Hunting, was it? The youngest question as she looked over to her other sisters, the glee of the idea reflecting off them as well as she showed it - even if she still looked half asleep. The stories she heard about hunting always perked her curiousity, and made her dream wild dreams that would have her kicking in the dust of the waking world.

Before answering, though, she gave a little attitude with sticking out her tongue at her sisters who dared call her a sleepy head, or lazy. So what if she liked rest, it was good for the soul - and her soul felt wonderful today. She felt like taking on everything. "Hunting sounds interesting. You always make it look and sound so interesting, and fun!" She answered, as the bath from two directions finished, she felt remarkably cleaner, and smelt of her family. Something that kept her warm in her heart.

"Besides, it looks like a nice day."

Lumusi didn't care too much about the rules her mother set down. Especially right now, they were all so vulnerable. Caution now, risks later. She constantly reminded herself before the tight restrictions drove her crazy. She wanted to live on the wild side but for now, she would be an obedient little daughter.

The little cub rolled her eyes back at Kamaria and turned to look at her mother. "Yes, of course. So, are we going?" Lumusi yawned lazily and looked back out to the opening of the cave. The world looked so big... she could only hope that someday she would be able to explore the entire world. She nodded at Alama, "Yes, it does look like a nice day."

Raising a brow slightly at Kamaria's question, Lumusi did wonder why she looked so much like her mother and... her sisters did not. It was all together too strange. And when she thought about this, she began to wonder who her father was too but she knew better then to ask about him. If her mother didn't tell them on her own will, then it was probably best that they didn't know about him.

Zuri couldn't help but to feel that her daughters may be annoyed with her tight rules and restrictions. Hopefully one day they will realize that she is setting these rules for their own good, so that they don't make the same foolish mistakes that she made in her own youth. At the same time, she also couldn't help but feel sad that they don't have the luxury of freedom of available to them. But Zuri had an idea in her head, but first: a hunting lesson.
"Well, we should get moving then, follow along closely girls," said Zuri, doing her best to dodge her daughter's question about their appearances. She didn't really want to discuss the truth about their father. She knew she could only dodge the bullet for so long, but the longer the better. "We'll be going to a small field where many rabbits live. Rabbits are fairly easy to catch for hunting and make for good practice."

"I'm ready mommy!" exclaimed Nyonda, trying to grab her mother's undying attention. "Kamaria isn't the one that's ready, she's the one asking silly unimportant questions." Nyonda laughed at her own rude behavior, finding herself to be a hilarious young cub. Rushed with sudden excitement, she hurried over to her youngest sister, Alama. "Good morning Alama! How was your sleep?"
Noticing that her mother had started to move and lead them on to the hunting field, Nyonda started to slowly follow after, but held back enough to still stand close to her sister.

Kamaria rolled her eyrs and decided to keep her mouth shut, since something so dense like her sister Nyonda wouldn't be able to comprehend any insult she might make. Smiling smugly, Kamaria decided to back down and let Nyonda win this one without a fight. The hunting lesson had already begun it seemed, and Kamaria was not one to miss a beat, so she quickly ran up and walked closely to her mother. She wasn't exactly pleased with her mother's choice in prey. She was expecting something more dangerous, but it was probably better to start out small and work her way up. "Momma, what do we do first?"

Lumusi gazed at Nyonda. Her sister's personality really puzzled her. It wasn't exactly... nice but Lumusi couldn't think of her sister as being rude. She didn't know what to think of her behavior and Nyonda seemed nice to everybody else... How strange. Shrugging the thoughts out of her mind, Lumusi nodded at her mother. "Sounds good." Lumusi really didn't want to think about trying to catch bigger prey. Even though her personality was already developing into a more dominant type, she didn't want to be matched by her small size. Lumusi also noticed how their mother didn't answer the question about their strange appearances; it was strange but she knew it wasn't the time to press the subject. She was just thrilled at the fact that they were going to learn how to hunt! The little cub began to follow her mother out of the cave. She kept a safe distance away from her mother not wanting to appear clingy to her sisters. Lumusi gazed around curiously wondering how her mother would teach them such a vital skill.

With a shake of her head and back, she was ready. It took forever to get into her daydreaming world, and only moments to be broken from it - she mused, as she slowly came up to and rubbed against Nyonda, her tail flickering out behind her. She was ready for the day, even though her eyelids hung low, a tell tale sign of a day dreamer - but to her, everything was a day dream.

"I slept very well, dear sister - but now is the time we should learn about what lies on the outside, I think.."
she said, with her dreamy voice. Turning to her other sisters, and then to her mother, she beamed lightly and took the very first steps out of the cave in a fair little while. As she did this, the first thing that came to mind, was how much she adored the feel of the sun on her dark pelt.

It was like Heaven.

Turning behind her, she watched as her family - a sense of togetherness overwhelmed her a little - she was a dreamer and a believer, and part of her wanted to get away and see sights she'd never see without being alone, but another part knew she had to stay together with her family - it was all she had - her mother never talked about other family. So in her inner heart, she had thought up whom her father could have been - being so dark pelted, unlike her other siblings, she invisioned he was either pale, or dark, like she.

Shaking the idea off, she chirped into the daylight "Lets get going before the sun realizes we're out and hides again!"

Zuri smiled at Alama's interpretation of the sun. She herself was unsure about what caused the sun to rise and set, though her personal idea was that the sun was controlled by the gods. It seemed Alama had a different perspective, and quite an adorable one at that. "When we arrive to the hunting area, it is very important that you listen to me carefully and do exactly as I say or we will scare away the rabbits." She thought for a moment, trying to carefully plan out her lesson to them. Perhaps she should give it some more thought on their way to the hunting grounds. "Now, follow closely after me." Zuri began to head towards the hunting grounds, but kept enough just distance from them to let the cubs interact with each other on their own, yet still able to maintain a close eye on all of them.
Following after her mother, Nyonda turned to her youngest sister, Alama. "Alama, don't worry, if the sun starts to hide again, then we could too. Then the sun won't be able to see us and will come out again." She said this assuringly and sincerely. Of all her sisters, Alama was the one Nyonda was always the kindest to. Perhaps it was because she was the youngest and didn't pose as much of a threat to upstaging her for her mother's attention. Nyonda then turned to her other two sisters. "I say we play a little game. Whoever is the quickest to learn hunting wins. Though I can already guess the winner." She gave an arrogant smirk.

Kamaria scoffed at Nyonda's arrogance and ran up to their mother. Hunting would be so exciting for her, and it would be a great opportunity to emerge as a help to momma. "Nyonda, I appreciate your prediction, but we all know that everyone has an equal chance of learning the fastest. Now, I'd recommend you not make up anymore of these games, because I don't want to have to tell you 'I told you so' when you lose. " She sighed and looked up at her mother, quickly remembering that they weren't supposed to talk anymore not to scare the rabbits away.

Zuri was listening into her daughter's conversation and couldn't help but smiling and laughing at them and their precious behaviors. "Now, now girls, play fair and stay quiet," she said in a firm motherly tone. "We'll be at the hunting grounds in any second...in fact...we're here." She smiled as she arrived to a small field of rabbits with her four daughters. "Stay quiet and I'll begin the lesson." This motherhood thing was easier than Zuri had thought, and there is no other place in life that she'd rather be than with her beautiful girls.
