Fae was content to curl up against Niobe, a faint purr echoing through the kitten's body. She was thankful to have the lioness to offer an explanation for her, and tossed Venya a downcast, apologetic look for emphasis.
She listened to Venya's story, peering up at the other kitten as she spoke. Fae's ears went back a ways, purr fading into silence. A war? How terrible... no wonder Venya had looked like she was on the verge of tears a few moments ago!
Fae opened her mouth, almost as though to say something... but again, nothing came. She looked down at her paws, tail curling around herself. The wishes of Venya's mother echoed all-too familiar in her mind -- it was almost the same thing her own mother had wanted for her when she'd sent her running.

She watched Benoni leave as her precious adopted cub purred and rubbed against her, she licked her fore ruffling her fur giving her a mohawk sort of looked, she smiled at the bit comical site as she laid down a bit tiredly. She blinked looking to her scooping her up with her mouth and placing her between her paws so she could watch over her. This was a new day, her past gone the flood, the attack and the past loves gone. She was happy for once.

Angel smiled a big smile. She was so happy and she wanted everyone around her to be happy too. She decided she would sing a song for everyone. "The candy ran over the mountain, the candy ran over the sea... the candy was yummy and tasty, So it ended up in my tummy." She continued to sing and made up many songs.

As the time passed Mandolin found that he enjoyed patroling the land for Benoni. He walked the same path everyday being careful to note any signs of intruder. The pride had been growing which was good. Now his paws lead him away from his usual path towards Niobe. He always felt drawn to her. Something told him that they were more alike then either even realized.

Benoni stood behind the cub, her story made his heart soft in a way he didnt understand, glancing down at her he cleared his throat. "You have a fresh start here, I am Benoni. King of these lands." He said as he lowered his head down to the cubs veiw. "Welcome home Venya.." He smiled and bowed his head to her, his eyes then moved towards Niobe. "Who do you have sister?" he held a teasing tone with her. He'd wondered where Cayimmi had gotten off to now.
Niobe's smile brightened as she lifted her head from trying not to cry at Venya sad tale, she had clutched to Fae without knowing it. "This is Fae, she is going to stay with us as well. I told her I'd take care of her, shes my adoptive daughter now.." She licked the small cub's face as she purred and nuzzled her softly. The movement of Mandolin caught her attention, she lifted her gaze towards him and smiled softly now. "Good day Mandolin.." she said softly.
"Alright, Welcome Fae...I hope my sister treats you as well as she would have her own." He too noted Mandolin, padding towards him he smiled. "How are you Mandolin? Any news?" he asked, it'd been a hetic day he'd hadnt the time to check the land, but was ever so greatful that he had Mandolin.

Jasmyn was in a den just outside of Benoni's lands if it could even be called a den. She was now cooled off and her temper back to normal. Her azure eyes faded knowing what she must do...apologize to her elder sister. She blinked as she exited the den and to the borders. She let a roar call through the lands for Tequila. She wouldn't dare to cross the boundaries knowing what she had done, a true Jenkyl and Hyde.
Kila's ears flickered as she heard a faint roar in the distance, familiar. Her sister as usual, the well known apology after a tantrum. She got up and nuzzled Angel lovingly, "I'll be right back sweet heart." She left their own cave and noticed the other lions eyeing Benoni.

"All is well. There is not much out of the ordinary that I have seen on my patrols." Mandolin said as he smiled at them both. "I am doing fine Benoni and good day to both of you. I gather that every new pride member has been met and welcomed graciously by you both." He looked at the cub in between Niobe's paws and grinned. "The little one is fortunate to have such a mother, adoptive or biological." He took a seat near them as he spoke.

She almost jumped at the sound of his voice. Looking over at the gray male, she quickly composed herself. "Oh..." Venya quickly noticed the others and shook her head. "Please, do not trouble yourselves over my grievences. Past is past and I have to look to the future, because it's all I have now." She gave them each gentle smiles before settling next to Niobe. She yawned a little. "But, I thank you for caring and giving me a chance to start fresh, King Benoni." She gave him a gentle bow back before looking over at the new lion Benoni was addressing. "Mandolin? If your name is correct, my name is Venya. Pleased to meet you, such as being another member of this benevolent pride. And if I may, these pride leaders have done more than well of welcoming me to my new home. I am most grateful." She bowed again then kept silent. Her tail wound around her body slightly as she licked her nose then quieted.

Angel wanted to go with Kila. "Can I go with you mom?" Angel was afraid Kila wouldn't come back so she followed her. She was in such a hurry that she triped over her own feet and fell on her face. When she looked up she saw that she was right beside Benoni. Angel got scared because he looked so big up close. She ran behind Niobe and hid.

The grey coated teen nodded his head towards the new lioness with a polite smile. "Its an honor to meet you Ms. Venya. I am sure that you will be most happy here." He spotted another cub scurry to hide behind Niobe and grinned. "My goodness. It seems we have a lot of new members. How nice." His green eyes shone with murth.

Following the scout back to their camp was easy enough. For once Nimbus actually kept quiet and let Emi do hre thing, which was to protect the little cub, who was something like a brother to her.
She was thankful when she saw Benoni, and recognized him as the king. By his mannerisms, she could tell he was a good king, so she hadn't made a mistake in bringing Nimbus there.
She turned around and picked up Nimbus in her mouth, by his neck, and carried him out of the brush and into the camp, and then set Nimbus down and bowed to the apparent King.
"Hey, what's the big idea picking me up like that, and without any warning?" The cub asked Emi.
"Pardon Nimbus, he is still very young. We come seeking a place to stay. The wild places are not safe for us on our own. There is safety in numbers, I believe." Emi explained, still bowing her head.
Nimbus finally looked around, and then looked at Benoni "Your big!" he explained enthusiastically.

Cayimmi yawned, waking up from his nap, walking to the warmth of the sun from the shade in which he had rested, just in time to see a new pair of newcomers. His first thought was to go Benoni's side, but, watching him, he acknowledged the King was on the move, something that wasn't on his immediate list before snapping out for good of his state of lazyness. Instead, he padded to Niobe and the cubs' side, seating down in the dirt. "Hello ladies." he greeted, his head held up high.

Fae offered those around her a meek smile, tilting her head in silent thanks to both Benoni's and Mandolin's words. She was truly lucky to have stumbled upon a pride so warm as this one... though the numbers were admittedly a bit overwhelming. All she'd ever truly known back home was her mother and father. Her mother had said that once, there had been others; but they'd chosen to go find their own paths in life before she'd been born.
That just meant she'd have to try even harder to stay out of the way. Warm as they were, with so many, the risk of treading on someone's bad side ran that much higher.
Which made it that much worse when she found herself staring at the newcomers; or more specifically, the water cub. Fae quickly averted her gaze, huddling against the safety and warmth of her adoptive mother. She desperately hoped the young blue lioness hadn't noticed her. She was just so... different. Nothing like any lion she'd seen before.
As Cayimmi approached, she offered him her typical shadow of a smile, tilting her head in a silent greeting to match his own.

She stood on her hind legs, and followed Fae with her eyes "You don't have to fear me, little one. I'm still just a lion. Just a different type." she explained, then looked at Benoni "You are the King, right? So can Nimbus and I stay in your lands, with your people?"
