(( Aylee Noyama ))
Aylee pushed open the door the HQ and stumbled inside, a little unfocused as she did so. Cyrus and Casper had woken her up at seven in the morning by jumping on her bed, and demnaded to be taken out of the house to go... somewhere. She strongly suspected they did this simply to annoy her. Oh, and did she mention yet that she STILL couldn't tell which was which?
The twins were rather chipper, for the sun only have been up a few hours. And they hadn't stopped talking since the three had left the house. After about ten minutes of trying to pick apart their conversation, Aylee had stopped trying. It seemed like words, even whole sentences, were left out at points.
As soon as the two childred were inside the BK HQ, they started running around, examining everything. Aylee didn't know where they got this energy. Hell, she still hadn't worked out how she's come into posession of the two little... er... bundles of joy, but things could be figured out later. Like when she was more awake.
Sprawled out on the floor was the grey-colored werewolf known only as Kaiyumi. Er...maybe not ONLY as Kaiyumi.
Infact, the day before, she'd stumbled into the place with a purple-colored cape (made of window curtains) on her back and a construction paper mask on her face declaring herself to be the one and only "Captain Kaiyumi".
Her plans to save the world had ended somewhere during the early morning, and the werewolf had apparently decided this place was as good as any to sleep, considering she didn't actually LIVE anywhere.
True, she'd stayed with that purple-haired lady and her vicious little chicken girl for a few days, but they weren't family, just strangers with food!
One of her feet twitched as her eyes opened slowly. What was going on? Sitting up, she shot one glance around and took immediate notice of the newcomers. "What is this Kaiyumi sees?" She asked herself. "Kaiyumi sees two at once!"
Cyrus and Casper hadn't really payed attention to the girl on the floor, finding her to be... well, not as interesting as trying to fling pillows at their half-asleep guardian. But when they heard her speak, they lowered the last two pillows (the others all aroung Aylee, who had fallen over onto them and was now using them as a bed), and exchanged looks. As if by some telepathy, the two simultaneously chucked the pillows at Aylee, then ran over to look at the new girl.
"Hihi! I'm Cyrus!" one said as he bounded over, "And that's my brother Casper!"
"Who're you?" asked the second child. He was identicle to his brother in every way, the only difference being the letters written on the sleeves of their shirts. This new girl could be fun to play with. They needed someone new; Aylee had stopped paying attention to them too quickly.
"I am Captain Kaiyumi!" She announced loud enough for the world (or at least two blocks) to hear. As if needing proof, she slid the mask that had fallen off in her sleep back over her eyes, jumped to her feet, and pointed dramatically in some random direction.
The only thing that could've made it better was if there was wind to blow that curtain cape behind her. "Captain Kaiyumi is defender of the innocent and hunter of the...not innocent!" Oh, yeah, she was good.
The twins exchanged glances again. No one in their new house acted like this. This was unexplored territory. And they knew what THAT meant!
"Well, what about people who are--"
"doing the wrong thing--"
"but don't know it 'cause--"
"they are being--"
"led on by--"
"someone else?" They finished their sentence, though to someone simply hearing it would have believed it had only been said by a single person, there having been no spaces in between the breaks.
"Oh, um..." Reaching up, she scratched her head before falling back to sit, looking very thoughtful. The thoughtful look became a confused one, then a somewhat irratated one, and finally she blinked and glanced around cluelessly. "What were we talking about?"
Well, at least she remembered who they were. That was good. Her tail wagged rapidly as she pulled the mask off her face, and judging by her expression couldn't remember why she was wearing it. Shrugging, she tossed it carelessly over her shoulder and clapped her hands. "There are two of you, boy! Is one of you a clone from the bad place?"
"Cyrus and I aren't clones!" said the one previously calling himself Cyrus, "We're twins!"
"Do you have a twin?" asked the one previously known as Casper, but now known as Cyrus, "We heard from one of our new family that everyone's supposed to have a twin somewhere. Then we were told he was just being phillyawficle."
The two sat down on the floor and stared at the girl, their heads tilted to the side, "So do you?" they asked together.
"Ummm." This certain werewolf had gone far past the level of forgetfulness. A few said she was just insane (though in a nice way), while most were quick to blame it on all the drugs the scientists stuffed into her and all the tests they forced on her. Which it REALLY was, no one but Kaiyumi herself knew...and she couldn't remember.
"Kaiyumi...doesn't think so..." She finally said, sounding uncertain. When a foggy image came to mind, her tail wagged again. "Kaiyumi has no twin, um...Kaiyumi doesn't think, BUT Kaiyumi has many brothers and sisters, yes she does!"
The twins grinned. This was going better than expected. There was some attitude in their new home to generally ignore them when they started trying to confuse people, and the only people at home who they thought they could trick either didn't speak or they couldn't find half the time.
"We've now got lots an lots of brothers, and a sister," said Cyrus or Casper, "Most of them are reallyreallylittle."
His twin nodded at him, "And there's lots of other people in the house too, ones who aren't part--"
"Of our family." the other finished. "What's your family like?"
"Kaiyumi has no family. Well...except those brothers and sisters, but Kaiyumi has not seen them in a long time. Kaiyumi thinks they might be gone away into the sky." Actually, she'd managed to locate one of her brothers recently. All he'd done was hide from her and deny the fact there were more of them. Her mind had declared it a useless event and it was there forgotten.
"Hmm." And there was that thoughtful look, which went into the same cycle before. Thoughtful, confused, so and so forth. This time, she remembered the question and shrugged in response. "Yes, Kaiyumi has no family."
"But... Who are you living with?" asked one, exchanging a look with his brother, "Are you--"
"Living in this place?" the other finished. They assumed she was living somewhere, and that meant she had to have so sort of family!
"Cyrus said once that your family is the people you're staying with," said the one now apparently known as Casper.
"It's important to have family. They feed you!" said Cyrus (though no-one except them probably knew who was really who) with a knowing nod of his head.
"Kaiyumi lives no where." This was hard to explain, and it was starting to annoy her. Annoyance and Kaiyumi didn't usually go together, and when she found herself in that mood it was hard for others to tell. She just sounded happy, and looked it too.
"If Kaiyumi needs food," she began slowly, as if they'd lose track if she spoke too quickly. "Kaiyumi can come here, or she can go to these ladies houses. They're twins, like you, but they don't live together and don't like each other much. Kaiyumi LIVES no where. Kaiyumi wanders, and Kaiyumi eats, but Kaiyumi does not live in a certain place."
The twins giggled, and it sounded like hearing one thing in stereo. Those who saw them laughing at any time, would wonder if they'd practiced their laugh, to make it so identical.
"We like where WE live. It's big, and our family is funny, even if--"
"They're all cranky. You should come live with us!"
They both stood up and opened their arms wide in the air, sort of like the effect of sunrise, "lotsa people come by!"
"Or so says the funny Chocolate Boy, as our--"
"New mum calls him!" Of course, neither of them expected her to accept. Had Aylee been awake, she probably would have protested. But if she DID accept, it would be even funnier to watch Aylee try to say she couldn't.
Chocolate boy...?
Somewhere in her mind, a voice echoed that wasn't hers. It was a mean voice, that was yelling at someone. It said:
And just what will you do if I don't, send me back to Chocolate Boy and his garden of evil flowers?!
Hm... Oh well!
Her tail wagged rapidly again, tounge hanging out the side of her mouth in a display that looked MUCH more like the act of a friendly, loyal dog than a werewolf. "Kaiyumi will live with you!"
She didn't know how long, but it sounded fun! These boys were...very interesting! There were two of them, but...they were different people! The concept of twins was a very confusing one to her.
The twins exchanged broad grins. Well, their day was only getting more and more fun! Now they were even happier they had dragged Aylee out of bed and come here.
"We've got a big family! Momma and Uncle are twins, like us! But... Fapernal or something!" said Casper, leaning forward slightly, "And our brother Solo! He's always cranky, especially recently."
His twin nodded at him, "And there's the funny guy in the Chocolate Boy's room! He's stuck in something, and refuses to speak--"
"to us." They exchanged looks again, and grinned. Actually the guy in the crystals had refused to talk to them after they spent an hour trying to convince him that he was seeing double.
"Kaiyumi thinks your family sounds very funny!" Kaiyumi cheered happily, clapping her hands together. Kaiyumi also thought she recognized the name 'Solo', too, but she couldn't remember it otherwise. Ah, well, not important.
"Hmm." Brothers and sisters, brothers and sisters. Even if she didn't live with them, and wasn't sure if she considered them "family", it would be nice to see them again. That is, if they were all still alive... "Kaiyumi needs to find the other werewolves like Kaiyumi."
Which she would...eventually. Glancing toward Aylee, she tilted her head a little, "That girl is related to you? Kaiyumi thinks she is weird."
Aylee had long since been passed out on the pillows, though some time during her sleep she had picked up one of the pillows and placed it over her ear.
"She's our new mom!" said Cyrus, "Though she's very funny. She's been trying to avoid us."
"And she glared at us for waking her up this morning," nodded Casper, "Chocolate Boy said she's the owner of the place we live. It's really big, like a hotel!"
Cyrus nodded as well, looking at his brother, "But I think they said it's called a Mansheeon. Or something."
"It gives us a lot of room to run around! And so many people come by. Funny people. We've only been there--"
"One day, and already we've seen funny people!"
"I went to a mansion once!" She blurted out, tail wagging again. Of course, hers didn't wag back and forth. Because that would be normal, and nothing about her seemed to be. No, Kaiyumi's went round and round in a circle.
"I played hide-and-seek there, I think. With this girl. Oh! And this boy. I think he was her boyfriend, but when I said something they got really mad." How was she to know they were speaking of the same place? It was a miracle she could even remember it. Out of the blue, "Have you ever played tricks on her while she's asleep? She looks like a heavy sleeper..."
The twins shook their heads. They hadn't had time for many jokes yet. They hadn't even explored all of their new home yet. They'd even gotten lost in the kitchen for half an hour.
"And Big bro Solo said she might lock us in a closet if we try anything," said Casper.
"We don't know if he was lying or not," said Cyrus, looking at his twin. The two hadn't been able to make heads or tails of some of the members of their family. "But we still got time, we thinks."
Casper smirked, "And then there's the funny people who keep coming. A lot of them can be tricked. Some of them are littlelittle."
With every word, Kaiyumi nodded. The end result was her becoming dizzy and nearly toppling over. This was all very interesting. If she lived with them, those people would be her family too, right? Too bad she probably wouldn't remember them...
"What about poking her with a stick? Have you tried that?"
They nodded, and then grinned.
"We tried that to wake her up this morning. Cyrus even pulled a dustball out from underneath her bed and put it on her nose. She sneezed, but didn't wake up." said Casper.
"We had to jump up and down on her bed to wake her up." The twins were smirking. They'd enjoyed that, although Aylee hadn't. She'd been rather annoyed with the both of them, afterward. They had been surprised that she'd even agreed to take them out.

The twins had actually been making an attempt to keep out of trouble. Even Chaco had begun to get aggrivated by them, a state that was difficult to achieve.
So for the last few days, the two had been toning down their activity. Lure them into a false set of security sort of thing. Unfortunately it wasn't really working. Most of the family was too wise to let it, and the two were starting to get... itchy.
They wanted to play pranks, like usual! Their current state wasn't enjoyable!
This being the way of things, the twins decided to take a trip outside. There was bound to be someone outdoors that they could trick! Their plan began in the middle of the day, while eeryone else was preoccupied with other things. Solo with writing, Chaco with the babies, Aylee with her machines, and Kunny was away again... And no one else really cared what they did.
So without making any attempt to keep quiet, the twins removed themselves from the house, and then from the estate altogether. Casper already knew to keep track of where they went so they wouldn't get lost.
After about half an hour of walking, the two finally came upon a young woman who was looking rather... Well, rather annoyed. She was fiddling with hose that seemed to have developed a knot in it, and she was having trouble undoing it.
The twins ducked behind a bush, watching the woman out of curiosity. As they watched her finally start to untangle it, the two looked at each other and grinned. Casper stood and moved over towards the woman, "Uhm..." He had a cute, sort of helpless look upon his face.
The woman turned and looked at him. "Yes, what is it?" she snapped at him, obviously rather annoyed with her current situation. Up close, she looked to be only about fifteen or sixteen. Well, that meant it might be easier!
"Uhm... I'm lost...?" Casper said in a mix between helpless and hopeful.
She regarded him carefully, then stood up, sweeping some of her long brown hair from her face, "Where do you live?"
"Lost..." Casper said again, his eyes tearing up. As the woman reached down to pat him cautiously on the head, Cyrus crept out from the bushes and ran towards the end of the hose as Casper broke into wails.
"Uhm... uhm. Please don't cry!" said the girl, obviously not used to dealing with children. She ruffled his hair slightly. Behind her back, Cyrus pulled the hose in a bit and started tying a knot into it. He KNEW about knots. He'd watched Kunny tying them into some ropes, and had figured out how to make them really difficult to undo.
Casper wailed on. It was times like this that he was glad that he knew how to cry on cue.
The girl fidgeted, "You... Don't know your parents number, do you? Uhm... Or their address?" How was she supposed to deal with this?!
Finally Cyrus finished, and just in time, too, as he heard Casper's wails start to die down. He set the hose down and then took off back into the bushes, and wriggled through them until he was on the sidewalk.
Casper rubbed away his tears and the woman sighed in relief. "Know phone numbwer," he said.
The girl smiled, "Well good. As soon as I'm almost done with this, and then we'll call your parents and let them come pick you up!" And with that, she sat down and finished getting out the knot.
After that was done, she nodded at Casper and went to hook the hose up to the faucet. As she reached the other end though, she noticed a rather large knot in it, "What...? This wasn't here before!" She turned and looked at Casper who was already running away, headed to the sidewalk, "HEY! WAIT!"
As soon as Casper reached Cyrus, the two took off back towards the mansion, laughing. Well, that was a work well done! They knew it would take the girl at least another hour to get that second knot out.
Perhaps they could forgo playing tricks on their family members for a little while longer...

(( Cross posted to Klaus's and Yasushi's journals ))
It was a long train ride. Klaus hadn't expected it to take this long, and he had spent the last hour trying to figure out reasons why Aylee hadn't let them fly. Then he'd remembered who was actually on this little trip. Casper and Cyrus alone were reasons not to fly.
In fact, Klaus had taken the liberty of locking the two in a compartment adjacent to the one he and Yasushi were currently in. It was the easiest way to keep them out of trouble, and Klaus wasn't really looking forward to dealing with the twins after being locked in a small room for hours on end, but they WERE out of his hair.
He missed Wes. Why had Aylee split them up, anyway? She should know what it's like to be apart from your twin for any amount of time.
Well, it was too late to do anything about it now.
Yasushi was staring out the window, an equally bored look on his face. The other boy was probably so used to being outside that sitting still like this was probably a shock. Well wait until they actually began school. It was all ABOUT sitting still there.
Apparently Yasushi had noticed him staring, "Is there something wrong?"
"No, nothing. I was simply lost in though, that is all."
He wondered what Wes was thinking about right now...
"Hey Klaus?"
Yasushi was watching him. "Yes?"
"I was wondering something. I've... Seen you watching me play soccer sometimes. If you want to play, you should come downstairs. I wouldn't mind the company."
Klaus was silent. He hadn't expected something like that. Of course, he knew that Yasushi had seen him staring on more than one occasion, but he didn't think his cousin would actually mention it. And he didn't really have anything to say in response, so he just kept quiet and stared out the window.
Yasushi seemed to get the point, and also began staring out the window again.
The entire train trip lasted a total of six hours, and Klaus was bored for all of them. He could tell Yasushi had been too. But finally the ride ended with the train pulling into the station, and Klaus moved out of the compartment and unlocked the door to the room he'd put the twins in.
As soon as the lock was released, the door shot open and the twins ran out. Even with them moving, Klaus could see that their clothes were rather ruffled, and their hair was a mess. They must have been wrestling or something similar.
Yasushi tried to stifle a laugh as Klaus glared at the two. Aylee had left him in charge, and until they got to the school he wasn't planning on letting them run amok.
But first... getting on the train. The green haired angel turned to Yasushi, "Keep watch of Casper. I will look after Cyrus. The last thing we need is the two of them getting lost in the station."
Yasushi nodded, and the four exited the train. Klaus immediately grabbed Cyrus's wrist as the boy attempted to run off. A glance backward told him that Yasushi was doing something similar with Casper. Well, at least he was reliable.
Apparently Aylee had arranged for someone to come pick them up at the station, but one glance around made it apparent to Klaus that it was going to be harder to find that person than he'd expected. The station was huge, at least twice the size of the one back home, and Aylee had almost gotten them lost in that one.
Well, they'd better start looking. Fortunately their luggage wasn't too heavy, and once they started moving, Cyrus and Casper settled down as they tried to take in all of the sights.
It took more than half an hour of looking around to find their ride, a nervous looking woman holding a sign that said 'Shiroko boys' on it. Klaus and Yasushi shared a nod and the group moved toward her. The girl perked up at their approach.
"Are... are you Klaus? and... Ya... Sushi?" she asked, obviously hesitant about the pronunciation.
Yasushi smilled at the woman, "I'm Yasu. This is Klaus, Cyrus, and Casper," he nodded to the others in turn.
The woman grinned timidly, "Right. Uhm. I'm Roberta Finch. I'll... uhm. Be your escort. My. Uhm. Car is over here." The woman started to lead the way out of the station.
Klaus shut his eyes and rolled them behind the closed lids while walking. This woman wasn't going to last ten minutes with the two twins. It would be a miracle if they got to the school without crashing.

(( Cross posted like previous post. ))
Yasushi hadn’t been expecting the boarding school to be large, yet it was nothing but. There were four dorm houses, two buildings for the classes, and a library larger than the one in the mansion. Not to mention the multiple sports fields. How much time would he end up spending outside, he wondered.
Well, that wasn’t the first thing that needed to be done. First they needed to be checked in to the school, though Yasu knew that was probably not the best way to word it. Klaus had been silent ever since the car ride here, where he’d spent the better part of the ride trying to keep Cyrus and Casper from causing any problems. Or just getting them to shut up, because that had been difficult too.
The ride itself had been long, or had seemed it. The school was far out in the country, after all. During the ride, Yasushi had questioned the reason for having it so far from anything else, as it could potentially cause problems.
His thoughts aside, the walk from the car to the main office wasn’t very pleasing either. Both Yasushi and Klaus had to keep their eyes on the twins, else they vanish, off to explore on their own. And having the twins vanish would NOT be a good thing.
Finally they arrived at their destination, and Roberta Finch seemed to sag in relief. She’d been tense ever since they had entered the car, though it was a typical reaction from anyone who was in close quarters with the twins. “Through here,” she said and pushed a door open. It led into the secretary’s office, where two women were talking.
The taller of the two had long red hair and was wearing a pink business suit. She had glasses on her nose, and was holding books, papers, and a binder in her arms. The other woman had her short blond hair tied up in a high pony tail, and was leaning back against the secretary’s desk, laughing.
The blond was the first to notice the group, “Oh! Hello,” she said, her laughter stopping and her tone becoming authoritative, “Are you new students? Though I thought there were only supposed to be four?”
Roberta laughed slightly and indicated Yasushi and the others, “These four are the students. I’m simply their escort. Uhm.”
Thinking on it, Roberta’s nervousness reminded Yasu of Chaco. They both had that whole ‘please don’t let me say something wrong’ tone to their speech.
The red haired woman looked the four children over and smiled, “My name is Sarah Winslow, and I’m the art teacher for grades two through five. It’s nice to meet you.” Her eyes wandered to Klaus and Yasushi, “You two look old enough that you’ll be in my class,” they shifted to Cyrus and Casper, “You two, however, will most likely be under the watch of Caroline Maybell, the art teacher for the lower grades.” A smile spread over her lips, “Try not to give her too much grief.”
Perhaps not the best thing to say to the twins, Yasu thought. Upon those words leaving the woman’s lips, he could just HEAR the cogs turning in C&C’s heads.
“Well, I’ll take my leave of you now. I do have a class to teach, after all!” And with a final smile at Yasu an Klaus, the art teacher slipped out past them and out into the hall.
Yasushi’s attention switched back to the blond woman as she moved behind the desk and started looking through her files. For a few minutes everyone was silent (with the exception of the sound of papers shuffling and Roberta shifting from foot to foot incessantly). Finally the blond pulled a few folders out of her stash with a triumphant look on her face, “Here we are!”
“Now lets see, the students today are Cyrus Shiroko and Casper Shiroko,” the twins giggled in response to their names, “Yasushi Shiroko,” Yasu nodded at her when she looked at him, “And Klaus Shiroko,” Klaus showed no reaction.
“It looks like... Three of your are brothers, and... wait, this makes little sense.” The woman went shuffling through the files again.
“Miss, can I explain?” said Yasu, grinning, “I get the feeling you’re confused about our relationship.”
“Well, yes. It says you’re cousins, but...”
“Here’s the thing,” Yasushi said, “My mother, who is also Cyrus and Casper’s mother, is named Aylee Shiroko. Now, Klaus’s guardian is our mother’s twin brother. His name is also Aylee Shiroko. It’s a bit complicated, but that’s the gist of it.”
The woman stared at him for a moment, “Doesn’t that get confusing?”
“Nah. We’ve adapted. Mum is the only one anyone refers to as Aylee. Everyone calls her brother Kunny, to avoid any major confusion.”
“Ah.” She seemed satisfied by this, and put her files back in order, “Certainly not the weirdest arrangement I’ve heard of.” After examining the files for a moment, she nodded and looked at them, “Alright, Cyrus and Casper will be in Miss Carver’s kindergarten homeroom, room B 108, the school building on the left. Klaus and Yasushi will be in Mrs. Wales’s third grade homeroom, room A 217, the school building on the right.”
She shifted a few more files, “You’ll all be in the same dorm, names Symphony House. It can be found on the left, close to the softball field.” Once again she glanced the four students over, “Any questions?”
“Well...” Yasushi stared at her, “I have one.”
“Go ahead.”
“What’s your name? You haven’t told us yet.”
The woman was taken aback, “Oh! My sincerest apologies. My name is Janet Snowe, and I’m the head secretary to the school’s office. You’ll end up meeting the other officials over time, I’m sure.” She offered him a smile, “Is that all?”
“Yes, thank you,” said Yasushi.
“Alright...” she pulled a set of keys out of her drawer, and took three off the ring, “Here are the keys to your dorm rooms. Cyrus and Casper will be in one, and Klaus and Yasushi will be in separate rooms. You two do have room mates, however.” She handed them their respective keys, “Don’t lose these, now. It’s a ten dollar fine if you do.”
Finally she pulled a few brochure-like things out of her desk, “These are maps of the grounds. In it you’ll find a diagram of every floor in every building.” After giving them to the four as well, she smiled at them, “Your classes will begin at eight thirty tomorrow morning. Please don’t be late.”
And with that, Roberta escorted them out of the office.

Yasushi and Klaus had escorted the twins to their dorm room and left them there, apparently wanting nothing more to do with the brats, now that they could be rid of them. This, of course, suited the twins just fine. They were happy to be able to do what they wanted for once.
True, they did have a fair amount of reign over their household, even though everyone tried to keep them in check. Here, however, their only family were glad to shove them off on their own! Oh happy day!
They actually ended up spending the first half an hour exploring their room, then trying to figure out who would get the top bunk. It ended up being Cyrus (big surprise there), and finally they were ready to venture out and see the world!
Or at least the campus. But hey, to six year olds, this place was big! After all, it was about triple the size of the estate, and they had yet to finish exploring home, even!
First task: Find the cafeteria. It had been a long ride, and one completely devoid of any nourishment. Even at the station they hadn’t been able to get away long enough to grab food.
After studying their map, the two exited the room, and began to wander around. There were a lot of other people here, in fact more than were at home even! But none of them came to talk to the twins, despite some odd looks they were given. Finally after a suggestion by Casper, the two managed to turn the correct way and find the mess hall.
They had never been somewhere like this before, that was sure. There was a line to get food, and so many people! Never had the two seen so many people in one place before. For a good five minutes they stood and watched, until someone finally shoved them out of the way.
Well, they needed food, so they might as well join the line!
Once they were standing in it, it seemed to move quickly. Soon they reached the platters, and started to collect food. It was probably a bad thing that the twins were so hungry, as they had soon piled more of the delicious-looking food on their plates than they could carry. This was a problem. For more reasons than weight, as they found out as they approached the woman at the register.
She surveyed their food with a shocked look upon her face, then looked at the two, a likewise confused look upon her face. After a few moments of staring, she said, “Excuse me, and you two are?”
“We’re Cyrus,”
“And Casper,”
“Shiroko,” they said, wording each other’s sentences.
“We’re new!” the one assumed to be Cyrus said. “And hungry!”
“Well...” The woman looked over their food again, “Unfortunately, students are only allowed a certain amount to spend per day on food. Outside of that, they have to spend their own money on food.”
The twins shared a look. They had heard nothing about this! After a moment, Cyrus looked back at the woman, “So we gotta put it all back?”
“Uhm. Well, not all of it?” said the woman uncertainly. She was looking up their names in the computer in front of her, “Let me see. Shiroko... Cyrus and Casper, here you are. Combined you’re allowed a daily budget of fifty dollars.” She looked at them, “A little higher than most your age, but I suppose,” she glanced at all the food they had taken, “it’s for good reason.”
It took a good few minutes, and the assistance of the woman, for the two to figure out what fill them, and still have left enough money over for them to have dinner than night.
Finally, and with significantly lighter trays, the two headed off into the forest of tables to find some place to sit. It took a while, because most of the tables were packed, but finally they found a mostly empty table, and the two pulled up chairs and started eating.
The food was as good as what Solo made, although not as extravagant. It was obvious that their older brother wanted to experiment, however, and expand what sorts of dishes he could make. The school, on the other hand, stuck to what they knew, and to what could be made simply and quickly. And what would appeal to a lot of people.
But although it was different, the twins found that they had finished their meals within ten minutes, and, while no longer hungry, were in need of something new to do.
So they threw out their trash, placed their trays in the tray bin, and left the cafeteria.
The school’s grounds weren’t anywhere near as fancy as their home’s were. There were no giant flower gardens, no jungle-like trees and plants, no koi pond. It was rather boring, actually.
In fact, it was so boring that after less than an hour of wandering, the two returned to their room in the dorm. They hadn’t been there less than ten minutes when there was a knock upon the door.
Once again the twins shared a look, but this one was more of a challenge than anything else. Their gaze held for almost five seconds before Casper ‘lost’ and got up and opened the door. Cyrus was soon behind him, and they looked out at a young boy about their own age, peeing at them.
Cyrus was the first to speak, “Who’re you?”
The boy smiled, “I’m Ken!” It was a simple answer, but it worked for the twins. They grinned and pulled him into the room.
“We’re Cyrus and Casper!” said Casper cheerfully.
Ken stared at them for a bewildered second, then grinned again, “Nice ta meetcha!”
The start of a beautiful friendship.
