Okay. So, I was eating dinner last night, just like always. And, as I reached for my glass, I looked at my hand and realized something.
My hands look kind of like Freddie's!
I'm serious. They're kind of...long, and thin, and...well, maybe "bony" isn't the exact word, but you get the picture. Which is, basically, what his hands looked like. (If you want a reference, look at the cover photo for Queen II.)
Well, that revelation crossed my mind for only a moment, and then I stepped back from that train of thought and said to myself, "Wow, that was really obsessive! eek If anyone ever learned about THAT, I would be embarrassed for the rest of my life!"
So now, I find myself posting it in detail on the Internet to share with the world. Go figure. xd
So, fellow Queenies, I've been meaning to ask you; has anybody here had any rather...strange thoughts regarding Queen or one of the members of Queen, even for a moment, that you would like to share? (And if you have had one of these thoughts, please do. I kind of need reassurance right now that I'm not a completely obsessive freak...or, if I am an obsessive freak, that at least I'm not the only one here at the Break Free Guild. sweatdrop )

OMG! That's so weird! read below .|| .|| .|| .|| .|| .|| .|| ||/ ./
lol-for the first time ever, I painted my fingernails black (first time black, not first time with nail polish, anyone who thought that), and as I went to bed, I had this weird thought about Don't Stop Me Now and how Freddie only has his nails painted black on one hand...weird of you to bring that up at a time like this...but my fingers are short and stubby...

Wow...that is kinda strange. We both had rather odd thoughts about Freddie's hands, at roughly the same time! O_o
I wonder what Freddie's reaction would be if he had a crystal ball? I mean, come on, just picture it in your mind for a moment:
"Bloody hell, there are legions of Queen-crazed fangirls obsessing over my hands!" XD

lol-somehow, I can easily see Freddie with a couple of crystal balls in his hand, twirling them about like Jareth from Labyrinth

*mentally envisions scene* Holy crap, I can see it too! That's frightening xd
Well, come to think of it, Jareth was played by David Bowie, whose onstage persona was quite similar to Freddie's, so perhaps it isn't quite as much of a coincidence after all.
Oh, and while we're on the topic of picturing Freddie in random situations: can't you just totally see him as a manicurist? Like, filing people's nails, and taking out that little cotton ball and dipping it into that acetone stuff and rubbing it on their fingers, and the way he'd delicately open the nail polish bottle, and the gentle dexterity with which he'd apply it onto his customers' hands? rofl
It's an idea I had bouncing around in my head for a while, that I was planning to use for a fanfic I'm writing. xd
Edit: Oops...this thread is getting way off-topic! So, does anybody else have some obsessive Queen thoughts to share? biggrin

YOU...HAVE...A...RECORD...PLAYER?
I'm SOOOO jealous. My family has some records, and I've always been dying to know what it sounds like when you listen to one, in comparison with CDs and MP3s. But in my experiences, record players have been pretty hard to come by, so I've had no way to quench my curiosity. biggrin
Near-obsolete music format envy aside, that's awesome how you named some of your music-related stuff after our beloved Queenies! I mean, nothing says "dedicated Queen fanatic" like an iPod named Roger Taylor! xd
Oh, and that reminds me: I happen to be in possession of a keyboard which I've dubbed--you guessed it--Freddie. Only privately, of course, as it is my family's keyboard and I'd prefer they not know how far gone I am in my obsession with Freddie/Queen... redface

I have one:
It was about 9:30, and outside was dark so I turned on my light then stood in the middle of my room to figure out what to do. I turned around, and it was so weird, my shadow looked exactly like Freddie's silhouette off of the Bohemian Rhapsody video.
Oh, and when I'm bored I'll randomly associate words with a song (i.e. Someone will say "Remember, you have to be on time" so I'll respond either 'Dead on Time' or just sing some lyrics. Funny scenes may follow)

Soon, my friend's like '... I wanna skip...' I said, 'I wanna sing... let's improvise.' So we skipped down the hall singing 'Don't Stop Me Now'. We scared a couple of sixth graders... as soon as they saw us, they ran.
After that, my friend and I started laughing and all the teachers thought we're crazy or on something. xd

snickers-we have to do a music video on grammar for school, and we had us flipping through the channels of a tv, watching bits of different music videos about grammar. One just happens to be I Want To break Free, but with different lyrics...I'm Fred, which mean I have to sing....OH GAWD-I can't sing!
It's gonna go on youtube eventually

Just out of curiosity...what did your teacher think of it?
