Have you ever had an idea/thought regarding Queen that strikes you as rather obsessive or odd?
  No way, you're insane!
Erm...maybe...I mean, whatever would give yout that idea? *nervous laughter*
  One or two, perhaps.
Are you kidding me? I've had tons! XD

I have obsessive thoughts like this all the time.
Like, whenever I try to play stuff on my guitar, I'm like I'm so glad that like, Deaky can't hear me attempt to play the chords to Misfire...
sweatdrop
And even then, he loses me at the key change.
I'm like
WAIT!
Can I cheat and use my capo to change the key?
xD

There must be a way to let the show go on! *Fairly obvious, I know.*

Yeah, actually. This reminds me of my summer vacation, when my family and I went across the country to the East Coast. We were at one of the better rest stops and I see this guy going to his car, wearing hideous sandals (why I noticed him in the first place) but then I look up at him and I'm like "OHMYGOD FREDDIE MERCURY" because I swear he is a long lost relative of Freddies.

Anyway, this guy was with his boyfriend, which made me not ask to get a picture of him. I thought he might think I just wanted it because he was gay or something, so...

Wow...that's pretty weird, how you ran into someone who looked so similar to Freddie. And especially since he was with his boyfriend and all...well, you know. Kind of a freaky coincidence.

I wonder how often that guy gets comments about how he looks just like Freddie? If he looks that scarily like him, I bet people have pointed that out to him before.

That reminds me, man. I was at the grocery store once, and I kid you not, I saw a guy in there that looked almost completely exactly like Pete Townshend, down to the big nose. I mean, if he hadn't gotten in a red pickup truck with local liscense plates, I would have sworn it was the real deal. xD
What he'd be doing in a grocery store in Iowa, I don't know, but still. I blurted out 'holy crap' when I saw him, it was that weird.

*mentally envisions scene* Holy crap, I can see it too! That's frightening xd

Well, come to think of it, Jareth was played by David Bowie, whose onstage persona was quite similar to Freddie's, so perhaps it isn't quite as much of a coincidence after all.

Oh, and while we're on the topic of picturing Freddie in random situations: can't you just totally see him as a manicurist? Like, filing people's nails, and taking out that little cotton ball and dipping it into that acetone stuff and rubbing it on their fingers, and the way he'd delicately open the nail polish bottle, and the gentle dexterity with which he'd apply it onto his customers' hands? rofl

It's an idea I had bouncing around in my head for a while, that I was planning to use for a fanfic I'm writing. xd

Edit: Oops...this thread is getting way off-topic! So, does anybody else have some obsessive Queen thoughts to share? biggrin

hate to say it...but picturing Freddie in random situations...is a slightly obsessive thought...which means its not off topic at all
