The city in the Sky looms ever close to the mountain. Only a day seperates the two.

Dante appeared through his doorway, watching as the Floating city hovered above the Mountain, perhaps only inches from alignment.
He savored this, this was going to be the time when the blade was his.

Dante thought back on his actions towards Art.
certainly, those that could destroy him would do so at the cost of her life, and those that cared about her lacked the capability.
So, before the Blade was closer, he would pay her a visit.

The 2 mile wide floating city cast the area around the mountain into shadow. It was time.

Dante strode out from his door, closing it and locking it on his way out.
He looked up at the floating collection of obelisks.
"It is time."

Dante smiled as he looked up, he could feel the blast coming, before he even knew what they were planning to do. The air was abuzz, something in the city was charging. The Blade was inside the floating city, somewhere. He would rend his heart out, of this he was sure. It was only a matter of time.
A matter of time.

The core crystal of Belcrant illuminated, it's transvescent, radiating rainbow colors and casted the mountain in an eary light. A torrent of energy acclimated to it, as sound of the energy grew immensely.
A charge was emitted, the blade swarmed with blinding light, and fired.

SHe watches the cannon fire stream closer to the mountain. She clutches her cloak tight hoping not to attract attention.

SOul is now seen standing on the edge of the city she just sits there. SHe flashes a hopeful glance at the mountain.

A shrill, high pitched shriek peirced through the air as the Beam from the Navr' etheron ripped down towards the mountain at a lightning fast speed. The bright white light of the concentrated energies was outlined in a slightly less pwerful blue hue, giving the devestating weapon a look of holy origins. The clouds around the beam were evaporated as it travelled downward in an eeire effect. The all-disintegrating beam contacted with the mountain, but nothign seemed to be happening.
then the first bolt of red lightning was seen.
The half a mile wide beam was now complemented by a flurry of red lightning arcing out from the thing it contacted against to nearly everything up to two miles away. the lightning arced back in on itself, and a pale red hue began pervading through the lower parts of the beam. it spread upwards, the red glow taking over the entire devestating blast, the sky went black, and a deep red color flushed through the beam when it finally cut out, pulling it down.
Something was wrong. As the sky went to a normal, sunny blue, all could tell that the mountain remained unchanged.
Nothing happened.
Dante stood there, grinning as the air Crackled alive around him with red lightning as the massive amounts of destruction absorbed themselves into his being. The lightning gradually lessened, as the arcing lightning was quickly accomodating into Dante's growing power reserves. The air around him shimmered under an intense heat, as it was all the way up to the giant sword of the Navr'etheron. The rocks and ground around Dante were thick with new ice. Dante inhaled, and they air became chill, and the ice grew, not unnatural, but too much for the time of year. It crept along until it pervaded an area of thirty-nine yards in all directions over the face of the mountain. He exhaled, the lightning calming down to nothing.

Once again, violent tremors came from within the mountain. The earth shook with a degree of strength that it was amazing the mountain did not simply collapse, the roar of the earth deafening.
Mechanical gears began turning within, the ancient process for the opening of Evanescence had began.
The mountain folded apart and togethor again in various locations, revealing mechanical parts of gears, ancient, but not decrepid. Golden archways began to spiral out, as the entire face of half the mountain opened, from within revealing ancient gates, grafted on either side to the mountain, where gears and levers and crystal controls waited to open it.

Dante begins to charge a red ball of destruction in reply. He had all the power he needed to bring the Blade to his knees.

"the hell?" Dante re-absorbed the growing ball of death to look behind him, " What in the name of all that's me is this thing?"
He began to walk towards it, perplexed.
