I would suggest a white elephant style Christmas. This is where everybody donates an item into a community plot. Then the items are randomly given to everyone who entered. Nobody knows what they get until they receive their present. Only people who enter with a donated gift receive one.

They used to be able to wrap items into little boxs and instead of trading with someone, you just send it directly to them
