Are French and Spanish both taught in Canadian schools?

My school (and trust me, it was a little hick school) had both spanish and french. BUT french is mandatory to get your high school diploma in ontario. Only because it's one of our national languages, and probably because we're right next to Quebec. (I mean, we're not singling any other languages out...i'm just gonna shut up now) redface

Heh, well right now my school is a university... so they offer courses in french, spanish, greek.... yeah, lotsa languages. but in my high school, we only had french and german. we had japanese, but they got rid of it the year before i got to high school

(I mean, we're not singling any other languages out...i'm just gonna shut up now) redface You're right, thank God I've paid attention in all my French classes whee LOL, I did in grade 9 but in grade 10 I started loosing interest in everything- I still think french is a beautiful language, I'm justy not very fluent in it sad I'm in college right now, I'm not sure what languages we offer, spanish and french for sure...I know we have a Tai Chi class, but I don't think they cover language in that class... What university are you in WickedInnocence?

Wow, I would love the oppurtunity to learn Japanese or Greek. Japanese because I like anime and I want to be on the staff of a video game production company. That, or study the classics (Greek and Roman culture and beliefs) and be a professor...or a job that needs people who know stuff like that sweatdrop
