"There's always hope, ya know," Sunnie said with an angry tone, "I mean, if you just give up when a little something goes wrong, then you'd be giving up on everything!" She looked down at her battered pokemon, trying to resist not to let out a cry. I know you can do it... she thought to herself.
Glace tried not to cry, either - intense pain was emanating from every part of his body. His side hurt the worst, though, especially after he had went flying and took a rough landing right on it. M-my ribs... ughhh... just try not to look at it... he thought as he hoisted himself back on his feet. "Woah man, you sure do take these battles seriously..." he said to his opponent. "What's up with all the viciousness? It's so not cool."
Sunnie breathed a sigh of relief at seeing Glace able to stand. "Okay, umm, well, if she thinks that we can't win, we'll just have to show her wrong, won't we?" Sunnie said, trying to sound absolutely sure of herself. "Ice Fang!"
Glace looked at his trainer and nodded. If this Absol was going to play rough, then Glace just had to play rough too. He started to growl furiously as his freezing breath came from his mouth in a foggy cloud, turning his fangs into razor-sharp blades of ice. "I told you you'd pay... time to live up to my word!" he shouted as he darted towards Isamu, fangs ready to cause serious damage. I hope this works... this has to work... he thought in the back of his mind.

The woman's eye gleamed as she listened to Sunnie's hopefull speech. "Fine, let's see how far hope gets you in this battle." Her lips curled, Yes, hope for the world and let me break your spirit.
Isamu's face turned serious as he watched Glace stand once more, Heh, that's right, stand up and keep fighting. He smirked slightly when he heard his thoughs on the absol, "(One should always put everything on the line when they've got nothing left to lose. Becoming vicious, that is only necessary.)"
Kailana rolled her eye, "Yet again you think you can hurt us." She didn't bother looking towards the two pokémon, "Night slash."
The absol closed his eyes and concentrated his thoughts on his right paw, drowning out Glace's charging straight for him. Another dark purple aura began to eminate from his black claws before he lunged forward, "ABSOL!" aiming for Glace's cheek.

Glace took the blow in the face - not especially hard, but it was enough to leave a nasty sting and knock him away from Isamu. "Ughhh... You don't ever quit, do ya?" He said with a growl, wiping blood off his face with one of his paws. He began to wonder if Sunnie was in a bit over her head with battling this girl...
Sunnie clenched her fists. This looks bad... but... I can pull through it... she thought to herself. "Think? I know I can hurt! If I can't get out of here a winner, then I can at least do as much damage as possible!" she shouted as she got increasingly angrier at Kailana. "Tackle!!"
Glace nodded. He had to show this absol that he meant business, and that if he was going down, he wouldn't do it without a fight. He forced his tiring body to charge forward full-speed at Isamu, hoping that he'd be the one to go flying for a change.

The woman snickered a final time before shifting her arms to fold behind her head. She was almost ready to sit down on her side of the field but felt the need to keep her armor as clean as possible. She closed her eyes for a few moments, letting Isamu school the younger male.
Isamu sat still, sitting back on his haunches as he waited for Glace to attack, almost taunting him. "(You don't get it, do you?)" he hissed, eyes glaring, "(You have to want it, you have to need it!)" He grinned at the spot of blood on the side of Glace's face, his tongue going over his teeth as he snarled.
"Yes yes, of course," Kailana muttered, "if you can hit us." She peeked out of her red eye once she heard Glace beating against the rocky ground, calling out her next attack, "Keep him where he belongs, Isamu, iron tail."
The elder pokemon slowly rose, taking his time while the glaceon charged for him. With a quick speed he whipped his body around, thwacking his the air with his tail making a shwoosh sound, hoping to smack Glace back into the boulders.

Sunnie clenched her fist, trying to resist the urge to completely scream at her opponent. "We... we can do it!! Just you watch! You'll see!!" she shouted. Come on, Glace... What's wrong?... You can hit him... she thought with uncertainty.
Glace didn't even see the agile absol move out of the way - by the time he noticed that Isamu was gone, he felt a crushing blow against his back. He was slammed against the ground, but managed to put his front legs out and stop himself from skidding into the rock pillars once more.
Unnghh... man... I gotta do something about this guy... even if I can hit him just once... if I can just start to wear him down... Glace thought, trying desperately to figure out how to get out of this situation. He hopped back up on his paws, trying not to let his exhaustion show. I got... I got to... I have to... he again charged towards Isamu in an attempt to send him into the air.

Kai raises a brow as she watched the girl's motions, seeing anger rise within her as she smiled. Her attention turned to the battle and calling their next move, "Grab hold, bite him!"
Isamu was pushed back slightly, his claws digging into the rocky ground to slow his opponent. "(Grar!)" he snarled with mouth open as far as it could go and rushing it towards Glace's fur, aiming for his neck.

Sunnie put her hands on her hips and huffed. Hmmph, what a jerk... she thought. I hope that absol ends up mauling her one day, that'll show 'er...
Glace yelped as Isamu made contact with his neck - it was painful, but thankfully it missed his jugular by just a little. He shook off the blood and fur as he struggled to remain standing. This guy... this guy is really... really serious... he thought. He took shelter behind a small boulder, hopefully biding some time before the next assault.
Sunnie gulped, trying to keep the lump in her throat down. "Glace... you can make it out of this! Just freeze him for a bit and do some damage! Please!!"
Glace barely heard his trainer's command, being as he was in such a daze, when he started getting his Ice Fang ready. His teeth turned to frozen knives as he peered behind his hiding spot, looking for Isamu. When he spotted him, he forced his tiring body to jump up in the air. I've got to do this... I've got to...!!

"Ah ah ah," Kai shook her finger at the other trainer, "Did I say you could attack?" She grinned, content with her near perfect battle as she looked to her faithful absol. "Let's finish this battle Isamu, fire blast!"
Isamu's jaw dropped as a red sphere began to form with small embers popping out from it. As soon as it was big enough, he expelled the flames with a loud roar, spraying the X like array towards the ice pokemon before he had a chance to get any closer.

I've almost got him... I've almost-ahhhHHHH!!! By the time Glace saw the fire blast heading for him, it was too late to react - he ran right through it, feeling it burn and fry his body, enhancing the pain he was already in. "Urgh... that... was not good..." he managed to say as he shook the embers and smoldering chunks of fur off of him. When he tried to stand up, his vision faded away and he fell to the ground in a dizzy haze.
Sunnie jumped up and almost lept over the trainer platform. "Glace!! Glace, get up! We can't let her win this easily, we just..." Tears started to flow from her eyes, though her expression remained determined. She can't when like this... It's not right... It's not fair... It's just not possible... "Glace! Show them what you're made of! Blizzard!!"
Glace slowly brought himself from off the ground. He stood straight up, eyes closed, as a cold wind began to form in the arena. The ground turned to ice and slowly spread from beneath his feet until his whole side of the stadium was frozen solid - the walls, the pillars, everything. Soon enough, a flurry of snow decended from the ceiling and surrounded Glace in a whirling vortex of white.
"Now, Glace!!"
His eyes snapped open, glowing blue with a newfound power. He howled as his snowy tornado shot towards Isamu with terrific speed. If this couldn't freeze him, then perhaps nothing could...

The elder absol stared solemnly at Glace, his stance unyielding as he watched his blur fur turn to ash and fall from his body. All he did was grin sadistically, relishing in the victory close at hand at the glaceon's expense.
Kailana showed no sypathy for Sunnie, she should have been fully aware of Isamu and her's fighting style; rumors were already around town about how she faught with no mercy. Her lips parted as she ordered their final attack, "Payback!"
And with that Isamu's eyes began to glow red, their radiance peering through Glace's blizzard gust as he mustered his strength together. "SOLL!" He shrieked As the tornado turned purple, growing more violent and now headed the opposite direction.

Glace stared, mesmerized, at the spinning dark tornado. He didn't register that it was heading straight for him, and by the time he did, he was already flying through the air. As soon as his back made contact with a rock pillar, cracking it and sending some debris piling on top of him, he blacked out.
"Noo!" Sunnie cried as she took out her pokeball, quickly returning Glace before anymore damage could be done. She glared at Kailana - how could anybody be so emotionless, so cold and unfeeling? "Why... why are you like this?" Sunnie finally muttered, holding back her emotions.

She was careful to hide the smile that wanted so much to show on her face, but she kept her feelings hidden as she spoke. "In a world where only the strong survive you have to be tough enough to want to be the best and be willing to make sacrafices." She then turned her back to Sunnie as she stepped down off her platform as soon as it was brought level to the ground once more.
Isamu kept his eyes idly focused on the spot Glace had rested under the rocks before being called back into his ball. He blinked, coming back to the moment before he walked back to his owner and stood by her side.
