Zahi brushed through the foliage with ease, only a little surprised at how dark it was, since it didn't look like it should be that dark. The foliage up above must be very thick. And if it was so thick, then that meant that the lands were good, and the trees flourishing. It was a very comforting thought, and seemed to parallel with the land's owner. Hmm.
"Ah, well," the purple maned lion started. "Very deep down south, to the point where you can't go much more south. I lived there with a band of lioness', but they kicked me out once my mane started to grew. Damn beasts. So I've been wanderin' for a while, really. The ocean up here is nicer, warmer then my homeland." He decided to not grump too much about his past, since it could turn the other off, but there was still a bitterness towards the band that had kicked him out for merely being male. And women acted like males were sexist! Pah.

Ani made general noises of interest, the occasional grunt here and there for a while,and then stopped rather suddenly, though he was at least far enough away from Zahi that he wouldn't be bumped into, and then turned to look at him. "Ah've go' summat to ask ye, new acquaintance," He paused, lifting a brow and waiting a moment longer, locking his eyes onto Zahi's, "If ah show ye whar my home be, an I offer ye a home thar as well, wha' woul' ye say? See, ah be gettin' pritty lone back thar la'ly, an ah've bin thinkin' could use some han's 'round tha ship." He said, quirking his brow further and then flexing his claws into the thick soil beneath his paws.
The old pirate was incredibly curious to see what Zahi would say, though he was almost guaranteed a yes, as he knew the other lion would have noticed by now how healthy his lands were, and also considering the fact that he'd just mentioned being kicked out of his previous homelands. Who wouldn't want an opportunity to make a new home, in a vast and game-filled land, with benefits of treasure, that Zahi did not yet know of?
