He let his smile remain where it was, trying to keep it from widening or turning into a smirk. It was odd to meet a female who didn't seem to know anything about the little things a male could do to make his mate happy. Her questions seemed to show that she had never thought about it, if never heard about it.
"I don't think she would ever like it if I was gone for a very long time, no, but I've never really been gone from her side for long yet," he didn't add that they were newly mated to one another, because, frankly, it wasn't that important. He felt like their life would go this way no matter what. "Right now she is resting, so I left to get these and surprise her when she wakes up. If I ever do have to be gone for a long time, then.. yes, I would bring her something back to make up for it. Flowers, or something else."

"And if she wakes up before you return to her?" Her head cocked to the side as she watched and waited. "You should be getting back to her before your flowers begin to wilt... And I should be moving on while the sun readies itself for sleep." She nodded once, knowing that she had already lost more time than she would have liked on desiring company for a moment.

"Well, if she wakes up before I return to her then that would ruin the surprise all together, wouldn't it?" He stood slowly, bowing his head to her, a smile on his face. It was obvious to him that she was ready to be on her way, and he truly did need to get back to Kinya before she awoke - he didn't want her to worry about him being gone. "It was a nice talk, I hope fortune guides you where you wish to go," he said politely before leaning down to pick up his bunch of flowers lightly in his maw. With another dip of his head, he turned his back to her and began to trot off in the direction he had left Kinya. At least he had a little story to tell her now, about a nameless lioness.

She watched him leave, not quite sure what to say that wouldn't wind up coming off as rude or cocky... And now, with more thoughts on her mind, that was not what she wanted to come off as. She was certain that Fortune would continue guiding her though and that it had placed that male in her way for one reason or another. Whatever it may have been it was now time to move on. She had much land to cover before the sun rose again.
