It wasn't Honey's fault that she came from good genetics! No doubt her looks made both her mother and her father proud (or so she hoped). Already her father, for all his rakish ways, prowled around in an almost territorial manner but then again he also gave his distance. She needed to make her own choices and she was clever enough toe make the right ones - he believed that and so did she!
Thus, it was with a raise of her brow that she listened to his rapidly changing tone and then released a snort. If his family had taught him any better he wouldn't have teased her like that, he would have had better manners! So his parents may very well have been lovely individuals but they weren't perfect. All that remained was that he had insulted her...even if it was a year or so ago.
Women didn't forget, well she didn't.
"Ye are tha' wee one," she replied coolly after a few moments of careful consideration, "Ye still the wee babe ye were nae tha' long ago so dinnae be expectin' te use that excuse on me." Arching her brow higher the mare very calmly allowed her tail to flit from side to side as she surveyed the stallion before.
Hmph. He may have been exceptionally attractive to her raging hormones but she still had a brain and she sure as hell wasn't going to let him win her over on hormones alone.
"And tha' 'bad' experience as ye call is was me first and only experience o' ye! So much for first impressions!"

Faolen could not decide whether or not he wanted to put up with the mare anymore or if he ought to give her props for being so stubborn when it came to them not being able to get along. He was very near just bursting into laughter and letting her have her way. How would the female react if he did just what she wanted and went away for good. He looked over one more time and figured that talking and reasoning and apologizing wasn’t working.
Besides, her having any hint about what sort of parents his were certainly didn’t make him much happier. Then something dawned on him. She had the nerve to think ill of Caelen, yet Lovey was by adoption his aunt. As a colt he’d spent plenty of time fussing around with his aunt and getting a lesson or two when he had started to grow his curls and long tail on how to look decent in public.
His mind certainly had wandered.
“All right. I’m tha’ wee one. I made a joke an’ now I’m as bad as one o’ the damned kalonas.” His tone wasn’t as harsh as the words, more of a calm monotone with a hint of irritation. The long white-green tail slashed back and forth and Faolen took his time finding his words.
“Ye want me gone, ye canna stan’ me. I’ve apologized, I was jest a colt.” If she was going to say that she hadn’t changed at all from then til now… He’d be a monkey’s uncle.
“I had the feelin’ that the -first- impression woulda been us fishing. Chew on that missy.” A turn and not another word, Faolen began to amble around the edge of the water, seeking something yet to be known.

Oh, my god.
Honey did her best not to gawked as the words trickled from his mouth. It was only when he turned round and began to amble away that she let her jaw drop in the most unladylike fashion. Luckily for her she didn't drool so the over all look was one of genuine surprise as opposed to anything different but still! He sounded like a foal being forced to apologise by his parents, she could almost picture him scuffling his hooves and mumbling while one of them stood over him.
So he did have manners.
That being said the very image made her snerk aloud, or rather it was a bit of a snort. Yes, little Honey appeared to snort when she laughed and she couldn't help herself. That being said when she did snort she promptly stopped, went wide eyed and then started to laugh again with the sporadic snorts in between. It was an affliction, she didn't think either of her parents did that.
She snerked again and promptly cleared her throat though and shook the images from her head. She was more disciplined than that, more controlled but her eyes couldn't help but wander to his backside as he ambled away...damn those hormones. Raging didn't quite cover them as she canted her head to the side and just admired.
Well he couldn't see, it didn't matter.
By the gods she was turning into her father!
"I'd rather chew on somethin' else if I was bein' honest," she mused aloud, before gasping as she realised that it HAD been verbal. Holy mother of god, and it hadn't even been a whisper!

For the love of…
Faolen’s movement had become fluid because he had said his piece and wh ile more than little bit of it had been forced, not all of it and still his point had been rather easily made. He stopped after going about half the distance around the lake they were at, it wasn’t a huge lake, but it was more than big enough for two Soqs. She could suck an egg if he wasn’t going to be allowed to swim. After all, that had been his original purpose for leaving Flossy behind. The cream-orange mare didn’t have enough of a love of water to make swimming more than a splash-fest.
The water would cool his temper.
One marked hoof dipped into the water and a sigh rolled off of him. Usually Faolen swam alone because the one time he’d had someone with him, Harij, he’d been told it was like some sort of private moment between him and water. Well, if she didn’t like the noises he made when he swam.. She’d leave! Not that they were inappropriate in -that- manner.. Just different than others.
A slow smile spread on his face as another hoof went into the water, her laughing had irritated him a bit but not enough for him to speak. Lifting one leg entirely out of the water and placing it carefully forward Faolen worked himself totally into the water. Ahhh, soon he’d be up to his nostrils in water and the world would be right.
Wait a minute..
Had she just… Oh lord, too perfect.
Instead of speaking Faolen began to move in the water, perhaps a bit like a bathing Adonis? Yes, he’d keep those thoughts in his mind and his movements fluid. Being mean didn’t pay, did it leannan?

Oh well, it could have been worse and she could have declared all her 'fantasies' out loud. One little off hand comment couldn't and wouldn't hurt her, he might have picked up on it and chosen to interpret it in a different way anyway! Unfortunately for the mare it appeared that Faolen had interpreted her words in the way they had intended to be and she could only raise a brow as she watched his little show.
Oho the things going on in her mind were highly inappropriate. With every passing moment she was turning into her father only instead of admiring the female physique she was most definitely admiring the male one. Pursing her lips, her expression remained thoughtful yet by the glazed state of her eyes she was hardly considering anything potentially ground breaking.
Such impure thoughts, she would have her grandmother in tears.
But ooooh boy! She positively quivered as she watched his little demonstration. She was doing her best, maintaining her composure as best she could despite the urge to squeal like a rabid fan girl. That was the only problem with being a teenager, just out of childhood and into something new and exotic.
Haha! No wonder her father had become corrupted.
She released a small sigh, almost of contentment and then it hit her like a brick. The dazed expression cleared and her eyes widened - How DARE he do that to her! How incredibly rude to abuse her like that, he was just what her daddy had warned her about! He was a Rake, manipulating her when she didn't even know it.
Well it wasn't going to happen, no way!
Puffing out her cheeks the mare gave a small snort and unceremoniously stomped back to the short, losing her balance half way whereby she flopped onto her backside. Ah yes, how ladylike of her, she thought in a rather sage tone before pulling herself to her hooves and continuing to stalk off. With luck, he would keep his mouth shut and she could delude herself that she hadn't just fallen on her a** like a young filly...

Faolen decided that the way this show would be best would be if he simply pretended that she didn’t exist. So, when his mind began to wander what he did was totally innocent. When it came to being sensual and all that jazz, Faolen was incredibly young and some of his perhaps, “moves” weren’t all that great. She was young too though, so most likely the mare wouldn’t really know the difference in what he was doing.
First he dipped his nose into the water and went to spread water up along his back, sighing as the heat from the sun in his black fur began to fade out and the cool dripping of water replaced it. His eyes darkened a bit more and even though he wanted to look her way she would not allow himself to lose focus on what he was doing.
No matter how silly what he was doing would probably be to someone that knew him.
His tail was soaked now, but with a bit of patience he managed to fan it out in a white circle. He contrasted well with the water even if that seemed entirely too vain. The black blending with the water and some of the green giving the water perhaps a lively green color. Ohh, did Faolen feel like a winner for now.
Part of Faolen began to understand his father more and more.
Was she going to say anything.. Ever?
Out of the corner of his eyes he saw Honey fall and it took quite a bit of tongue biting for him not to comment on that or at least to see if she was okay. The slashing and stomping of water filled his ears and Faolen innocently turned around to see how she was doing. Would the stallion continue his little game.. Or follow after her? Maybe Flossy would have a little bit to do in his plotting? Oh the ideas…

She wasn't going to look round, she knew that her resolve wasn't that strong. Instead, she busied herself with shaking the water from her pelt and began to move away again at a more practised pace. Now and easy, she didn't want to trip again and she slowly managed to pick her way across the shore to a more desirable location. Curse him to the hills and back for taking her lake, why did he have to go and invade it?
She was fine on her own! Now she would have to find a new lake to swim in - maybe the beach would do?
She wasn't sure but after a few moments of consideration she perched herself underneath a tree, her back end partially covered by the shade of the leaves while her head remained in the sun. She needed to try off and doing one side at a time made more sense - besides, this way she could nibble on the grass beside her and watched other passers by. Hell, they may even drag the mean boy away!
Puffing out her cheeks as he still invaded her mind the mare lowered her head and began to nibble on the grass with renewed vigor. He was a rake, her daddy told her to be careful and she damn well would be. She wasn't going to quiver and melt just because he had nice muscles and made such suggestive movements.
She was a lady.
More importantly, she was better than that!

Faolen was now going to just have find. The water had taken the heat out of his mind thankfully and it was all he could do to not just burst into laughter with the fun that was having a sparkling clean lake to himself for however long he felt like having it. A small smile settle on his face and soon enough there was..
SPLASH! Faolen slapped himself into the water, squealing (deeply of course) and having the time of his life. It didn’t really make much sense but the splashing and such that Flossy found to be all encompassing was rather fun right now for him.
The water had him happy and rather content. His coat was entirely soaked and soon enough he’d have to dry out or shrivel like a raisin.
All right now, it was time for him to get on out. Sighing softly the stallion enjoyed the pleasure of the water parting as he moved silently through the water to it’s edge. A deep sigh of contentment slipped from him and Faolen went to settle in the sun. Perhaps find someplace extra sunny to dry himself off and to think about what his next plan of attack was going to be. Wait, when did he decide to attack?
Probably when the little smart mouth had opened her mouth and issued a direct challenge at him. His grin was full of sunshine and happiness. Sure, his insides were a bit twisted from the addition of more adult feelings, but this felt like sort of a fun dance to do back and forth.
He was a gentleman.
But that didn’t mean he was a push-over.

She had never claimed he was a pushover but she was a lady and therefore better than him. Under no circumstances would she permit herself to be beaten by one so uncouth as him! He had tried his best and while she had quivered for a while she had steeled her resolve and had pulled through or rather...she had turned her back and feigned ignorance until he was done BUT it had worked out just as well.
That was her story, she was sticking to it.
No arguments.
Nevertheless as he settled himself on the grass she became all too aware of the fact that her lake was now free again. That undeniable urge to return to its cool embrace returned and with only a fleeting glance towards Faolen she was struck by what she could only describe as absolute genius. Well, it appeared intelligence most definitely ran in the family - especially when it came to war.
And this was a war.
"Hmph." Releasing a somewhat delicate sigh the mare finally lifted her head and gave a mild shake of her head. Given that her head was in the sun, the sleek blonde longs (thank you mother) began to ripple and dance as though they were of the same 'material' as the lake. Fluid in motion, it positively gleamed and Honey could only send a rather long thank you speech to her absent mother.
That done, she gave an almost cat like stretch before drifting back towards the lake where she paused briefly to admire her reflection. Now this was playing to the whims of a male and she would have him begging for mercy when she was through. She had been prepared to let his arrogance slip but after his little show, she simply couldn't. He wanted to attack, she would meet him with a full frontal assault!
Thus, she canted her head to the side and provided a rare smile to her reflection, the blonde locks slowly tumbling over her eyes and neck. From that point on, only one eye was visible as she allowed it to 'glaze' over in thought - well actually she was thinking but she wouldn't admit to that.
Watch this, pretty boy. She shot a mental challenge towards the stallion though refrained from looking round (that would totally give her away) and began to slip into the lake slowly. Wading in, she made certain that her steps were slow...just enough to ripple the water but not enough to slosh through it - it was only when she had reached the point where she was up to her shoulders that she glanced briefly at her tail.
...Unsurprisingly, the fluffy tail had splayed itself out in an expectant manner - she often used it as a rudder but she couldn't complain when it made her form look so much sleeker.
I win! The voice sank in her head as she dipped into the water a little more and then pushed off. Savouring the embrace of the liquid around her form and that weightless feeling, she drifted back and forth in what could only be described as an exotic dance.
Ah yes, when she swam she never really did it with any intention...she just wanted to get lost.
I totally win.

Faolen continued on with his sunbathing, letting his mind do just whatever it pleased. Some of the images that danced in his brain were much more graphic than others. For the most part what he had in mind for her would be fun and not all that bad. Caelen, his father, would probably be rolling on the ground with laughter if he knew how much his son was suffering right now.
Honesty was the best policy?
Well hell.
Faolen heard the splish-splash of her going back into the lake and nearly grinned. Soon enough he’d be wanting to take another refreshing swim and a true coward would run out of the water because he certainly wasn’t planning on speaking to her. Oh no, that would ruin the fun that could and would be had. All that was required was a bit of silence?
Definitely, made a fun war.
Oh boy, his adopted aunt was going to be getting the lecture of a lifetime for making her daughters the way they were. Even Flossy, the vivacious and oblivious mare that she was had a certain way of using her hair that could make someone stop and stare with either a mix of disbelief and with the right stallion want. Good thing Faolen knew this though, it was one less trick that she’d have in her arsenal to use on him.
When she finally entered the water, Faolen went to a great deal of trouble to make himself stretch and yawn luxuriously before standing and stretching out all of his limbs slowly. The slower the stretch the more he was able to make the muscles quiver and just in general show off more. Hair wasn’t going to make him the champion of mares.. But a good body certainly wasn’t his enemy.
One eyebrow raised up as much as it would when the hair began to swirl and froth in the water. Now then, this was certainly a view he had to admit he admired. The teal color to his eyes darkened if possible and soon Faolen would -have- to be in the water to hide the thoughts.
Stupid girls and their abilities to hide what they want. A silly grin split his face for a moment, oh.. She would probably die of shock and run away screaming if she had a clue that while Faolen wasn’t an old mare he certainly was an adult now and knew what he liked and didn’t like. Stepping forward innocently, letting his body move at a diagonal and slow prance towards the water, Faolen tried to plot his next move carefully.
The soft ripple of water disturbed was the next noise Faolen made. Playing these games was starting to lose it’s appeal. This had served to whet his appetite for more.
The water and the general quiet made Faolen move silently towards her before moving just in front of Honey. “Leannan, I think I’ve had enough of this game.” His eyes were dark still and the voice had a deep husky appeal to it.
She might have won the flirting..
But he sure as hell didn’t plan on losing the whole match.

Uh oh...
Well for all her 'wise' and 'knowing' thoughts she had not expected this. Still just a naive mare, she hadn't been fully aware of just what she could do to a stallion and as he slowly began to approach her she could do nothing more than quiver. Unfortunately, she wasn't entirely sure as to whether or not this quivering was from fright or anticipation - there was potential for it to be a bit of both.
She was after all, barely out of adulthood.
Then again, her father had lost his innocence when he had been around her age as well. He'd never been affected by it, seemed perfectly happy with it and it hadn't done him any harm. It was hard to tell if the mare was just as much like her father as so many assumed given she did hesitate a damn sight more but still...
Allowing her gaze to trail up to meet the stallion's, she released a rather loud gulp at how dark his eyes had become. Having never experienced the attentions of a rather 'determined' stallion she floundered in her own uncertainty and found herself creping backwards to lengthen the gap between the two. There was something threatening in those dark eyes and yet as he seemed to grow by ten feet (an exaggeration of course) he looked strangely appealing.
"Me name ain't Leannan," she pointed out wryly.
