they went. Well, one left, but hey. Okay, ONWARD!!))

Sudden motion caught Parris's over-keyed attention and he spun violently to see Abigail run from an apparent entrance to the Rebels. "Abiga-!!" He chocked off the rest of his surprised shout, looking at the rebel and explaining it away (he hoped), "She's Institute. Nasty and experienced..."
He held for a moment, then decided to take this chance to prove their loyalty. Unfortunately, this was also the time that the ghost decided to start trying to cap them. <******** my goddamn luck!, he swore mentally as bullets whizzed around him.

As he got close to Abigail, he felt the tell-tale signs that her powers were on... a sudden decrease in the speed of his actions and the feeling that his weapon wouldn't act like it normally did. He shrugged that off and drew the blade anyway, the longsword glinting cruelly. "Die!" He rushed her, noting that she was very injured... And he would be too if Strohm didn't assume that her powers were on and he would be slowed.

"I trust... things didn't go well?" Parris muttered to her as he attacked, "Want some cover from the inexperienced?" He sneered, part for show and part from real hatred for her condescension.

((Oh, and Vlase is still wandering around inside, avoiding the fight if anyone needs a re-intro point))

((sorry for not posting for a while. My computer was being mean to me gonk . Anyway, time for a long post!))
Katerina gritted her teeth. Now that she was out of Abigail's range, her telepathy was at full power. Right now, it was like all of Retribution was pounding on the metaphorical door that was her mind. Katerina sucked in the pain, and turned it into a mental shield. Once that was done and the pain subsided, she stood and looked over at Ava. I'm going after her. You should come. Katerina ran out of the room, sure that Ava would follow. While she ran through the halls, Katerina gained a lock on Abigail's position in much the same way she had Ava's. Once she'd reached the exit Abigail had taken she paused to asses the scen. Damn..... There are more of them... Three men there, and two of them were with the Institute. And to make matters worse, there were two more coming. Katerina took a deep breath. There are four more people from the Institute! There are two men plus Abigail here. The men are called Paris and Indigo. Two more are coming! The two coming are called Strohm and Kimmy. Strohm is a regular human, but he's not to be underestimated. As far as I can tell, I'm the only one here, and Ava is hopefully on her way. Katerina sent this thought to everyone who had been involved in the fight with Abigail, plus Vlase. She hesitated a bit before sending it to Vlase since he didn't seem to want to get involved, but she decided to do it because they would need all the help they could get.

((Erm... Indigo and Parris are holding firm to the story that they are fleeing the Institute. I'm not too sure what your mind read there told everyone because I'm suffering from a lapse in brain function. but hey~

So, uh, yeah.))

((sorry not posting in awhile guys!))

Trent shook his head softly and crouched down peering through the door of infirmary. He quickly jolted upwards, he heard someone coming down the hallway, he felt his heart being throbe, and the load thumping. thump thump thump His heart went. He suddenly felt sick to his stomac and that was the last feeling that came to mind before he fell to a nurse's feet. As he lay there blood slowly started to ooze from his mouth. Not that it made his current situation any better. More like added to the humilation, or so he put it. After a few seconds had past he woke onto a hospital bed with an IV attached to his right hand. He was all happened to be attached to a Ventilator. He squinted his eyes and blinked slowly. He heared voices but couldn't tell what they were saying everything to him sounded distorted. Before he say another he passed out in a deep sleep, for the drugs were starting to take their toll.

NOTE

I’m one of those bad things…

Abigail didn't say anything as she saw Parris lunge for her. For a moment she was confused and reacted automatically, bringing up her staff to block the sword with a reasounding clang. Then as Parris spoke, she understood. Clever.

Despite being injured, Abigail sparred well enough, sweeping her staff under Parris's legs. She had to grant it to him though, he was doing well. Still, she couldn't help but hold back a snarl and then whispered fiercly, "I wouldn't push things too far, whelp. Like it or not, we both need each other now.

Abigail aimed another blow at Parris's head. None of these were delivered with enough strength to kill, but they certainly were convincing shots, and if the rebels thought her injuries were adding to her apparent lack in skill, then so be it.

…that happen to good people.

[[Erk...not the most coherant post. Anyways, if Parris wants to take Abigail out and let the rebels catch her...? Just a thought.]]

Vlase 'heard' the voice about the Institute members headed at them and shook his head. It didn't look like he could avoid this one if he wanted to stay safe-ish here. Turning quickly and heading for the surface, Vlase decided to make on of the riskier decisions in his life: to join the fight. He figured that unless they took Abigail down quickly, his powers would be ineffective... So he went with a hunch. As he walked, he ducked into what appeared to be either an armoury or a very well prepared person's room and grabbed a shotgun. Pulling off his glove, the familiar sensation of flesh melting into metal overcame him for a moment and he almost had to stop walking.

As the meld finished, Vlase looked over his now monstrous left arm. The shotgun was hardly recognisable, nor was his arm... He shuddered involuntarily. Even after years like this, it still got him sometimes.

A few minutes later, Vlase reached the surface and saw the fight unfolding. Apparently one of the Institute thugs was fighting with the female from earlier. "I understand this may be a stupid question," Vlase mumbled to the telepath, "But are you sure that they're all Institute?"

Parris dodged the blow aimed for his head, but not soon enough for it to miss him completely. He swore under his breath, he was being stupid and counting on reflexes that weren't there with Abigail so close. Stupid, stupid!

He lanced he blade forward and turned it as he swung so that the flat of it was headed for Abigail. He kept his mind focused on escaping the institute and capturing Abigail now, worried slightly about the appearance of one woman followed so closely by another. He could only pray that they would listen to his story... "Indigo and I are escaping the Institute, Abigail. And you're not getting back to tell them about our betrayal."

As the flat of his sword contacted Abigail's head (something Parris even winced at) Strohm apparently decided it was a good time to bugger off and vanish, because the bullets stopped flying and Parris was left standing there over Abigail, panting slightly as he waited for the Rebels to make a move on him. As a sign of good will, especially with of the rather mean looking man with the monstrous arm/gun/thing standing there, Parris sheathed his weapon.

"She's down for now..." He offered helpfully. He paused for a moment and flashed a wry grin, "I come in peace?"

Ava had indeed gone after Katerina. She'd caught the mental message somehow, and had witnessed most of the fight between Abigail and Paris. When Abigail fell, Ava took the opportunity to use her powers. She threw a fireball strait at the man who'd taken down Abigail, trusting everything Katerina had said. Sorry, but you've got to be a little more convincing than that.

Extremely so. Their minds are focused on "escaping" but just barely under the surface, it's the opposite. The guy with orange hair, Paris, he's a little weird. He's got some really... Interesting powers, and he was practically raised by the Institute. He's got basically nothing against them, and has worked with them his entire life. The other one is Ras' twin, Indigo. He's basically her polar opposite. She hates the Institute, he loves it. Any other questions? It took barely any effort on Katerina's part to syphon all of that information from Indigo and Paris. In fact, it could barely be called a warm up. Sometimes birth defects really aren't that defecive at all.....
