I read the manga but Ive never watched the anime so is the anime any good? and is it different from the manga?

Been reading the manga lately, and... Wow.
Original vampire, for once (they don't need to be shiny to be good rolleyes ) and the way the normal vampire family deals with Karin's many problems is well-played too.
