Kall broke, nuzzling her and licking her cheek over and over again. He had thought she was dead. That she was never comming back. And now she was standing before him, alive and well.. "Fayola."
He gave a shudder, buring his face in her shoulder and chest for a moment. Breathing in her scent, he knew it wasn't a dream, and let tears of relief fall. They painted his dark cheeks and her green shoulder, and were followed by tears of joy. "I thought you were dead, I.. I love you."

"I would never leave you or our family so soon," she nuzzled his cheek. Her own eyes became wet, he and her family thinking she was dead was an god awful thought, sbe licked his cheek clearing his tears. "I love you too, Kall." A purr came from her as she nuzzled him again, comferting.

After some wandering, Leanna came back. Her tail flicked gently as she entered her new home. Slowly, she stepped into the coolness of the den, all seemed quiet and yet peaceful now. Sighing gently, she stretched before curling up against the cool cave floor. Leanna's eyelids slowly began to close, everything growing blurry. Sleep began to overtake the lioness as she began to travel in her dreams.

"I love you Fayola." With the return of his mate, Kall seemed to fall back into his old self. He smiled gently at her, and paced slowly back into the sunlight. Turning his eyes up to the King's Pool, he noted that his eldest son stood there with a fetching female. "Well, someone certainly has grown up."
Ferrian smiled as his father and mother appeared out of the lower Den. "Must be mother, only she can make father so happy..."
He glanced to the Den, and smiled, noticing Leanna had returned. "Welcome home, Leanna."

The lioness awoke with a start at the voice. Her eyes widened with surprise as she had been taken off guard. "Hnn..." She got up and yawned, stretching the limbs in her body. "Huh? Oh yes, Prince Ferrian...I thank you for the welcome." She shook the sleep from her body and slowly came over to the others. "I see things are going well." She looked from both couples giving off a gentle smile, her tail flicking gently. "Shall I go hunt to celebrate this joyous occasion?" Truthfully, her muscles were itching to be in acting again, her left ear flicking.

Once Sano had deducted who the strange lioness was, Wistaria hadn't hesistated to smile gratefully in Dashira's direction at her words, both for the explanation and the comfort that lay behind them. She bowed her head to the shaman. "A pleasure indeed... and my thanks."
"My love... " she murmured as Ferrian arrived, nuzzling her mate with added gusto. To hear that it was indeed his mother bought added relief. The great crisis that had begun to rip this pride from the very seams was resolving itself. It warmed her heart to see such a thing, and those smiles they bore...
Then it hit. A wave of pain from within so sudden and startling that it stole the lioness' breath clear away.
As for Tengai, his smile was more vibrant and alive than it had been since his mother's 'death'. His eyes were still twinged with red, fur marred and matted with tears, but there was no doubting just how truly happy the cub was. Fayola was home. Kall was home. Things were setting themselves right again!
He walked with an added bounce to his step, head held high -- he was just short of singing to himself as he moved to meet with the gathering group of pride members.
The only sour spot to all this was the lack of his brothers... but right now, Tengai was just happy to have his mother and father back again. It was a start, and a darn good one at that.

Sano spotted Kall and Fayola , and Ferrian and Wistaria. He smiled to himself, thinking that he couldn't wait to be so in love like they were. He was jerked out of his thoughts, hearing Wistaria gasp. His eyes darted to the other lions, hoping that heard they that too. Sano looked at Lady Wistaria with worry in his eyes. "Lady Wistaria...?" he asked, looking up at her, "are you ok?"

Wistaria composed herself, mustering a reassuring smile for Sano... though there were still traces of a wince to be found if one looked carefully enough. "Yes young sir Sano, I believe I will be. However... " She turned her gaze to Ferrian, giving his shoulder a loving nuzzle. "I believe I need to excuse myself for the time being."

The female yet again slinked away from the pride. Her tail flicked gently. She wasn't needed here, they had everything under control. An impulse seized the female as she trotted away from the pride toward the deserts...her one true home. What was calling her there? Nothing but heartache, pain, and lonliness would greet her. The King had probably moved on and found another mate to bore his heirs...but she felt hopeful, had faith. It was all Leanna had that kept her going...

((Again, sorry for my absence.. I hope Hiatus won't last much longer.. gonk ))
Ferrian nuzzled his mate and smiled gently. "If it is time, then, I understand."
He purred and licked her cheek. "Dashira can show you to a Den, where you will be undisturbed... I imagine she'll remain within calling distance, should you have need of her."
Dashira smiled at her sister-in-law and nodded. "Of course... Shall we be on our way then?"
She glanced down at her parents and roared a greeting, glad to see they had both returned to all she had known as a cub. "Momma! Daddy!"
Kall smiled at his children and nosed his mate. "Come.. We should head up to the HighDen anyway.. And I would speak with our eldest son."

Sano gave a nod, watching the family head of. He sighed, and stared out into the grasslands. Soon there we going to be new cubs, and things we're going to change dramaticlly. Kall had just reappeared, and Lady Fayola had show herself as well... Sano shook his head. This was going to be interesting.

Wistaria nodded, flashing both her mate and Dashira a grateful smile. "Yes, please -- and thank you." A brief wave of nerves swept over the lioness, though she did her best to keep them in check. Nothing was going to go wrong.

Kallivenion nuzzled Fayola and purred in her hear, then turned toward the walk to the HighDen and the King's Pool. With a smile, he trotted up the rise and nodded his head to his eldest son.
Ferrian nosed his mate off after Dashira, turning to face his father standing proudly. He nodded in return, then gave his mother a welcoming smile. "Father, Mother... I am compelled to tell you, that you will soon be Grandparents.."
Dashira smiled at her brother over one shoulder then nosed Wistaria gently. "This way."
With a flick of her tail she trotted down the path way and around a corner, weaving through a patch of greenery and a few trees to a hidden den. It was a Birthing Den, where the new family could stay for a few days before moving the cubs to the HighDen, should they wish it.
"If you need anything of me, you have but to call."

The Queen nuzzled her son before she heard his words. "I-I..." Her yellow eyes were wide. Tears started coursing down her cheeks. "My baby... I'm going to be a grandmother..." She buried her face in her King's mate.
