"It's not!" He protested, feeling himself get flustered despite himself. Angry at him, he let out a rather colorful string of curse words. From the other room, a 'Wow' could be heard from Kitsumi, and then a scuffling noise and a, 'Kitsumi, don't eavesdrop!'.
Raising his brows, the Kitsusagi shrugged his shoulders. "Have you honestly ever asked her if she's happy or not? I don't see what she wouldn't be happy about." He stated, flatly. "And Kitsumi may be nice, but that doesn't take away the fact that's she's not very smart. And...not exactly, though I suppose that you can say that."

The kitsusagi winced slightly as his floppy ears caught the words his father was uttering. "Oh come on, it's not that bad."
"Mom always pretends." Xanul said simply. "But she has lots of troubles, inside her, I know. I'm her son, dad." He sighed, shaking his dark-haired head. "Well, I..." His sentence trailed off as he caught sight of the moon now hovering in the sky, the faint glow trailing down through the open door and on his body. Feeling himself shuddering involuntarily, Xanul gasped as he felt something seem to grow inside him. "What the hell?" He yelled, writhing in shock.

"Not bad?" Saix muttered, "That's certainly easy for you to say." He replied, irritably.
Listening to Xanul, the male opened his mouth to reply when he caught sight of the shudder. Clamping his mouth shut abruptly, his eyebrows came together as he frowned. "Xanul, what is..." He trailed off as his gaze fell towards the open door, and then the moon. Cursing, he stood up. "Xanul, don't give into it, goddamnit!"

Hearing this from the other room, Edgeworth and Kitsumi hurried into the room, flinching a little as they caught sight of the writhing Kitsusagi. "What's wrong?!" Kitsumi yelped, ears laid back as she started towards them quickly.

Terrified, the half Nobody yelled back. "Give in to what?!" Fear seeped through him; he had never experienced this before. Ever. It scared him. It wasn't even the full moon, dammit! He shuddered as he felt his strength grow in him and stumbled back, falling out through the door without even a yelp. It was like he couldn't control himself, but he saw everything through his eyes. "Dad? Mom!"
Back in the library, Ayako's head jerked up from the book she was reading, heart pounding in her chest. Something was wrong. She wasn't sure exactly what but...Xanul. She thought wildly, remembering the nights he spent unasleep. Oh dear god, no. She didn't know what would happen, she just knew it was bad. Apparating into the scene, she spun to face Saix, gasping. "What...what happened? And...Xanul?" She didn't seem to be able to string her words together properly, she was so very afraid.

Saix wasn't sure how exactly to respond. It wasn't exactly something he had ever intended on telling his kids - not that he told them much in general - and it seemed to late to mention it now. "Just relax!" He growled, ears laid back, "Try to calm down!"
Sensing someone apparate, his gaze flickered briefly to the Kitsusagi beside him as Kitsumi yelled, 'Ayako!' in surprise. Instead of responding to her question however, he roughly shouldered Ayako back behind him, standing firmly so that Kitsumi couldn't get past him. "Stay back," He warned, "Or better yet, get Edgeworth to get you two out of here. It's not very safe right now."

Xanul's head jerked back towards the door of the house, hearing his mother's voice. Mother? He wanted to say, but the words got stuck in his throat. Help me. Please! It was really hard to calm down when such...power was growing in him. He was just to scared to think, and had utterly no idea how he was to calm his nerves.
"What?!" Ayako yelled, slightly surprised that Saix did care. Perhaps he was going soft after all...but still! That was her...their son out there! And from the looks of it, it wasn't good. A determined look crossed her features as the witch apparated out. "Even if it's not safe, he's my son!"

Skidding to a halt to gape at the scene before her, the empath couldn't help but drop the calm mask her face always held. "Xanul? Where are..." Before she could finish her sentence, however, her son suddenly slammed down, right in front of her, throwing her off her balance and backwards, right into a tree. Her head slammed right into the hard trunk, knocking her unconscious. That wasn't the only injury she suffered, however. One of her little wings hung limply, broken from the impact and a few of her ribs were broken. Even though she was a healer, she was unconscious, and it rather hindered her powers.

Surveying the damage before him, Xanul felt horrified. He had just...knocked out his mom, but he couldn't manage to force himself to go over to her, to help her, to do something. It was almost as if...Lune was taking over him again. The energy in him was demanding to be let go, and he could do nothing about it.

Claws clicked as they scraped against bone, blue orbs diming, as the Reaper slowly scratched his maw. If the skeleton was actually itchy or not was unknown (though it was most likely not), yet the male scratched anyways. His bone grey decaying ears fliped up, as a loud sound echoed though the air. His scythe shifted in the tangle of his three boney tails as he canted his head to the side. The Reaper was an extreamly curious being.
Slowly the walking skeleton made his way towards the area the sound had emitted from, the orbs within his skull peering curiously. Dispite the casual walk, the Reaper reached the scene with good timing. The spark of curiousity growing within him as he spotted what had been the cause. "Xanul." he uttered though still a little ways off from the current scene, his scythe lowering behind him. His skull turned, as he eyed the female who seemed to be unconscious by a tree. His gaze turned once more to glance at the two others near the kit he had met not that long ago...or had it been long ago? Either way the kit seemed to have grown. Slowly the Reaper sat down, his tails curling around his side, scythe still entangled in it.

Growling to himself as Ayako protested, he replied sharply, "But he's not acting like the son you know right now, is he? Get away from here, right now! Take everyone else with you!"
Seeing Ayako move towards Xanul, the male dashed forward, ready to jerk her back. However, he was too late as the poor female was send slamming into a tree. From behind him, he could hear Kitsumi yell, "Ayako!', and the sound of running. A small instinct told him that he should go to Ayako - to help her - but it was something he had to ignore for the time being. Not while Xanul was still like this, and other Kitsusagi were around.

While turning back to face his son, Saix caught a small flicker of movement. Glancing from the corner of his eye, a dark frown spread itself over at the sight of another Kitsusagi, whose features he couldn't quite make out in the distance and the lighting. "You!" He yelled, his voice taking on the commanding tone, "Get out of here right now!"

Meanwhile, Kitsumi had dashed towards Ayako, her ears laid back. Wimpering pitifully, she stood there helplessly, not sure what to do. What if she hurt her further by trying to move her? Hearing hurried steps behind her, she turned to see Edgeworth, a rather grim and shaken look on his face.

Well, of course he wasn't. Still no matter what, to the mother, the one who had carried the eggs, gave birth to them, watched them hatch...all her children had a deep bond to her. It was a motherly thing to do, probably. Which was why Ayako hadn't blamed Xanul before for throwing sharp words at her when he was emotionless. It was too late to say anything else though. Where the petite kitsu lay, a slight healing glow, more of a flicker, really, had surrounded the hurt areas, but blood was already seeping from the back of her head, where she had crashed into the tree.
Xanul's eyes had flickered towards the newcomer and a gleam of recognition shone in his golden eyes. Ah yes, the Grim Reaper. Interesting that he was to be here. The half-Nobody thought. "You do know, father." He began teasingly, a small flick of his dark tails, his empath powers taking over his emotions. "That is Death. The Grim Reaper. Funny, eh?"

The Reaper blinked as he was told to leave, orbs eyeing the male with the blue hair. Grim seemed to mull over the idea for while, before pushing himself back up onto his feet. No he really did not wish to leave just yet, and things seemed to be rather interesting here. Dispite the tense feeling the air. "Ah. Well-" he had begun, pausing as Xnaul had called the male with blue hair father.
Blue orbs shifted, glancing from one male to the other. Ah, yes there was a resemblance. Lifting his scythe slightly (though still keeping it rather close to the ground), Death began to move in close. He streched his toes, the shrill sound of them snapping and cracking like shattered bones and glass echoing into the air. "I'm not quite sure my being is...funny. Ironic, perhaps." he shruged, responding to the teasing comment the boy had made to his father. "But regard it as you wish."

His attention then turned back to the female by the tree, who now had the two others by her. Sitting upon his haunches once more, he dug into his robe, pulling out an hourglass, before looking it over and placing it back within his robes. He did this once more, with another hourglass, with a slight twitch of an ear. "Hmmmmmm."

There was no giveaway soft pop as a lone kitsu appeared on the scene. His baby blue eyes were bright and cheerful against the backdrop of light chocolate fur with a framing of auburn long bangs on either side of his face to see that he was indeed in the right place. His red and gold scarf were not even swaying from the teleportation.
"Hey Xanul! Trel said I had to get over to Saix's right away so Pete-..." Chocolate tails stilled in their happy wag to see his nephew seeing grim faces and well... Grim. His tails stopped and the brightness in his eyes dimmed. "What's wrong? What hap..." He was still looking around when he spotted her. Those bright and innocent baby blues going wide even as he started running to his crumpled sister's side. "Ayako!!!"

Hemi did not even seem to see the others with her anymore. He could feel the glow of her healing power, trying to automatically work. Wasn't her self healing stronger than this, subconsciously? Or... Hemi's own glow sprang from him like a torch, reaching for Ayako as he reached her side and tears rained upon her fur... or was she hurt that much beyond what her innate healing could handle. "Ayako... Sis!! Hang in there. Oh God. Just hang in there..." He did not need to see the blood pooling behind her head to know how bad off Ayako was. His healing gift glowing around the two of them ... Hemi now knew everything that was wrong with her. She would need blood. And he did not have a bottle of blood restorative with him...

It could wait. She needed healing first. Blood came with recovery... oh God... let me be soon enough... let me have the strength and skill needed...

((Mel said I could hop in.... hope that's acceptable. *hugs all*))

[[ 8D But of course. And sorry for the wait for the post, Mel. *totally out of it during weekdays* ]]
Growling softly at his son's comment, Saix's golden eyes narrowed. "I don't see anything funny about it. Besides, it's not as if he's here to claim a soul today, because no one will die today. No one." He glanced at Ayako, Kitsumi, and Edgeworth briefly, a small voice in his head murmuring, 'Especially not my family', before he turned to look at Xanul once more. Xanul was also family, however, and Saix had no real intention to hurt the younger male. He was willing to knock out his son if it came to that, however.

His ears gave an irritated flick as he noticed the Kitsusagi, who had been introduced as the Grim Reaper, had not left yet. He grew further irritated, as another Kitsusagi appeared in the scene. 'Just more people to protect!' He thought, 'I don't care what he does, as long as he stays out of my way.'

Kitsumi shied back as the new Kitsusagi rushed over to Ayako. "W-who are you?!" She demanded, her ears flat on her head as she sat protectively beside her friend. This hesitantance turned to concern a moment later however, as she noted the soft glow that surrounded them, and the frightened look on his face. "A relative?" Edgeworth suggested softly, behind her.

He shrugged his shoulders, golden eyes not leaving his father, although they flickered to Grim in curiosity and landed on the hourglass. A slight smirk passed his features, as if he understood what it meant, but then again, perhaps he did. Xanul could be quite a smart boy if he could, especially now that he wasn't clouded with emotions. "I didn't know you cared, daddy dearest." He almost spat, dark tails flicking as he arched an eyebrow. "Pray tell, why now?"
He didn't care of course. Not now, not at this moment, but perhaps later. After some debate in his mind, he decided not to tell Saix that he knew Uncle Hemi was here to help Ayako, help heal her. He could find that out himself later.

Perhaps why Ayako was weaker now was that her thoughts were focused mainly on her son, full of worry and fear, that her healing powers were struggling to kick in. As her younger brother's glow reached her though, his presence seemed to relax her and her own glow sprang forward, brightening slowly.

The Reaper's muzzle rose into the air, in almost a smug fashion. "Rather bold of you to make such a statement." his dark voice uttered, the glow in his eyes diminishing making it seem as though the blue orbs had never been floating around in his skull in the first place. "I wasn't aware that you had say over who died." his tails cracked, his sctyhe standing more upwright behind him now. It wasn't up to Xanul's father, it wasn't up the kid, it wasn't up to anyone there. It wasn't even up to the skeleton with the scythe. Grim may have finalized deaths and did sometimes kill before it was one's time, but when someone's time was up that was that. He just did his job, he didn't chose when those with time would run out of it. Of course that didn't ment that he didn't, every now and then, change things.
"Not to rain on your little game, or whatever it is they say, but you can not fight the will be's. And if one is to run out of time here, then it will happen. You really have no say in the matter what-so-ever." Death's voice was...well grim. "And should a will be happen this night then I do belive I need, stick around." With that said, the tiny glowing blue orbs returned in his eye sockets. Whatever the reason had been for their diminishing had passed now, and the Reaper's tone had lightened somewhat. Perhaps he felt a bit of remorse, but it was rather hard to tell.

Hemi was barely conscious of anything other than his sister. He practically ignored the Reaper, other than to swear in his heart that he would do all he could to see that this day was not Ayako's time. It was not time to ponder how many beings' 'times' were determined factoring in those that would help... and those that chose not to try their best. "Hang in their Sis..."
At least now her healing was strengthening. He could sort the things his ears had picked up at least. File. File...wait. "'m Hemi..." Spoken softly, just more than like a sleeptalker might. "A'yo's baby brother..."

She would need blood. Hemi would call for their father to bring the potion as soon as Ayako was healed. He of course did not think of the danger... nor have a notion that it was Xanul that had done this. Though... if he gave pause to think about it... his nephew was holding himself different. And why was he not with Ayako? They were very close.

But all of the healer-wizard's thoughts were on the healing.
