"You have a wise head upon your shoulders for not giving the herd to her, she is unworthy of such a place, no matter how hard she'll fight for it. She'd grind our family to their deaths." She hissed, knowing full truth of her words and harsh reality of what mare was at once willing to do to her family. Flicking her tail, she waited for him to follow after his brief stop.

"Then what do I feel then? Such a burning poison runs through my veins at the thought of my daughter, my flesh and blood." She was blinded by everything, the silence, her anger, the pure agonizing pain that still lurched her heart. She had almost ignored Mare's words about the mating of her children, Cacillie had found a worthy mate and Drake had found his heart.

"Then perhaps she would deem Constatine's interest as well? He has told me of his interest to a Pyramid Head, I assume you know of him?" She smiled disdainfully at the thought of her son loving other stallions, she was proud of his difference. Shaking her head, the silence inched it's way into her mind.

Her senses were no longer alert, she cared little for it. Anger still burned at her body, and yet her heart longed for it to disappear for her to mourn over her loss and to hide away from everyone. But no, she must see the family, must confront her daughter and the others with their mutiny. She had to know why.

"I'm being no more wise than I am looking after the best interest of our family, for now war is not what we need." He tossed his head slightly makeing his mane fly for a moment. "Pitty them I guess, hate is never the right emotion to feel against ones own child ... it does more to you than you realize now." He found slightly, he'd completely forgotten to mention the new member of the herd.

"I failed to mention the ... addition to the herd .. a stallion named VooDoo ... he doesn't talk or make noises for that matter and his place in our debates isn't yet known .. but he has the scent of our dear Deutschland so he was allowed to join with us." He wondered about the silent stallion whom tended to stay off by himself creating string things his stitched lips barely twitching in any facial movements.

"Pyramid Head? Never heard of the stallion, but the apple doesn't fall to far from the tree, I of course have had male lovers. Markus didn't have the time to know if he liked both genders or not before Cupid shoot him" He gave as much of a shrug as his horse body would allow him and lifted his head, the sweet scent of Cacilie filling his nostrils. "Our sweet Princess is waiting for us around the bend .. surprising considering she usually stays with Chikotae..." He smiled slightly, Cacilie had changed much since Mista had last seen her, and he had already been talking to Shade about passing the herd down to her and Constantine once they stepped down.

The small brown mare waited silently for her mother and Nightmare. Her blind golden eyes were closed as her long silken white and icy blue mane covered her tiny face. She knew she should have been with Chikotae now, protective him for her conniving sister, but if she knew the stallion as well as she though she did he couldn't have been far behind her.

Cacilie hadn't seen her mother in so long, and she wanted to be the firs of their family to see her now.

She shifted and the armor on her hind legs jingled, and the sparkling semi-transparent blue flames sparked almost angry that she had dared to move.

Since her mother had been gone Cacilie had changed much, she'd once been small and weak but now her entire body rippled with thick muscles hidden beneath her chocolaty brown coat like coiled vipers ready to strike. Her mane mane was brushed to perfection and the armor had been polished till one's reflection could be seen in the azure steel. Her horns had even been sharpened to deadly pints.

She wasn't just their soft little princess, she was the herd's blind warrior princess.

NighMista sighed softly, turning to Mare, fresh tears boiling within her eyes, overflowing and then tumbling down her cheeks and onto the ground. It meshed against her veil and caused the soft material to stick to her face once more, gluing it there. Sniffling softly, she turned her head away to hide the tears and began to suppress them. She was so confused on how to feel on this matter, a mother should support her daughter. But, she wanted destruction of her sons and her other daughter! Of her family! She was torn in multiple places, her heart breaking even more.

"But it is a war my daughter seems to want... Is it worth it though? Causing one's family members to tear each other apart? And for what? Honor? Isn't family more then that?" She wondered aloud, then blinked at the mentioning of a new comer. Perhaps she would meet him some day, or not. She didn't really know for sure.

Hearing mare words about mating other genders, she only shook her head, thankful her Knight was hers, she would always think that way. no matter if he was.. was.. gone. She snorted to hide her sniffles and held her tears at bay once more. Turning around a bend, her breath caught in her throat. There before her was a being, rippling with power and strength. Muscles coiled, tense and relaxing, armor glistening as bright as day. She whimpered softly, slowing her pace as golden eyes were wide with surprise. It was her daughter, her beloved blind princess.

Who was now a warrior.

And was still ever the beautiful.

"Cacilie..." She whispered, amazed.

He shook his head slightly "Indeed, Ernsta wants war to 'purge our family of weak blood.' Family is different for everyone, some see it as more than others might, one has to remember that Ernsta is sill young .. brash and stupid. She has not yet felt what cupid's arrow can do." He hoped the day would come soon when Ernsta would feel the sting of love but he didn't know if it would happen nearly soon enough.

He smiled at Mista's surprise and proudly looked at Cacilie, she'd been training hard with him not letting him treat her any different from the others.

A breeze whipped through his mane as he watched the mother and daughter stepping back together them room to greet each other after such a long and now very hard time.

Cacilie's ears perked forward as she heard the hoof beats then her mother spoke her name and she opened her blind eyes as a soft smile curved upon her lips revealing her inherited vicious looking fangs.

"Mother!"

She turned and moved confidently towards her mother, no longer did she stumble and tap the ground in front of her, for her powers had grown and she could see the world in her minds eye when she focused. The armor on her hind legs twinkled, almost sounding happy to now be adorning her legs.

She stopped before Mista and nibbled at the tip of her mother's muzzle, being very careful of the delicate lace veil.

"You've been gone to long momma,"

If only father could have seen her now, how proud he would have been proud ... right?

NighMista was in complete awe of the beauty her daughter carried herself in, the sheer strength she moved herself and the confidence Cacilie never seemed to have before, now shone bright within her clouded eyes. She had been taught well, and by her guess she knew exactly who. At the soft n** upon her snout, she giggled softly and returned the caress.

"My darling, you're beautiful." She whispered, stepping forward to curl her neck around Cacilie's, in a make-shift hug, pressing her chest against her daughter's own, and gently nipping at the other's neck in a loving manner. Slowly, she pulled back, gold eyes clashing with gold.

"I'm sorry my darling, I did not mean to be gone for so long. I have been missing you dearly, as well as the rest." She murmured softly, flicking her spaded tail out from under her dress, causing the shimmering fabric to dance around her in a swirl. Her veil was suddenly cast back with a toss of her head, the tears that were held within the flimsy fabric splattering across her face, and perhaps even on Cacilie's but she did not know for sure.

Shifting through the trees, a little aways from the oncoming group. Gleaming demonic eyes glittered from the darkness, the red-rimmed pupils staring out for anything that would dare walk this path. The orange-red eyes flickered from one side to another, careful for who would come. Nostrils flared upon a snout, taking in scents he knew. A bush rattled as the demonic eyes disappeared.

Moving slowly through the brush, remaining upon the outskirts of the path and alert. Muscles quivered under the thick fabric of the cloak he wore while armor clinked gently as he moved, showing his heritage from both sides. Wings fluttered, creating a racket within the brush, while a spaded tail flicked as well. A coat as black as night gleamed as the soft, sparkling fire around his hooves seemed to sputter and spit angrily at his movements. But he cared less.

The large frame of the stallion shifted suddenly, moving a little farther down the path and weaving through the branches of this glade, his home. Shimmering, ice-blue hair streaked throughout the air as he moved, tumbling around his neck gloriously and full of life. The red mark of Birth bright across his neck. Red horns gleamed, sharp and dangerous.

But was he actually so prone to violence? His dark stare moving swiftly from one side to another, searching for trouble and protecting. But what?

Nightmare stayed silent watching the exchange between mother and daughter, he had indeed trained Cacilie and trained her well. He was filled with pride every time he saw her, the way she moved with so much confidence and pride. Yet she always stayed humble until she needed to become the warrior she was.

His head lifted as he heard another approach and his nostrils flared trying to pick up the scent as every muscle went taunt in his massive body.

Finally a scent he knew entered his nostrils and he relaxed knowing well that the figure approaching was friend not foe. The massive stallion tossed his mane before finally speaking.

"Constantine..."

His voice boomed like nearby thunder makeing tree limbs rattle and leaves quake in it's wake.

"Stop hiding in the shadows boy you don't mask your presence from me."

She smiled slightly resting her head over her mother's back "thank you mom." She had indeed felt the tear drops hit her face, she had known her mother had been crying she'd seen it in her head but it still worried her. "It's okay momma ... you wouldn't want to live in the herd these days ..." her voice was sad but she quickly forced it away as Mare spoke.

"Constantine is nearby?" her head came up and her ears perked, she hadn't seen her brother since her training had begun months ago. She'd been so busy to hunt him down with her training and the new turmoil within the herd, she was even busy enough that she hadn't been able to project a new image of herself to Chikotae and show him her change.

Stepping back from her mother's embrace the brown mare raised her small head trying to focus her powers on her brother to see if she could locate him, but all she saw was trees and she couldn't tell if he was close or not.

NighMista remained close to her daughter, flexing her demonic wings up and stretching them out slightly in an absentminded manner. snuggling her snout into her daughter's mane, she blew gently and inhaled the scent of the younger mare. She had missed all of her children that had grown into beautiful mares and stallions. Er.. yeah.

At the mention of the herd, her ears perked slightly and she snorted loudly as she pulled back, only to shake her head. "Can you tell me of the herd?" She spoke, soft and yet her voice was hard with determination.

Flicking her tail at the mention of her son, he had left her herd some time ago and she wondered where he had been. She couldn't sense him though, nor could she smell him. Where was he?

To say he needed any more prompting to come out was an understatement, his flesh rolled as he muscles moved out from the brush, coming out just to the left of Mare. Moving to stand just beside his grandfather, their massive sizes easy to compare to each other. Where his grandfather was massive and full of bulk, whereas Constatine was lean and compact with sleek muscles and a slightly taller frame.

"Can a protector do his job without getting noticed?" Going back to his promise to his sister when they were only little. He chuckled softly, the sound rolling out and dancing through the air. It was a deep baritone, and quite loud. His lips had pulled back, revealing his own set of devious fangs underneath the dark lips.

"Hello Mother, Sister." Flicking his spaded tail slightly, causing the shimmering fabric of his cloak to dance and swirl, his demonic eyes locked with his sister's as he realized she could not sense him. "You haven't been able to for awhile, dear beautiful sister. I have been training, and not so far from you or Grandfather here." he muttered softly, knowing she could sense him now. he allowed it.

"I am now stronger then ever, and can hide myself well from those I don't want to know. I have our mother's element, elusive."
PostPosted: Sun Aug 31, 2008 3:57 pm

The stallion stood silently then suddenly he was moving again leaving the mother and siblings to have their privacy, besides, he had other matters to tend to ... such as Ernsta.

"I trust Cacilie will be able to lead you all home from here... be safe, my duties are need at the herd."

For a while his uneven footfalls could be heard then they started fadeing away into the forest and finally into the clearing that the German's occupied.

She looked over to her brother as Constantine arrived "apparently not when myself and Nightmare are around brother." She gave him a teasing grin and flicked her spaded tail. She could see her brother's changes in her mind, but where she ahd been weak he had always had some strength, grace, and pride about him so Cacilie's change was far more awe inspiring than his own.

Her ears turned back at the mention of the herd "the family is in turmoil, Ernsta slips around recruiting family members to her dark cause .. anyone with a heart can barely live within the herd anymore." Her wings shifted upon her back and she tossed her mane slightly before turning once more back to Constantine.

"I can sense that you have brother ... I fear that all our strengths will be needed before to long ... Ernsta seems nearly ready to strike."

She pawed at the earth makeing her flames crackle loudly.

He watched as Mare left the three of them there, his demonic eyes watching the heart-laden stallion leave. He sighed softly, shaking his head briefly before stepping towards his sister and his mother. Yes, his change wasn't as drastic as his sister's change, but it was still there. Towering over his mother he leaned down to gently n** at her cheek lovingly, then nuzzled Cacilie's cheek soon after.

"Since our sister deems us unworthy, we must band together to change her mind, or a war will break out. Have you seen Drake?" he was curious, his brother had been gone for far too long. Flicking his tail, his nostrils flared out slightly at the mention of why this started. In all truth, Drake's rebuttal to Ernsta's deeming Allura not worthy was one of the main points.

Drake should be here.

She blinked, turning to Mare and not really wanting him to go, but her words fell onto empty air as the stallion was already gone. Something lurched within what remained her heart then, and she sniffled softly.
Then the soft n** her son gave her, she sighed and kept her tears at bay. was everyone going to leave her now? She shook herself.

"No, Drake has been gone for some time." Her voice came out harder then she thought, and it even stung her senses and made her regret her words. Guilt flowed through her at the harsh tone, but she shook it off. "Come, we must go." She bit out, her voice still hard as her heart sank within her breast.

"It might not be as easy as that brother, I don't know how many of our family have already been lured into believing Ernsta's lies, there are also new members to the herd.... if the one named VooDoo hsould turn against us and stand on Ersnta's side we very well may loose, I have never sensed a being of some much pent up magical power .. rage .. hate .." a shudder ran down the small mare's spine " he's not likely as psychically strong as one of us ... but his magic." She shuddered again, even though all of her training had strengthened her immensely Cacillie could barely think upon VoODoo's magic and not feel fear coarse through her veins like poison.

Damn that Ernsta! Damn her damn her!

Suddenly a small hoof shoot like greased lightning and connected with a large oak with an unrivaled sound.

The huge old oak groaned as it slumped to the side then fell with an earth shuddering crash to the forest floor.

Physical power was her families calling, but not even Ernsta could topple such an old oak with a swift strike of a hoof. Cacillie's small head was up now in shock, her nostrils flaring. She had seen the image in her mind's eye as if she had been watching someone else ... her hoof flying out in a blurr of motion, connecting with the old oak, then the oak groaning and falling, huge roots thicker than her legs sticking up in the air behind her body.

" Ooops..." she flushed slightly and shook her mane, she hadn't meant to do that especially not to such a beautiful old tree.

At the talk of Drake her ears turned sadlly to the side "I haven't seen our brother since shortly after the fight with grandfather."

She frowned deeply; Drake should be with the herd, yes maybe he had a new mate but he still should have been there with them.

NighMista watched the display her daughter gave off, pride welding within her breast as a smile curled upon her lips at the power their once weakest member held. She was now probably evenly matched with the rest of the family. She held such montrous power.

"It is fine, my darling." She smiled, shaking her head slightly from side to side. She wondered what her beloved would think of their wondrous children, their proud muscles and their hard work. Slowly, she moved slowly toward her daughter, urging her to show them the way toward the rest of the herd.

"I have been told of this new stallion from Nightmare, he has piqued my interest and hopefully we can overcome Ernsta from corrupting his thoughts on our family name." She murmured, knowing she was now one of the Germans, as they were called by many within the Realm. Flicking her tail slightly out from under her vast gown, peeking through her veil with gold eyes that seemed drained of all passion.

Flicking her ear slightly, she sighed softly and gently settled her nose against her son's shoulder, flaring her nostrils and scenting his unique scent. It was similar, the deep musky scent of stallion that battles, fights for their food. Strength.

Her knight's wonderful scent. She sighed, her nostrils flaring once more and taking in the female-like scent her son carried. A rose scent tickled against her sensitive nose, a snap away from the daydream she had almost entered.

"Come now." She murmured, passion left her voice.

Cacille tossed her mane as she moved long beside, yet slightly ahead of her mom. "I don't know if it will be that easy though mom ... he smells like pure hatred ...even Ernsta doesn't hold enough hate to cause it to have a scent rolling off her in waves." She flicked her tail with a snap. She was enthralled by the strange stallion, such raw power ... potential .. hate .. death. There were so many things about this strange creature that made her want to know more but she couldn't deny the fact that he was not a social creature and seemed far more likely to attack and kill than speak to anyone.

She was hopeful that Ernsta would be gone for the time being when the arrived back at the herd grounds, that would be their only hope to get to meet VooDoo without having to worry about their sister trying to croon him away from them and to her side.

But there was still the problem of would this stallion side with them of his own free will? Would his hatred keeping him from seeing their side?

Well .. only one way to find out.

Tossing her long mane she picked up her pace slightly, she had no lcue that the object of her morbid curiosity was moving towards them through the darkness of the shadows in the woods.

A huge stallion slipped through the shadows of the forest, he was nearly as large as Nightmare muscles bulging and rippling under his satiny black coat. These forests were said to be haunted with vengeful spirits of past yuma murdered by Nightmare and NightShade, spirits that attempted to kill any that invaded their shadows, yet they fled from him. Maybe it was the stench of death, blood, magic, and hate … yes maybe that was it the stench of rotting eggs and raw meat that seemed strong enough to burn the hairs in one’s nostrils.

He could smell them ahead, the three Nightmare had asked him to find. Normally he didn’t listen to any creature, but the herd’s youngest Cacille was one creature he did take care of… why? He had no hell of a clue, but he was as protective of her as any other German, despite not showing it very often to anyone even her.

He’d watched her and her mate from afar many times, making sure that her sister didn’t try anything foolish and stupid for the time being.

No, even without hearing the other side he had decided that he wouldn’t stand beside Ernsta, what she was doing was far too much for even him, a family was a family whether one viewed them as weak or not.

His extremely long mane drug the ground, yet it didn’t get dirty, flames crackled about his hooves and on the end of his long lion like tail. The shattered skull of some unknown Yuma hung about his forehead, held only by the thick long horn pushing from his skull and bones stitched to his large sides, his lips forever stitched close, speech eradicated until he could remember the spell to restore it for a time. Piercings gleamed across his body, from the two corset styles to the countless ones in his ears. The heavy chain about his neck jingled with every step and the spiked gauntlets upon his forelegs gleamed deviously.

He was ferociously beautiful ... yet deathly hideous all at the same time.

NightMista listenned intently to her daughter's words about the mysterious male, her tail flicking out behind her and feeling her cloak snap intune with her tail. Her body moved slowly, just a step behind her daughter, and knowing her son was a step behind her. She could hear the snap of her son's cloak.

"You never know..." Came her wistful voice, a hint of a smile curlong upon her lips as she was living a small daydream. "... He may be on our side, with enough hatred over breaking up a family as strong as ours." Her wings flexed as she moved, hope flickering within her heart.

If they could keep the mysterious stallion on their side, surely they could get their own family on their side as well. A stranger who knew so little of them, and then the family who knows both sides. Odds may be in their favour.

She flicked her tial and shook her mane yet again "we can hope mother, I don't know him well nough to ye undertsand what he thinks ... nor can he tell you." She continued to walk not bothering to watch where she was going so when she nearly bupe dinto the massive stallion as he seemed to materialize out of the shadows themselves.

She blinked slightly "oh ... OH!" she danced back and forth for a moment before stepping back from him her small hooves dancing feather light across the earth beneath her.

"Momma ... brother meet one of our newest members .. VooDoo." She had no clue why he was there but she was glad to see him

VooDoo's pupil-less eyes scanned over the family before turning back to Cacille carefully. He nodded a stiff greeting though it was obvious he cared nothing about the pleasentries. Then with a quick snap he turned and started to walk away the heavy thud of his hooves and the light cast by his flames leading them through the rest of the forest until it opene dup into the huge valley the German's called home.

He started to move stffly away, the croset piercings tugged painfully at his skin, but he'd long since forgotten to care about that anyway.

The rest of the families eyes were on him now as he moved through the field, a silent beast of a shadow, away from he small group he had escrted the final leg of their journey at Mare's request.

He stopped suddenly and turned back eyes the armor Cacille wore on her hind legs, he'd seen armor like that before on a stallion ... how could he have never noticed it before ... was she related to that stallion.

VooDoo shook his mane once more, he'd figure it out later for now he needed to work on his spell.

As the stallion seemed to come out of no where, she only bent her head in a greeting to him. His attire had caught her offguard at first, the stiched lips and the mask was different. But as her eyes danced along his frame, the stench he carried wafted behind him.

It danced into her nose and burned a trail through her senses, but she would never show it. Her eyes only watered slightly, but anyone could blame that ont he stab of pain that surged through her heart. Flicking her ear, she glanced at her saughter, not missing the glance the stallion had sent to her. What was he thinking? Shaking her head, she ignored it for now.

As the three of them entered the dwelling of their beloved home, NighMista immediatly held her head up high as they followed the large black stallion. She wasn't a true German, and she knew some of the family didn't approve of her at first, but Nightmare had silenced them awhile back. She didn't know if any of them still thought so.

As the large stallion rolled up around the small group of the three of them, he marvelled at how alrge he was compared to his grandfather and himself. For he had taken the large build his Grandfather carried, descending down the line through his father. His mother's family, from what he recalled, was normal Yuma size. But he had only met his uncle, and he wasn't too fond of his mother's choice of mate.

As the larger stallion lead them, he glanced to his sister and refrained from moving closer to her as the stallion seemed to only greet her, not him or his mother. His protective instincts over his family kicked in, and his demonic eyes narrowed dangerously before he calmed himself down.

This was not the time for pety anger, and he knew it. Especially as the three of them walked into the clearing the rest of the family was at, and Constatine stopped, glancing around at his beloved family. His head rested upon his mouther's back as she had stopped to, his action was that of protection. And many could see how well he had progressed in his training, his muscles bulging and hissize larger then most.
