Liana gave the fledgling a thorough look before settling down. The little one still seemed a bit shaken and a warm feeling quickly grew within the keeper as she eyed the mist female. She ripped the prey with a swift motion and lifted a talon in the young one’s direction.
“My name is Liana.“ she started with her soft musical voice “Squirrel leg?”

Dash seemed very interested in Osprey most likely due to the fact he hadn’t seen many mist sentinels. However, when the other companion turned to him, the mus moved forward as well, sniffing Zekdek curiously.

“Do you might if I join this little gathering?” said a voice from above as the red-eyed teacher landed on a higher branch. “Please ignore the skurri, it belongs to me. Hello Liana.” Breeze eyed the tan skurri briefly as she raced in her direction, hopping between the tree branches before her eyes moved to the keeper’s. She held a large mouse tightly in one talon that she had meant to give the keeper has a sort of peace offering and Liana's larger prey made her feel slightly upset.

More company? Alethia twisted to see Breeze. Not a threat, certainly, despite the unusual color of her eyes. Her wings shifted. "I don't mind. The branches will hold, I think."

The appearance of the somewhat frightening red eyed and feathered ghost sentinel caused Osprey to slick her feathers back in alarm. The other two adults did not seem to be bothered, so she struggled to put on a brave face, so to speak.

Dash’s back curved at the sight of the new arrival and yet again the mus retreated to his master’s side with somewhat of an irritated expression. Standing up to his to the fullest his small height allowed, he challenged the red gaze with unusual defiance.

“Breeze…” the word lingered in the air for a few seconds before the keeper managed to fight back the surprise. Suddenly, just as her companion, she straighten up in a rigid stance and even if her tone seemed light and cheery, her body shouted her true feelings. “My, how did you find us in the middle of the forest? And what a coincidence! I’m suddenly surrounded by two female ghost teachers… isn’t that… so how did you find me?”

“I passed by your territory and a very nice deep woods male told me you were out. I must’ve have seemed a little upset because he kindly offered the location to where you were headed.”

“That was my father.” Liana words came out more bitterly than she intended as she wondered if the teacher was purposely trying to expose her mixed lineage to the others – something they might have realized already anyway.

Bree ruffled slightly before quickly changing the target of her attention. “You are a teacher as well? Marvelous! My name is Breeze and I teach in a bit of land near the deep woods. By the way, little one, you have to practice that flying. Are you lost? Do you need help getting back to your parents… minders?

It would have been impossible to ignore the tension between the other two adults. Alethia noted it, stored it away, and opted not to comment or question. Instead she answered, "I am a teacher, yes. Alethia is my name. I'm very pleased to meet you."

She offered, "I think our little fledgling here was just out looking for something to eat. She came out of that knot there," Alethia indicated with a wing. "She can't be far from home."

"I'm learning to fly... B'I'm getting it goodly!" She fluffed her feathers at the assumption that she was lost. "I'm not lost... I j'dunno where I am, s'all... I can get back..." At the mention of eating and at the offer of a squirrel leg, she eagerly inched nearer to the aberrant keeper and accepted it.

Osprey’s voice seemed to have a soothing effect on the keeper. Liana shifted a bit, smiling as the fledgling took the small piece of meat and eyed the spot Alethia indicated.

Breeze returned Alethia’s courtesy before making a second attempt with the keeper, ignoring most of Osprey’s words . “The pleasure is mine, I’m sure. Liana… have you considered my proposal?” She was being extremely careful with the wording of her sentences, remembering how her previous encounters with the keeper hadn’t ended all too well. And though she liked to think Liana was rather oversensitive, a little voice inside kept insisting that she had crossed the line a couple of times with the aberrant.

And now there was private business to discuss? That was Alethia's cue. She gathered herself and said, "I should really be heading off," she offered. "Things to do before lessons begin again. Zekdek, come."

The mus looked at Dash regretfully, but turned and hurried toward Alethia, climbing onto her foot and clinging to the feathers there.

Osprey picked at the squirrel flesh quietly and watched the tree adults with curious golden eyes.

The tension between the three was unmistakeable, but the young fledgling was unsure why it was there.

“I hope you’re not leaving on my account…” Breeze started softly but was quick to bow her head and say her goodbyes “I understand the work that has to be done before the actual teaching. But I do hope to see you again, we might be able to share some interesting ideas.”

Liana seemed less inclined to let Alethia leave and Dash was visibly upset, blaming Zeddek’s departure on the red-eyed teacher. “I understand…” Liana said at last, lifting the rest of the carcass to the fledgling. “I really hope to meet you again, Alethia. Would you like a bit more, little one?”

"It's none of you," Alethia hedged. "There really is work to be done." And there was. It just wasn't the sole reason for leaving. "I'll see you all again, I'm certain. We'll trade ideas," she promised Breeze. "Or simply talk." That for Liana's sake. The fledgling got a fond glance, and then she was ready to go again.

Zekdek piped a hopeful, "See see you!" to Dash as he rode away on his keeper's leg.

"Yeahyeahyeah... Erp... I mean, yes, please!" She piped up, but remembered the manners Twist had taught her after a moment. She hopped nearer to Liana rather trustingly. She had food, so she must be nice.

OOC: Sorry, wasn't paying attention. .__.

"See see you!" Dash repeated, watching Alethia leave as she took his almost-friend with her.
“Eat all you want. What is your name?” Liana lowered her head slightly, happy to be gaining the young sentinel’s trust.

Breeze’s eyes lingered on the fledgling even as she spoke to the keeper. “About my request… to some extent, it might actually increase your business… but in the end it’s a favor and you will be paid accordingly. If it’s alright with you, I could take the fledglings to your territory and save you the journey… “

The teacher paused watching Osprey’s movements with sudden interest “… and you, little one… the most important thing is practice. You must practice flapping your wings every day after you wake up and before you go to sleep. Small jumps at first and careful not to go too high. Just up and down, worry about balance and direction later. Make sure your wings are strong and used to the movement before you take… longer journeys. Obviously, make sure you do it in a safe place.”

She pondered on asking if the fledgling had a task in mind for the future and remained quiet to avoid being disappointed.

Ally poked the dead mouse as if trying to remind her master of the forgotten creature.

To avoid further embarassing herself, the little fledgling puffed up and announced her nickname proudly. "Ossie!" She had difficulty in pronouncing her full name, for now, anyhow.

She neared to Liana and turned her gaze to the frightening Breeze, but understood that the ghost sentinel was only offering advice. "Thank'y' ma'am..."
