Lock sighed, hanging his head. He still kept his hands on Erebus' dumb, dumb shoulders though.
"It's not ... bad to like someone, you know." Advice he needed to take himself maybe. "But whatever." He threw his hands up in defeat. "Live in denial and die old and alone. I don't care."

Taryn continued to munch on goodies from the table for a while, continuing to observe the other teenagers. Everything seemed boring to be honest, and he wished Nightwish was playing again, or maybe put something like Stratovarius on. Black Diamond. That was a good song. Anyway, the "misfit" monster decided to stroll around. He located a girl with a blue dress nearby and he snickered. Taryn dashed forth and let outta fearsome growl, his red eyes beaming. He hoped to frighten her, but if not, maybe at least get her to talk to him.

Amphi was pretty happy how she prepared for Prom! She had thought of her outfit in a second! It was really easy cause she was a mermaid....So she went as the Selkie princess in some of the stories that her sisters would pass on!
And who better to take to prom then an actual Selkie Princess!
Amphi was somehow, holding the hand of one Marzena, who she had happened to decide was her date because she wanted to meet her more!
"See the prom is so pretty!" Amphi held up her hands for Marz to see. "We can dance and play games and it'll be fun!"

He stared at Anna with a flat expression before finally sighing, conceding defeat. "Fine," he grumbled, not having the heart to reject the ghoul now that she had given her reasoning, "One dance. One dance."
Taking a step back, he offered his hand to her, only to flinch at her question. When he answered, his voice was a little louder than what was necessary, probably carrying over to both Erebus and Lock who were still standing off to the side.
"DATE. WHAT DATE. SHUT UP, ANNA." And then he forcibly grabbed her hand, set his other hand on her waist, and pulled her into a dance in hopes of distracting her.

"I... um..." Erebus flinched. "I mean, I never thought of her like... and look, I'm not exactly the most... eligible bachelor..."Marzena had never liked prom.
She wasn't a fan of socializing in general, and having to dress up according to a theme. (Though a part of her had to admit that this year's theme was pretty interesting at least.) Mostly it was because Marzena could not be bothered to put in effort into a costume, and because she had never intended to go in the first place.
However, for some odd reason, she was here. Somehow.
She would never comprehend how she let Amphi drag her here.
Marzena let out a deep sigh. "I don't even know how to dance."
Dancing in water, maybe. But on land? Not something she liked to do.

"You're right," Lock said, crossing his arms and leaning against him, pushing his shoulder into the other boil. "You only have bad qualities, so it makes sense."
There was a smug smile that slightly faded when he looked back out to the dance floor.

Amphi could only smile at Marz brightly!
"It is okay! I can show you some dancing! And we can eat whatever we want, and play games? And you don't have to stay with me the whole time if you don't want to, but I would like it?" Amphi bounced in her outfit.
"Do you want to play games or dance first?"

A shame...his tactic had no affect on her what so ever. In fact, he could have sworn for some reason he'd transformed into a ghost somehow because he got no attention at all for his attempt to get some.
Most of the people here were dancing. Taryn could dance too, but seeing as he didn't know anyone...this made things awkward and he didn't want to make a fool of himself unless that was his intention. So once again, the boy just observed. He'd hurry towards the far wall, and have a seat in a vacant chair. Here, he looked particularly gloomy, resting his elbows on his knees and his jaw in his hands.

Anna made a small sound, her tail curling around Lutz as he started to dance!
Ah but she was looking over at the two boils and she worried. "Are you sure?" Anna asked quietly. "I will not cry if you wish to go back. You have already made a good Prom memory for me." She swayed a little, liking the whole dance aspect of prom. It was like how the behemoths communicated feelings for each other by circling each other.

Being Marzena's biggest fan was a full time job. A life commitment, really. It wasn't hard when you had a head start growing up alongside the ghoul. Sibyl blinked and looked toward the prom entrance in time to watch Marzena walk in. Marzie was here. She gasped, her hands flying to her face as she bounced on her toes. Marzieparziemarzieparziemarzieparzie! "Gabby! Gabby, Gabby, Gabby!" She squealed and threw her arms around him in a tight hug, grinning up at the dragon boil. "I'll be right back, okies? Right back! But Marzie is here! I didn't tell her I was back yet I'm sure she's super duper worried and stuff so I gotta let her know I'm okay and safe. I LOVE YOU, GABBY~!" She hugged him tighter and then she was off, hurrying through the crowd of students until she was able to throw her arms out to hug Marzena--and then. Tripped. On her dress. The only thing she ended up grabbing was Marzena's ankle. "Owwww.." This was why Sibyl didn't normally wear long dresses.

"I agreed to dance, so we're going to dance," he shot back in what was probably a harsh way of saying, "yes I'm sure, don't worry about it". There was a pause, and then shrugged, awkwardly looking at her and then away. He tried not to glance over to where Erebus and Lock were.
"So..." he started slowly, guiding her as best as he could, "How are you liking prom? It's pretty uh. Busy. Huh."

Aphrodi and his frog date eventually wondered in and out of the gym-turned castle several times. Mostly to grab a drink or bite to eat as the night wore on. More dancing was done, to fast songs... slow songs could be awkward at the best of times and with the closest of creeple.
At the moment, Aphrodi had grabbed one of the remaining pairs of Prom glasses, sitting them high on his head where one of the frogs peaked through them. He'd grabbed Cosette a wand, that she was waving around with great gusto and he'd pocketed a set pied piper's pipes as a memento of his first event at Amityville High.
Now they were standing back next to the refreshment table, Aphrodi eating his way through a plate of the wolves in sheep's clothing and what was left of his kabobs, a half full drink (true love's kiss, that had made her laugh as the frog he's picked up all paied a bit more attention that was needeed) on the table next to him. Cosette herself had forest friends drink herself, the flys were a nice bonus to the drink.

"Well, you know what I mean." Tomoko was sweet and cute, and he was just a dumb boil who chose to bury his face into books all day. "I don't really..." Marzena started, but she was cut off by a familiar squeal in the distance.
... Oh, this was just great.
The ghoul squatted down, eyeing the younger selkie with a raised eyebrow. "...What are you doing."

Well. If Sibyl was going to abandon him for Marzena, he wasn't going anywhere. Gabby sat back down in his ice corner and began to ice up an igloo around himself. Take that. Eight HAHA SUCKER NOW YOU CAN GO TO BEANSTALK WITH MARZ BYEEEE

"Actually, I don't," Lock said coolly. "Even you have things to offer." Just don't ask them to name them, he's too tsundere for that.
He sighed and said, "How long do you think he's going to last?" His eyes didn't leave Lutz and Anna, watching them sway so awkwardly amongst everyone else. It would have been funny were he not strangely irked by the sight.
