"Good bye." she said simply.
Mithrana nodded and allowed a slight smile to play upon her lips. Mithrana turned her head from her hybrid child and continued back toward the arena. She would get Zale next time she was sure of that. Hell she would probably kill him next time they met.

It occurred to the small biped as he watched the tall fire creature depart that he had just shouted at and been generally scathing of said creature. How insane was he? What difference had he expected to make? Stupid, impulsive idiot; she could have bitten him in two, burned him to a cinder and Gods alone knew what else.
“But she didn’t, I don’t think she will either. She may be… well, she may be very her but she wouldn’t do that to me.” Well probably not anyway. Angetenar sighed and set off towards he point he and his battle partner were meeting for some pre match planning. “Think I can do it?” he asked, feeling an uncertainty that hadn’t been there before the encounter with his mother.
Beetle sighed and flicked himself up onto his friend’s back with a touch of magic, shielding himself from the fiery crests as he did so. “I haven’t a clue,” he replied eventually as the tall wyrm began to trot. “I believe in you but you’ll be up against the best. Honestly though I don’t care if you win or not, it won’t change anything from my point of view… Well I mean I hope you win but… well it doesn’t matter if you don’t.” And it was time to stop talking before he went into auto-ramble, Angetenar would understand what he had meant.
The hybrid gave a pointed-toothed grin and picked up his pace a little, wincing at the clotted wounds scattered across his body. Thankfully he’d be able to get those repaired properly before the fight, hurting wasn’t any fun at all. For a moment he considered thanking his tiny bonded for the reassurance but mentally shook his head to the idea after a heartbeat or two. There wasn’t really anything that needed to be said in simple matters of feeling such as this as long as the link between them remained open.
“Well then,” the striped wyrm said with a grin after a few moments, “let’s go kick some arse, shall we?”
