Mioyo sighed, snuggling into Bodaway softly.
"I lost a son... I don't know if he lives or not."
She looked up quietly, looking for some kind of consolation. All she wanted right now... Was to be close to him.

"We both lost a son..." He sat, allowing her a place to lean. The moment seemed to drag on, but he minded not. It was a nice moment, one he was loath to end. As the sun started to set, he pondered if he should go back to the desert. A glance at Mioyo made the choice hard to make.
Practically bouncing back, Kohpi rubbed against Mioyo. "Momma, I met lotsa new lions today!" She paused, looking up at Bodaway. "Hi again, mister desert lion! Are you mean? 'Cause somebody told me desert lions are mean, and you don't seem mean at all!" She bubbled with what seemed eternal youth, never missing a beat in her happy life.

Mioyo studied Kohpi several minutes, then smiled, looking up to Bodaway, then her daughter.
"No, he's not mean at all. He's a good strong lion." She smiled, then nuzzled Kohpi lovingly.
"Wnhy not tell your sister of your new friends? She's in the pridal lands," Mioyo gestured with a paw. "Recovering from a fight."
She purred, leaning on Bodaway.
"We'd like some alone time."

Bodaway let out a sighing smile. "I'm sorry, Mioyo... I should get back to the Motoujamii... They'll wonder what I'm up to if I stay away too long, and I don't fancy being beaten and kicked out of the pride I just found again." He looked to Kohpi, licking her forhead. "And you... Little daughter... Shouldn't you sleep? So late for one such as yourself to be up."
Little daughter? Was he refering to HER as HIS daughter? Red eyes brightened as she rubbed against him, murmuring something akin to "daddy" before heading for the den she shared with Mioyo. Pausing, she looked back. "Goodnight, Momma! Goodnight, Daddy!" She then slipped in, going to bed.

Mioyo looked up, giving Bodaway a quiet look before sighing, licking his cheek once more.
Perhaps he -hadn't- forgiven her....
Mioyo however, hid her fear, smiling.
"Alright. We'll be... Here." She rubbed against him again, before moving to follow Kohpi to the den, aiming to sleep herself.

Rubbing her a bit, he purred, then watched her go. Sighing heavily, he turned and headed home. Tail flicking, he pondered how things had gone. Maybe she wasn't happy he'd had cubs with another. He shook his head, mulling it over in a way that, for the wrong lion, would have proven self-destructive. Not him, though. He was too proud. Looking to the darkening sky, he said a silent prayer to Finar-si, then continued on his way.
