i thought it was a pretty good movie one of my favourite quotes:
Agent Sands: El, you really must try this because it's puerco pibil. It's a slow-roasted pork, nothing fancy. It just happens to be my favorite, and I order it with a tequila and lime in every dive I go to in this country. And honestly, that is the best it's ever been anywhere. In fact, it's too good. It's so good that when I'm finished, I'll pay my check, walk straight into the kitchen and shoot the cook. Because that's what I do. I restore the balance to this country. And that is what I would like from you right now. Help keep the balance by pulling the trigger. El Mariachi: You want me to shoot the cook?
Agent Sands: No. I'll shoot the cook. My car's parked out back, anyway

When i saw this movie i thought that it was a sequel to desparato since it had the same back ground and with antinio bandares with the same girl as in desparato when Johnny was telling the story or someone was it really felt like the sequel of desparato.
Johnny depp was awesome in the movie. the creppy part was when he had his eyes taken out of him. I love the jokes he made. "are you a mexican or a mexican't " is timeless. lol
The whole movie was awesome in my personal opinion.

I loved Depp in OUTIM, but I hated the movie. I've seen Desperado and absolutely love that movie! (the movie before OUTIM)....OUTIM messed up as it's sequal, but kudoos to Depp.

heart biggrin when watching the movie OUTIM it was kind of confusing in a sense. merely because it didn't really tie into desperado at all... only the scenes it had and everything...however Antonio played well his role as he did in desparado. It was quite similer and simply love both movies.

mad_sparrow sands is the man. i want to be him when i grow up. heh heh. a really cool performance on depp's part. his brando impersonations always make me chuckle. ho ho. hee hee. gotta love antonio and selma. and willem dafoe THE EVIL MEXICAN! buwah. "i can't see, f*ckmook, i have no eyes!" = best line in the whole movie. lots of great one liners by our favorite anti-hero, agent sands. I wanted to be him, too. Except for the whole losing my eyes thing...

angel_of_joy the other day i was in the mall at one of the novelty stores and i found a belt with a marajana leaf on it and the first thing that came to my mind was this movie! i came home later and watched it and saw the belt in the movie and laughed! Even more the reason to watch this film.

i actually didn't see all of once upon a time in mexico, it was on HBO, i turned on the tv... and five minutes later i saw johnny depp about to get his eyes popped out.
i switched the channel. ten minutes later i saw johnny depp with sunglasses (eyes popped out) and then i switched the challen within three minutes.
great movie, really.

I saw Once Upon A Time In Mexico a few days ago-- I had been dying to see it for a loooong time. Although I got confused mid-point (everyone kept on going against each other and I kind of got lost...), I loved Agent Sands, such an interesting role! He added humour and quirkiness to the movie! ^^ My sister, who isn't too much of a Johnny Depp fan, even admitted that she couldn't wait for him to come on screen during the whole movie! xD
