Eisel jumped slightly at Lintana's comment, having been rather fascinated by the Weyrwoman's prolonged silence. "Er...yes," she replied instinctively, not really meaning anything by it. "I suppose you should...rescue him?" she continued, a bit thrown off in general.
Moffet crooned and nipped T'lir's finger gently before launching herself at Perth. She was not to be soothed by her rider's honeyed words. T'lir yelped at the twinge of pain. "Shards, Moffet," he cursed under his breath. She squawked brilliantly and began beating at Perth with her wings, managing to stay in the air at the same time.

Lintana swiftly moved passed Eisel and headed towords Saterth. She felt for Perth. He is attacking Haelieth's rider. A few weyrs down. Was Saterth quick reply to her riders stress. Lintana sighed as she threw a leg over Saterths neck and patted her gently with love. "It will definatly be fast with you love," Lintana spoke softly to Saterth. She grinned once more at Eisel before Saterth jumped off her ledge. She made sure she had the skin with the weyrs on it, it was just a good of a time as ever to get everyones information. Saterth glided down with ease onto the Bronze riders ledge.
Perth avoided Moffet and dived at T'lirs head. He pulled at his hair. Sqwuaking even louder. He sqwuaked in defiance at Moffet.

Z'Arian wandered aimlessly for a bit looking for the owner of the new little noise maker. He was looking at his feet making a mental note to shine his boots when he almost ran head first into N'lor. He stumbled and was releived when the gold fire lizard landed on his shoulder. "Hey, you little queen was saying hi and I figured I'd bring her back." Ara, settle yourself now. Come here! Ara zoomed around a bit more before bowing to Z'Arian's wishes and landing uncerimoniously on his arm.

N'lor laughed a bit sheepishly. He scractched the small eyeridges of Tanner as he looked at the other rider. Tanner crooned softly and rubbed her small head against N'lors cheek. He kpet seeing pictures of their new weyrwomen in Tanners mind. "I do so beleive that we are needed by the Weyrwomen..."

Eisel ran to the edge of the weyr ledge as Lintana and Saterth disappeared over the side. She drew in a deep breath at the sudden height of the stone protuberance and stepped back a bit. Caught up in the excitement of the moment, she involuntarily summoned Umbrielth. The gold landed gracefully on Saterth's ledge, looking a bit uncomfortable, and eyed her rider questioningly. Eisel laughed and vaulted quickly to Umbrielth's back. To our weyr, dearheart!, she crowed mentally, whooping as Umbrielth dropped off the ledge into a dizzying fall that just barely cleared the other ledges. Eisel caught a brief glimpse of someone's startled face as they shot by weyr after weyr, plummeting down. She let go of the riding harness with her hands and clung only with her legs, letting her arms trail behind her. All of a sudden, the ground was shockingly close and a shriek choked in Eisel's throat, making her cough. Umbrielth drew up sharply, her wingtips nearly stroking the sparse grass of the Bowl. Then they were racing back upwards, as though shot from a catapult. Eisel wrapped her arms around her queen's neckspikes as the wind made tears stream from her eyes. After a few minutes of acrobatics and flourishes in the sky, Umbrielth circled slowly back to the floor of the Bowl. As Eisel clambered shakily down from the gold's back, she staggered to one side. This isn't our weyr, she had the presence of mind to note. Umbrielth wasn't paying attention. The huge queen thrummed with vibrant gold and had begun to emit a low humming from deep in her chest. Her eyes swirled with deep, rich tones of red and purple, and alternating waves of nausea and ecstasy washed over Eisel. She moaned and sank to her knees, confusion blurring her thoughts.

Lintana heard the humming and Saterth's mumble proved what Lintana had been thinking as they both looked down at Umbrieth. "Shards! Oh all the times to mate....I'll never be able to get the bronzes information if they all go into a frenzy with blooding their kills..." She shook her head and had Saterth take her down to Eisel. Saterth quickly shot back up to her own weyr once Lintana was safetly on the ground. They certainly didn't need the queens to start off on a bad foot. As Lintana came quickly to kneel by Eisel she saw the five of the seven Bronzes of the weyr swoop down as one, their riders stumbling off their dragons, just before their dragons went for the herd beasts. The blooding had begun. The riders had gathered around Eisel. "Alight Eisel, you must not let Umbrieth eat her kills, she can only have their blood. You must keep her here. Do not let her go between." She whispered calmly into Eisel's ear.

Eisel shook her head blindly as Lintana told her something and Umbrielth roared in the background. She clutched at the grass beneath her as though it were her last tie to familiarity. Lintana's gentle command penetrated the muddle of her own thoughts and Umbrielth's rampant emotions. Don't go between, she thought blankly, mulling it over for a minute before it really registered. Umbrielth, she cried mentally. Don't go between! The gold roared again and swooped down on a squealing herdbeast, ravaging it's soft belly with her claws in a single swipe. Eisel clung harder to the grass as the queen's head dipped toward the spilling entrails. No, she ordered as strongly as she could. Umbrielth roared defiance and her tongue licked out testingly. No! Eisel commanded again, and this time Umbrielth obeyed. She reluctantly blooded the kill, lifting her blood-stained snout from the carcass to pounce on another herdbeast, and another after that. Eisel relaxed slightly as it became apparent that Umbrielth understood the necessity of not gorging herself, but somewhere in the back of her mind, a small voice was whispering bad thoughts. She began shivering uncontrollably, her strong sense of imagination casting fear of what came next into her heart. What if Umbrielth chose a bronze whose rider was mean, or even just much too old? She wouldn't be able to show her face without shame...
But then, just as violently as these doubts had taken hold of her mind, they were swept away by a new wave of feeling. Umbrielth's emotions were growing stronger, crescendoing to a climax as the gold dragon burst from the ground in a colossal sweep of wings. The sense of freedom and boundless joy at the flight sent Eisel reeling, feeling utterly drunk on the moment. She fought desperately to stay with the dragon, but her fear held her back, where her fingers wound tightly into the grass. A ray of enlightenment touched her and she released her grip on the grass, dispelling her fears for the time being. As she did, her soul moved up to join Umbrielth's so that they were one, leading the dramatic race through the skies.

OoC|| Forgive my lack of self-control. I wax very eloquent at tradtional places in the roleplay. Hatchings, Risings, deaths...yeah. I'm good at the dramatic stuff. In any case, I will attempt to thin down my posts a bit next time.

T'lir gasped as Haelieth shot into the air after Umbrielth, giving his soul entirely to his dragon to carry up to the heavens in pursuit of the queen. Haelieth/T'lir sped upwards with great sweeps of the wings, powering through the air to the highest reaches of the world. A burst of speed carried them ahead of the pack of bronzes, only to fall back in a moment. Haelieth pumped his wings harder, catching up. There was no catching up, however, to the queen. She was far ahead, a glittering gold shape flirting and spiralling across the sky. Haelieth/T'lir eyed the other bronzes, measuring them up with a few quick glances.

N'lor more felt than heard Kernths hum. Kernths mind was filling with the emotion of witnessing his first matting flight. N'lor felt strange. Something was undoubtably wrong with Kernth. N'lor looked up and Kernth to se ehim sitting on his ledge, watching the flight with anticipation. N'lor felt Kernths own disires become his own. How desprately they both wanted to up there, to fly with the queen...N'lor shook his head. Kernth...what's wrong...you are not supposed to fly queens? But N'lors thought was left to fall on a deft mind. Kernth was tottering in place, his wings fully stretched. N'lor became fearful, what if the queen came too close to Kernth...would he really rise to fly with a queen?...How much trouble would that put him in?...Would the exertion put on his brown do harm to him...or worse? N'lor needed someone to ask all his questions to and fast! He needed someone to tell him how to control Kernth...He wasn't sure how much longer Kernth would just sit in anticipation on the ledge.

Lintana was too consumed with Eisel to notice the brown that was tottering on the ledge way above them. She picked up Eisel and set her own her feet, hoping she would be able to support herself. "And I need to get you into the chambers..." Lintana, not looking of the strength, picked Eisel up at the shoulders and proceded to walk to teh chambers that were ment just for mating flights. SHe had to keep herself from laughing as the rest of the bronze riders followed without thought, all of them to embodied with their dragons to notice they were moving.

Z'Arian felt a tug at his mind and suddenly realized what was going on. He frowned as Vrätoth pulled hard on his mind. Following Eisel and Lintana to the chambers, the swordsmen gave his dragon all the strength he could, knowing that the bronze couldn't get anywhere without him. Fly! He saw the bronze dragon pulse through the sky, trying to catch up to the other few dragons that had a slight lead on him. Vrätoth slammed his wings hard, trying to impress the queen. Z'Arian's mind roared with excitement, rage, and anxiety as his companion struggle. For the first time in ages, his hand left the hilt of his sword.

Umbrielth/Eisel made another lazy loop through the clouds, glancing behind her slyly at the bronzes laboring to catch up to her. She executed a barrel roll and plunged straight down, using her wings only to guide her. The rush of wind made her dizzy with bliss. She was powerful, more powerful than the bronzes who so arrogantly sought to claim her! They would never, never catch her! A roar of defiance and eager freedom erupted from her throat, echoing around the vastness of the sky.
