Noah kicked him over, he was dead or at least not awake. Noah lifted up the guy's glasses, his eyes were closed. He checked the pulse, he was sleeping. Strange, thought Noah, the mans sleeping was a sign that Noah still wasn't strong enough for Shanks. Had the man fallen asleep right before the attack hit or had Noah knocked him unconscious?
Noah left the man there asleep but continued to look for other possible teachers. Even though there weren't that many people in the are he felt like someone could help him.

This man must be a sniper, thought Noah, judging by his accuracy he is a good one too. Noah couldn't even see the man, yet he was nearly able to hit him. The voice sounded as though it was getting closer, Noah took out his pistol getting ready to fight if he needed to. "I'm looking for Shanks, leave now and I won't kill you too." the man began to laugh, "My name is Yassop and Shanks is my captain, if you want to get to him, you have to get through me" another of Shank's crew had shown up to fight Noah, was this by chance or was Noah's life in danger?

Two bullets came at the exact same time, both grazed Noah, "How can he be holding three guns?" Noah asked himself. Yassop must have heard him because he responded, "Oh I ain't holding 3 only one, I'm just a quick finger. You see those bullets weren't fired at the same time but they sure as hell were fired as quick as possible making it seem like I'm holding three guns." Noah heard this and tried it out, his was a little slower but at the same time, he could do it also, he had a quick finger as well. He tried once more the bullets almost seemed as though they were moving in unison.

Shanks...had become nothing but a blur now. Before, Nicholas' eyes could keep up with the insane movement the man presented, but now...

Now, he considered himself lucky to be still standing.

"And this still isn't his full power..." He whispered, a haunted look on his face. The power this man possessed...He could feel shivers running down his spine.

"Its a shame he won't kill me...it would have been a nice way ta go, death at the hands of one of the greatest pirates of our time."

He slashed out at the red flash before him, and was rewarded with his efforts but a small scratch on his cheek, causing blood to flow.

"Wonderful."

"Not fast enough, Nicholas." Shanks commented, stopping nearby, sword held lazily within his hand. "Please...do try to hold on as long as you can, I'm starting to have fun now."

Fun? Nicholas couldn't help but agree. This was fun, in a sickly fascinating way. How completely different the two must have looked at the moment! Shanks, coolly looking down at Nicholas, not even the slightest hint of sweat on his forehead, while Nicholas looked back up at him, covered in sweat and blood. His sweat. His blood.

Nicholas flashed an evil grin.

"Bring it on old man."

Shanks sweatdropped. "Oi oi...I'm not that old yet."

The two met again, blade crashing against blade, leaving a faint ringing noise in Nicholas' ears when they parted, and Nicholas twisted, his blade smashing against the wooden table that Shanks was on moments ago, feeling Shanks own blade slash at his side, sending a fresh wave of pain through his body.

"I just got Shanked." Someone groaned at the pun, while someone else ruined the joke by pointing out that a shank was actually a stab, but frankly no one really gave a s**t.

[3/10 Pirate Finale]

It had barely been 2 minutes now since Shanks had announced his intent to go semi-serious, and already Nicholas felt like surrendering. It was just too much for him, his speed, defense and attack...

Before, he was barely holding on.

Now he was, in a word, owned.

He hit the floor, not for the first time, bouncing slightly, before coming to a stop, and rolled, kicking out at Shanks, feeling a small hint of satisfaction when he felt it connect, only to swear loudly when he saw he had hit a chair.

The swear was cut off when Shanks blade came down, pushed aside barely by Nicholas' quick reflexes.

This was going nowhere. He hadn't fought this hard before in his entire life, and yet he was doing absolutely nothing to the man.

Anger bubbled inside of him. Anger at himself for being so weak. Anger at Shanks for taking this so lightly. Anger at...well everything really.

With a new roar of anger, he twisted, blade smashing into Shanks' next strike, forcing Shanks back with all his retard strength, succeeding in throwing Shanks off.

"Oh! You still have some fight in you I see...I like that!"

Nicholas resisted the urge to say something like "Then You're Going to Love me", continuing his ferocious attack onto Shanks.

Shanks was growing slightly concerned. Despite the wounds Nicholas was receiving, despite his constant falling, the fact that he was barely able to defend himself against Shanks' own attack, despite all the punishment he had received over their long fight, he kept on fighting.

He supposed it was something to be admired, showed how far Nicholas was willing to go for victory, but in a way it still worried him. At the rate Nicholas was going, he would end up killing himself, either from blood loss, exhaustion or some thing similar.

Shanks resisted to urge to grin at what would be Nicholas' reaction if he ever did end up dying from exhaustion.

But he could feel it...could see it in the mans eyes. He was no longer holding back. He was cutting loose.

He could feel it, deep inside of him.

This. Was. It.

The exhilaration, the sheer thrill...nothing in the entire world, gold, women, influence, nothing could compare to the feeling that he had right now.

Fighting head to head with one of the greats, cutting yourself loose from everything you held dear in his world. He'd never cared about living or dying, so long as he met his end with someone of a great power.

He'd never felt happier.

Shanks gritted his teeth, locking blades again with Nicholas for the umpteenth. He kinda wanted to avoid killing the boy in front of him at all costs...not because he saw some kind of ******** off potential inside him, but because he knew he'd feel some kind of moral wrongness afterwards.

Shanks sighed. It looked like it would come down to this...

Nicholas froze, staring at Shanks with mute horror etched onto his face as he felt...something fill the air. A definite...wrongness.

"What the-"

It intensified, growing to the point that he couldn't stand it anymore. His eyes rolled back, froth formed at his mouth.

He fell, falling into unconsciousness as he did so. His final thoughts were, before he blacked out were:

"I so have to learn that."

He floated, eyes seeing nothing, mouth tasting nothing, fingers feeling nothing, ears hearing...cursing?

"s**t...Shanks, did ya have to use that? You damn near knocked everyone out!"

"Its been a good half hour, look everyone's waking up now!"

"That's not the point! Don't you think that was a little extreme on the kid?"

"A little extreme? The kid was damn near close to killing himself! I just stopped him before it went to far!"

There was silence.

"You know he's not going to be happy after this."

"I don't really care, as long as he's alive."

"He's going to want to fight again."

"Well, I'm going to have to say no, aren't I? That kid seems to be seeking death...its crazy!"

"Well, what are we going to do when he wakes up?"

"...you could fight him?"

"Me? Are you nuts? He's a swordsman! I got no sword tricks!"

"You have that hand to hand move, that'll do."

"You-I...fine. Whatever. I'll do it"

Nicholas opened his eyes, blinking wearily into the startling light that greeted him. He's eyes shut immediately, and he winced, objected in a soft childish voice.

"Rise and shine princess."

Lucky Roux stared down at him, an evil grin on his face.

"Where's Shanks?"

"He's out right now, needed some fresh air. Come on Princess, you'll be with me for a bit now."

He took the offered hand, grunting as he was lifted.

"Alright then. Show me what you got."

Another three were fired, and then another and then another, "You must have a lot of bullets." said Noah. Yassop laughed, "Enough to last me till you die." Noah tried to find him in the mist but he failed, "Why don't you just show yourself?" asked Noah. "I don't show myself because the key to any good sniper is a good position. The way I see it this match will be over in no time" he said as he fired three more shots. Yassop might have been lying about the amount of bullets he had however, it would appear as though he would keep on shooting until he hit Noah.

Noah took 3 shots, considering he couldn't see any of them hit. He saw 3 bullets coming through the mist he avoided them and yet he still felt a sharp pain in one of his legs, Yassop knew he had hit him, "Its the 5 bullet combo mate, not the 3." Noah was amazed the ability to pull the trigger 5 times in a mere second. He needed to match Yassop one way or another he had to shoot five. In just this short time, he had mastered the 3 bullet combo maybe the five bullet combo would be just as easy.

"Just come out already, I don't have business with you anyway, it's your captain I want" a faint silhouette of Yassop could be seen from the mist, he was seemingly approaching Noah. This was strange, a marksman willingly revealing his position.
"In truth I could care less about what you want, being a pirate I have standards to uphold. These standards, or rules if you will affect every decision I make, being a pirate is really something as long as you follow your captain. By the way your not strong enough for my captain. He's defeated far stronger than yourself." remarked Yassop mocking Noah.

The figure now on the floor didn't move. Yassop might have been killed by the attack. Noah approached the body, it wasn't Yassop. In fact it wasn't even a body. It was a trick created by Yassop.
Noah was confused, how did he have time to make that without being seen? "Clever trick." said Noah acting as though it was no big deal, "Thanks, it is one of my favorite pranks, anyway sorry but I have to end this now." Noah quickly tried to find him but still there was no sign of him. Noah began to fire randomly into the distance all the bullets missed.
"C'mon kid, you know better than to shoot randomly, don't you?"
