With the shirt out of the way he set the scissors down and flopped on the bed next to Kaleb. "Okay. So ... want tha books ya brought here? Cause i'm not letting ya get up."

Once Riley was done, Kaleb immediately went looking for his blanket. He couldn't find it on the bed, at some point it had gotten knocked off and half-pushed under the bed. The mage didn't dare try to lean over and grab it like he would have without the wings, but he did manage to catch it with a foot and pull it up.
With the fluffy blanket wrapped comfortably around his shoulders and keeping him decently covered, he turned back to Riley. "I-I would really like my books, thank you."

"Yea .." He still didn't get while Kaleb was so protective of himself. I mean he didn't have anything that Riley hadn't seen before.
Getting up he went searching for his partners books so he could bring them to him. If he could read maybe he'd not be so worried about getting up.

While Riley was off getting his books, or maybe book depending on how many he could carry all at once, Kaleb piled up some pillows to rest against. If he lay propped up on his side, he would be able to read without having to sit up or hurt his wings. Once he was all settled he closed his eyes to rest for a bit.

He almost hoped that Kaleb would have fallen asleep while he was gone. He'd only been able to pick up three books easily so he set those down and though about going to get the other two.

Kaleb perked up and smiled once he heard Riley come back, and reached over to drag one of his books over to where he could read it. It was one of his favorites, and although he had read through it twice before, now there were things he could apply differently or adapt for other uses. It was a very good reference.

He stretched out on the end of the bed and yawned. He'd not gotten as much sleep as he would have liked since he was worried about Kaleb and waiting for his phone to ring. He'd called Rufus while he was out yesterday to tell him that Kaleb was sick and wasn't coming in but they'd want him back eventually.

Kaleb found it a little difficult to get any good quality reading done, he was a little hungry, a little sleepy, and in pain no matter how he lay. He ended up drifting off to nap since it was so easy to do while reclined the way he was. He would have to try getting up again once he woke up, since he needed to eat and grab his cell phone so he could call the hospital and let them know he wouldn't be able to make his shift for that evening.

He was nice and out long before Kaleb drifted off. With Kaleb hurting he couldn't sleep with him so it was a little strange but at least he could feel his partners weight on the bed.

Kaleb snoozed longer than he would have liked, but he simply attributed it to the healing and recovery process. When he glanced down and realized Riley was asleep he figured it would be the perfect time to attempt to sneak out of bed and get something to eat. Clutching at the blanket around his shoulders, he slid to the edge of the bed like he had earlier in the day and let his feet dangle for a minute as he got used to the pain.

He shifted in his half sleep as Kaleb tried to sit up and managed to grab the waistband of the mages pants. He wasn't suppose to be getting up so he wasn't unless he wanted to do it in his boxers, which Riley also had a hold of conscienceidently , and he doubted that his partner wanted to do that.

Kaleb immediately stiffened when he felt Riley grab at the back of his pants, and then squeaked as he tried to pull away without losing his pants in the process. "Riley! Let go!" he exclaimed, blushing brightly.

"Not suppostah get up." He yawned and went back to half snoozing. He wasn't about to let go so that Kaleb could get up and hurt himself.

"I-I'm hungry," Kaleb said, "I-I have to get up." He tried again to tug himself and his pants out of Riley's grasp, but he couldn't pull too hard without revealing more of himself than he wanted to.
