Ayden was laying on the ground with his legs in the air watching as the world around him spun. That had hurt. Oh man, that had hurt a lot. He looked to the side trying to focus his eyes a little bit to see how Zillah was handling things. She seemed okay, probably hurt as much as he did right now, but at least she was saying something other then 'ow'.
"It's alright." He said rolling over to get off his back. "You'd be surprised how much this happens to me." A bit of laughter spilled out of his mouth as a small slide show of all his trips, slips, stumbles and tumbles flashed through his mind. "Just let me know you're fine and things'll go back to normal in no time." A bright smile lit up his face.

Zillah stood up quickly and looked at her legs.A little bruseing wouldn't hurt a thing.She walked slowly over to Ayden."I'm fine.Really I am.Just a little sore but.It was my fault really."Zillah stood beside him and nuzzles his cheek softly."We should go and lay in the water to get some of this pain away."Zillah looked at him.She had a little limp to her but she'd be fine.

Ayden shook his head before climbing to his feet. "Nah, it's not your fault." He said with a smile tilting his head one way to the side to get his mane to fall off his shoulders and back. He liked it better when it just stayed on the side. "It was just an accident. You stopped and I didn't...so yeah we both could've changed something but we didn't so...accident!"
He glanced out to the water knowing that Uyasga was still lurking somewhere in the surf like he always did. One foot of his into that water and he was almost certain he'd be fishing out a lobster. "Uhhh....you can lay down Zi...I'll keep watch. I'm not hurting that much anyway." It was a complete and total lie that he wasn't hurting but as he strutted forward he made it look convincing that he wasn't feeling anything.

Zi?Was that her nickname for him.Well anything from him was good enough.She layed beside him and put her head under his."I know it was an Accident."Zillah nibbled on his mane some.
Zillah smiled some and layed her head on his legs and rubed his head agenst him.She was starting to like him.Her eyes were starting to shut.Why was he going to keep watch?There was nothing to watch over.She hoped his family or that lobster wouldn't come along.She was haveing a great moment.

Ayden blinked and took in a much deeper breath then he had intended to at the brown mare's actions. If she knew it was an accident then why did she apologize and what was she doing now? He gulped and looked down at Zillah ears pinned back out of nervousness. "Ummm...hey..."He managed to squeak out.
This was getting to be a bit much. With a shake of his mane he took a few giant steps backwards. The feeling was nice and all but it was the kind of behavior he'd only ever seen couples show. He wasn't in a couple and he wasn't like Dark so this kind of thing...it seemed a bit...well...wrong. "Uhhh...look Zi...maybe you should go lay in the water for a little bit. It'll make you feel better, like you said, I'm sure."

Zillah looked at him and stood.She walked off without saying a word.She nodded just a little.Zillah soon layed in the river and didn' look back once.She was just going to sleep and relax.She shook her head and watched the river flow.No words came from Zillah.She just didn't want to make him mad at all so she went without any questions.

Ayden looked a bit worried. Had he done it again? Based on the silent treatment he had, in fact, pissed her off. He just had no luck dealing with people. With a sigh he turned and made his way back to the ocean to check that he hadn't upset his lobster friend too. It was true, he guessed, that any good start would end bad and any bad start would end well.

Zillah seen him walking off.She stood up and limped after him."Ayden..."She said catching up to him slowly.Zillah got to his side."I ment to say something but I didn't want to make you mad."Zillah nuzzled his softly.

"Why would I be mad?" He asked half-snapping at the mare. People made so many assumptions about him. He didn't leave if he was mad, he would make the other person leave and it took a lot to make him mad. Okay, he was a little mad now. Not at Zillah but at himself. He was mad at all the silly mistakes he always made when talking.

Ayden sighed and stopped walking. "Look, Zi...I...well you." He paused trying to think of what to say. Just flat out saying he wasn't her mate so she shouldn't be touching him didn't seem right. He normally wasn't concerned with how his words could be taken but he knew that would be just flat out cruel. "Well...you aren't my love." He said squeezing one eye shut like he was expecting to get attacked because he was.
He didn't understand. He never understood. Mares were strange, attractive, but strange.

Zillah listened to him and kept walking.She didn't say a word.She wasn't going to hurt the poor stallion.She was just to walk away.Ayden was a friend.And her nuzzles were only friendly love.Nothing more.Not even to mates.She just was nuzzleing him as a friend."I understand."She said quietly.

Ayden watched as she walked off knowing what he said was pretty mean but he knew it had to be said. He liked having friends but he was not too fond of touches showing closeness coming from a mare he had only just met. "Okay, thanks." He said with a slight smile unsure of white the quiet tone in her voice meant. She sounded like she was sad but it was also possible that she was a bit mad at him. "Look I've gotta go." He said turning his back on the mare. "There's someone at the village I gotta go visit."
While this wasn't the full truth it wasn't a lie either. He just didn't really want to hurt her anymore then he probably already had. It seemed a bit easier to make her think that there was another girl in his life that made him shy away from touch then the reality that he just didn't like being touched.

Zillah listened."Bye then.Hope to see your again."She nodded."Then you can go.Bye Ayden."She walked and walked.Soon she was out of sight from the stallion.She'd find someone better.But Her and Ayden were just friends.
