"Bullcrap." Blaine said, looking at the woman, a worried look on his face, "Ma'am, I'm only here to protect Karl from him," he said, pointing at Z, "And the others that are with him. He's the bad guy." Blaine insisted, his words a little shakey. He wasn't the best at verbal confrontations, especially under stress.
He looked at Z, "Why do you want to kill him! What has he done to you?"
He sighed and tried to come to a conclusion. He looked to the woman, "Can you take both of us to him? That way the one who wants to kill Karl," he looked at Z, "Would have someone else to stop them and the other can do their duty and protect Karl."

Z frowned at Blaine's assertion's. "I don't have time to argue your lies. We need to get to Karl so I can protect him." He stated looking off into space absentmindedly. "Take us to him." He said glancing at the woman.

The woman looked at Blaine. "I have a better idea. No one touches me," she plucked Z's hand off of her shoulder with surprising force, "and I don't take either of you to his office. It's that way, though," she said, nodding down the hall.
"We were calling Karl's office," said the tech. "No one answered." They arrived at the door, and one of the techs pushed it open.
The office was in disarray, papers and files on the floor, and the window thrown wide. It was, of course, deserted.

"Alright. Uhm... can we split up into groups and have someone go find my friends? There's..." He described Blaine. "And let's find Karl here..."

"You and James go find your friend," said one of the techs. Another, presumably James, nodded and stepped up next to Nathan.
The rest went into the office and began to look around.

Blaine sighed, "All right, ma'am, I won't force you to help me." he said before turning away from Z, "If you're honestly trying to protect him, we should, you know, actually find the guy."
