He doesnt shoot the dog....he has to strangle her to death. It's soooo sad!!! I was with some friends from work and I was about to explode in tears but I managed to hold myself back. I felt all gloomy for the next 2 days after that lol

why didn't he shoot it? Well I think he didn't have his gun on him or there wasn't enough time to reach it. Do you know why he had to kill his dog? Or you just know he killed her?

ok well they get attacked like everyone else....they don't show it but you sort of have to use you imagination. Like when they were leaving is the point when everyone goes insane. Some people jump on the leaving helicopters to try and escape but that only makes them crash which would either lead to them dying in the crash or they get attacked by those things (cause it was at night when they were leaving).
Oh and to answer your question before he didnt shoot Sam because well he had just gave her an injection you know hoping it was the cure and well as we can see it doesnt work. He starts seeing her lose hair, her gums are bloody red and her eyes stop dilating and everything. Then "turned" Sam tries to bite his face off (and like he had her sitting on his lap so he couldn't go and reach for his gun) and he was left to strangle her cry omg that moment killed me....you really don't want to see that scene. It's so sad, he lost his only friend. crying He starts going insane after that.
